Tinseltown is about people who find themselves involved in the Hollywood Christmas Parade in some shape or form and where some find Christmas a hard time of year for different reasons, they discover that really things aren’t as bad as they could be and some even find romance.
This is a short story that keeps the momentum going looking at different characters perspectives of what Christmas means to them. All have issues in some shape or form and by welcoming the Christmas spirit each discover that...more

Tinseltown is a short story following 3 characters as they take part in the annual Hollywood Christmas parade.
Dom Judd is the latest big thing an admired by millions but has problems with ladies and drink. Laney has just won the latest TV talent show but is all wallflower due to hidden demons. Clare has just been dumped by her boyfriend and needs some cheering. The parade provides them all with a change in their life, be that romance, clarity or the removal of psychological burdens.

I just wish it could have been longer is my only gripe about this story, for just as I was starting to get into the whole thing and wondering about the characters lives and what would happen to them next, it ended. After which, we get an extract from an upcoming novel by this author who is new to me and I for one will be interested to read it. I found the whole premises interesting and the way in which it was written has left me wanting more of the same.
This is a short story in which christmas cheer should spread all over the world. It is not a high standing piece of literature. It is OK but thats all that can be said about it.
A very meagre storyline and you can see the "happy" ending a mile of and as it is a short story......the mile starts at about page 1.
Should do well in women's magazines.

This was a good read but seemed to end abruptly. Not really sure how I feel about it now. I feel underwhelmed I think as it was interesting and then just stopped. Okay for a quick read though.
A great short book...more of a taster than a full tale. Well written and the characters were well sketched in the short time available. I'd like to "meet" them in future.
