so... this book had serious potential. I mean first- look at that cover. shirtless man on a motorcycle - GIMME!! - The plot of the story itself wasn't even bad either.

Lexie Meyers owns a restaurant in Star Harbor and is starting a catering business but when former bad boy Sebastian returns to town for his annual meet up with his brothers he finds he can't get Lexie out of his head. Sebastian, or Seb as he's called is a rising star in the cooking world - he has a very successful restaurant in NY...more

Let me start off by saying that I normally wouldn't read a book with a title like this. It's just not usually my cup of tea. But wow, I'm glad Sara suggested it!! I loved it!!

Sebastian Grayson is a celebrity chef. He's come home to Star Harbor for a fishing weekend with his brothers but that all goes out the window when he meets Lexie Meyers. Lexie immediately captures Sebastian's interest simply because she isn't fawning over him like all women do. Maybe this should be a little lesson for us, l...more

Having read more than my share of romance novels I always enjoy discovering a new to me author. When the author delivers an exceptionally great product, I’m ecstatic! Deep Autumn Heat by Elisabeth Barrett is an emotionally charged, well developed, superb story.

Sebastian Grayson (Seb) is in Star Harbor to reconnect with his brothers as they always do on the anniversary of their father’s death. Seb now resides in New York, in addition to being a well known...more

This contemporary romance, centered around two chefs and restaurant owners, has all the makings for a charming romance. Lexie owns her restaurant in small town, Star Harbor, a tourist destination and she’s launching her new catering business on the side. Seb, a big time, famous chef based out of New York, grew up with his three brothers in Star Harbor and is back visiting when he walks into Lexie’s café. His interest is evident when she...more

For the most part, I’ve had good luck with Loveswept releases. First, they have been at a great price point, $2.99 and I’ve enjoyed Jessica Scott’s Because of You and both of Ruthie Knox’s books. I believe Elisabeth Barrett is a debut author, and I’m always on the lookout for a good contemporary. This one has a good set-up for the series as a whole, but I wasn’t quite sold on the book.

Every year, the Grayson brothers return to Star Harbor for a long weekend to remember their father. The brothers...more

A sleepy little town is the perfect place to escape from it all. Even escaping from an abusive ex. Lexie Meyers has rebuilt a life for herself in Star Harbor. As chef and owner of her own small restaurant Lexi serves up low brow fare and a side of spice.

Sebastian Grayson is a chef on the rise of stardom. High brow restaurants and television shows are his ticket. Seb also has a rep for being one of the hottest catches around.

Well from here on out you get the gist of it all. They meet; sparks fl...more

Take two talented chefs, combine them lots of lust and passion, mix in a bit of mystery and suspense, add a dash of scrumptious food descriptions, and then top off with the hope for love and you have a delicious, mouth-watering read.

Deep Autumn Heat is the first in a series about the four Grayson brothers “former resident bad boys” who return to Star Harbor, a small resort town outside of Boston. The opening scene sets the foundation for this series by describing four brothers who will each be...more

This was more like a 2.5 rounded up to a 3.

I'm not sure where to start because I have two vastly different feels about this book.

As far as the story and basic plot are concerned, I liked it - and I'll even go as far as to say that I liked it a lot. Barrett did a good job creating warmth within the Star Harbour community and I am intrigued by all of her characters, especially the brothers. And the fact that Seb is a chef that interned for a time with Bobby Flay -- I mean, hello. Sold. Lexie held...more

In a brand new series called Star Harbor, Elisabeth Barrett introduces us to the sexy Grayson brothers. Each more hotter than the last, it seems that Elisabeth is planning on giving each brother a book in the series. You know what that means...there are only good things to come.

DEEP AUTUMN HEAT is the first book that features celebrity chef Sebastian Grayson and Lexie Meyers. When the worldly chef comes back to Star Harbor for awhile, Sebastian can’t help but notice Lex...more

I was blown away by how much I liked this book and now I am waiting impatiently for the next book in the series. Oh, wait, this one hasn’t been released yet and I am asking for the next book? Yes, I am!

Deep Autumn Heat starts off the Star Harbor series about the four brothers Grayson. Cole, Val, Seb and Theo round out the cast of brothers who have looks that will melt you into a puddle! And if Seb wasn’t enough in this book…he’s a twin to Theo, who gets his book next. Seb is a big time chef who...more

Sebastian Grayson is a well know New York celebrity chef. He is also a Star Harbor native. His restaurant, television show, and opening of another restaurant keeps him from visiting Star Harbor often, but he always returns once a year to visit his brothers on the anniversary of their father’s death. He is also very cocky, a bit conceded, and overly competent.

Lexie Meyers is fairly new to Star Harbor. She has her own restaurant there and has done a wonderful job of integrating herself into the t...more

Deep Autumn Heat is the first book in the Star Harbor series which revolves around the Grayson brother's and I must say, Sebastian Grayson is simply love. His a star chef that owns his own restaurant Helena in New York City and when he ends up in Lexie's cafe, he steams her world.

The chemistry between the two cracks and pops out of the book. The attraction between them feeds and stems out of the fact that...more

Deep Autumn Heat is Elisabeth Barrett's debut novel and the first book in her Star Harbor series staring the sexy Grayson brothers. If you like a not quite reformed bad boy then you're going to love sexy celebrity chef Sebastian but I have a feeling his brothers are going to be just as hot to handle and I can't wait for more of Val, Cole and Theo. I do love a series that is set around a family of characters that you can get to know and love more and more with every book and this left me very exc...more

The last thing world renowned chef Sebastian Grayson expected coming back to his home town, for the weekend, was to have a run in with the sizzling café owner. He also didn’t expect the effect Lexie Meyers would have on him. He just can’t get the little spit fire out of his head and she also made the most succulent coconut cake he’d ever tasted. But that’s not all he wants to taste.

Lexie Meyers has set up shop in a small rural town, but she’s got a big secret. She came to this town to escape a v...more

Deep Autumn Heat is the first book in the Star Harbor series and it's a definite must read! I can not say enough about this book. It didn't suffer from any of the first in series woes that so many series struggle with.

Sebastian Grayson is on top of the world. His career is at it's peak and shows no sign of slowing down. As a chef of his own restaurant he is used to being in charge and now that he is getting his own show he can share his talents with the world. He, however, isn't prepared to mee...more

My review:

Deep Autumn Heat is the debut for Elisabeth Barrett and what a great debut! Deep Autumn Heat was well-written, hot sweet spicy romance with characters whom you would love to meet in real life! It is the best romance book I have read during this season and I will keep a keen eye on her upcoming books.

Regarding the plot:

Deep autumn Heat is a part of Star Harbor series and each book is presenting you one of the Grayson brothers and in this specific book you hear and read about Sebastian...more

What a great start to the Star Harbour Series.

I love a collection of books that focus on one town, and one family in particular in this series Elizabeth Bennett is giving us the lives and loves of the Grayson Brothers, Theo, Val, Cole & Seb.

In Deep Autumn Heat we meet consumate player, and celebrity Chef Sebastian Grayson, who doesn't love a motorbike riding, tall, dark handsome man that can cook!!! Seb meets Lexie Meyers, fiery owner/chef of the local eatery, and the spark they feel is in...more

ARC given for an honest review.

This is the first book in the Loveswept series by Elisabeth Barrett. It tells the story of Seb, a famous chef who comes back to his hometown of Star Harbour to visit with his 3 other brothers on the anniversary of their mother's death. He ends up meeting the local diner's owner Lexie who's feisty and doesn't take too kindly to his arrogance, which Seb is definitely not used to. Seb sees this as a challenge, not realising that Lexie has a past which will not make he...more

This series is awesome! I love all the characters, the plot that unites them all, not just the fact that they are brothers but also the drugs that Cole and Val are trying to break down, but also the mystery of the stories behind the legend of Siren Lorelei.

First of all I have to say that I read this series completely out of order, as you will find out once you read my reviews. But regardless of that the romance in each is different, fun and hot which thankfully didn’t left me feeling like I was...more

Giving up at 19,5%. Sebastian is so smarmy and skeevy, I can't believe he's supposed to be the hero!

After just 3 interactions between Seb & Lexie, I couldn't figure out why the author thought another creepy stalker was necessary to the plot and just gave up trying to make sense of this book. If the author had put a bit less focus into making him look perfect and a bit more into giving him a non-douchey personality... well, truth be told the idiotic heroine is rather thinly sketched too, so...more

I love a family saga. I fell in love with them when I read a series by Kristen Proby. I was excited when I got this one and jumped in. I understand that it isn't an erotica so there is no descriptive sex and I don't believe there is any cursing. I am sure some people may feel that it took away from the story because lets face it so many people who read books want that and look for that.

I enjoyed it for the most part. I did know the entire time who the notes were from. It was pretty predictable...more

I found this particularly slow to start off but once I got over "this who everyone is" it picked a great pace with great storyline.
Sebastian Grayson (Seb), is chef, New York restaurant extraordinaire, personality, Star Harbor's resident bad boy and giant pain the bun to Lexie Meyer.
Lexie is Star Harbor's resident all round good girl, owner of LMK restaurant and catering company she has been set up there for a few years and has become good friends with most of the towns people. She meets her matc...more

Such a good beginning but a bit disappointing for rest of the book. The Grayson bros. r intriguing but not as much interaction there as expected.
How the bad guy stayed out of sight n that small burg is a mystery 2 me...
all the suspense part was a bit weak.
Her leadership was great but a chef for a diner? And she baked as well as ....?
This author is new 2 me but she CAN write. Looking forward to more n this series.

This was a great début! It had romance, friendship and suspense in a neat story, and I look forward to reading more from this author. Of course, the fact that there was a lot of cooking going on made it even better!

2.5 stars This was almost a skim read for me. I skimmed a lot of location descriptions and mental meanderings, focusing mainly on areas that had action or dialogue. I enjoyed most of it, until Lexie does the stupidest thing ever. It was so cheap and cowardly, I immediately disliked her. And this was like, build up to the climax, we're getting to the end here folks... that is not the time to turn your reader against your main character. I literally finished the book five minutes ago and I can't t...more

I have read all four books of the Star Harbor series and this story, which is Sebastian's and Val's are my favorite. There are 4 brothers and each have their own books. The brothers get together every Labor Day weekend without fail to honor their deceased fathers memory. From this starting point each story develops.
Seb is a World Famous Chef with his own soon to be syndicated tv show. He has. Restaurant in NY and looking to open another in Boston. Sebastian and his brothers go to the LMK Diner...more
