Another compelling novel from Cantore. I love how she intersperses police details without overwhelming. And since she was a cop herself, you know they're accurate. Here's an inside glimpse into the life of a female cop, both professional and personal. With more than a dash of romance, this one's sure to police romantic suspense fans. (Though for those who aren't as into the romance, it's not heavy handed.)

This is exactly what happens to Police Officer Carly Edwards and her partner Joe. They're out on patrol enjoying the uneventful aspects of their shift when they get a call to go to the hospital. Joe's wife is mysteriously in a coma and his infant son has been taken to pediatrics as a precaution. Things go from back to worse w ...more

Wow! This was a ride. Carly is thrilled to be back on patrol. Her partner is Joe and his wife is hospitalized. While she is in the hospital, their baby is kidnapped and Carly is determined to find him. She will work with who she has to no matter what their feelings to solve this one!
I liked Carly's new faith. I love how fresh and 'vibrant' it is and even when it is tested, the author does a good job of making it realistic. Nick, Carly's ex-husband, somewhat annoyed me but I will wait to see what

My first ever police novel that I've read. Another keeper for on my shelf. I loved it from beginning to the end. The only drawback was that as it is the second book in the series, I didn't have any background of the characters.
When Carly's partner's wife lands in the hospital with a mysterious illness, she tries to help out wherever she can. On thing she didn't count on was getting her partner Joe's son back for him. The four month old baby was kidnapped right under hospital personnel.

I only gave this three stars because I think it is pushy and preachy with the Evangelical Protestant Christian Agenda. It seems almost forced. However, the plot and story line are quite good. I found the story moved quickly and held my interest. I also only gave it 3 stars because the writing style is choppy. Overall though I liked the book. This is the second book in the series and I read the first one earlier this year. I do plan on reading more of her books. I choose them when I want somethin ...more
