I love how Gina Robinson work the chemistry of husbands and wives--sultry, sweet, hot, tender, funny -- I'm looking forward to this! Come out soon!X)
Emmett (adore him) likes to play matchmaker.
Situation: Russian RIOT operatives and estranged wife of Agent Drew Fields, alias Greg the Hawaiian beach bum. Nice;)
Snippet:
Staci: “And what am I supposed to do for protection?”
He handed her a razor-sharp butcher knife from the block on the counter.

My Review:
Overall, I am really enjoying this fun spy series from Gina Robinson. The premise behind them is that Spy Boss, Emmett, does not want his agents to leave ex's behind. An ex is an informant to the enemy just waiting to happen. Plus, I honestly think that Emmett is simply a romantic at heart. These guys do difficult, stressful jobs and he doesn't want their love lives to suffer for that.
A while ago, Drew made the mistake of taking his wife Staci on a mission. It was supposed to be a roma...more

DIAMONDS ARE TRULY FOREVER was the second book in the Agent Ex series by Gina Robinson. However, you most certainly do not need to have read the first book to enjoy the rollicking, tongue in cheek laugh-fest that was this book. Full of James Bond, Get Smart, Spy vs. Spy and lots of other pop culture spy references, Diamonds are Truly Forever was a laugh-out-loud fun read.

A kiss on the hand may be quite continental, But Diamonds are a girl's best friend. - Marilyn Monroe
Staci Fields wants friends. Normal friends that she doesn't have to hide the fact that her husband is a spy. A spy that she hurt under duress. Staci feels the best course of action is a divorce.
Drew agrees to the divorce to keep his wife safe. Yet his boss sends him back to Staci's arms to keep her safe (Drew's priority) and out her stepfather as a traitor (boss' priority). Drew tells one lie to c...more

Do I always have to tell you the truth?
When you marry a spy, you know that the last thing you should ever do is tell someone that he is a spy. One careless slip created an avalanche for Staci that ruined her marriage to Drew and almost cost her, her life. Now Drew is back pulling Staci into another caper that brings them within kissing distance and Staci is not sure she can walk away this time.
There is trouble in Staci’s life that makes it so difficult to keep Drew at a distance even though she...more

I received this advance reading copy through the Goodreads giveaway program, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was my first time to read a book by author Gina Robinson. Even though I read mostly mysteries, this was my first 'spy' book, which was a nice change.
This book has everything that I enjoy in a good read; romance, mystery, lovable characters and a good plot. The husband, Drew, is a spy; his wife Staci is not. His occupation revolves around and depends on the element of deception. She can't li...more

Diamonds are truly forever and this diamond shines as brightly as the first book in Robinson's Agent-Ex series. (The Spy Who Left Me)
Staci can't tell a lie to save her life--or her husband's either. Drew's life as a spy is one big lie. Divorce makes the most sense for each other's safety, but it's no lie they still love each other.
This is a fun, fast-paced tale that brings smiles while warming your heart. Enjoy!

I would love to read this novel, because I love characters who are spies and I expect a great storyline.
I enjoyed the first one a lot. The characters were funny and the two main protagonists definitely had a lot of chemistry. This book I found to be much sweeter. I owe my admiration to the book mostly to Staci because I found her to be adorably sweet. She truly truly loved Drew and deserved to have her spy fairy tale come true!

Additional review notes:
This was one of the most laugh out loud funny romances I have ever read. It made me rethink my general dislike of comedic romances.

This is the 2nd book in the Agent Ex. files and fans won't be disappointed. This series has everything a girl could want: fast paced, great mystery, fantastic dialog, fast moving plots and of course romance.
If you enjoy reading a fun spy series and are looking for something good to read, you won't be disappointed if you pick this up.

Gina Robinson loves humor, romance, suspense, and spies. Not necessarily in that order. Her latest toy is a video spy pen. She plans on putting her engineering degree to good use by building a tasar out of a disposable camera using the instructions and schematics from The Evil Genius series. Fair warning--she hasn't held a soldering iron in quite a few years.
