so... this book had serious potential. I mean first- look at that cover. shirtless man on a motorcycle - GIMME!! - The plot of the story itself wasn't even bad either.

Lexie Meyers owns a restaurant in Star Harbor and is starting a catering business but when former bad boy Sebastian returns to town for his annual meet up with his brothers he finds he can't get Lexie out of his head. Sebastian, or Seb as he's called is a rising star in the cooking world - he has a very successful restaurant in NY

Let me start off by saying that I normally wouldn't read a book with a title like this. It's just not usually my cup of tea. But wow, I'm glad Sara suggested it!! I loved it!!

Sebastian Grayson is a celebrity chef. He's come home to Star Harbor for a fishing weekend with his brothers but that all goes out the window when he meets Lexie Meyers. Lexie immediately captures Sebastian's interest simply because she isn't fawning over him like all women do. Maybe this should be a little lesson for us, l

Having read more than my share of romance novels I always enjoy discovering a new to me author. When the author delivers an exceptionally great product, I’m ecstatic! Deep Autumn Heat by Elisabeth Barrett is an emotionally charged, well developed, superb story.

Sebastian Grayson (Seb) is in Star Harbor to reconnect with his brothers as they always do on the anniversary of their father’s death. Seb now resides in New York, in addition to being a well known

This contemporary romance, centered around two chefs and restaurant owners, has all the makings for a charming romance. Lexie owns her restaurant in small town, Star Harbor, a tourist destination and she’s launching her new catering business on the side. Seb, a big time, famous chef based out of New York, grew up with his three brothers in Star Harbor and is back visiting when he walks into Lexie’s café. His interest is evident when she

For the most part, I’ve had good luck with Loveswept releases. First, they have been at a great price point, $2.99 and I’ve enjoyed Jessica Scott’s Because of You and both of Ruthie Knox’s books. I believe Elisabeth Barrett is a debut author, and I’m always on the lookout for a good contemporary. This one has a good set-up for the series as a whole, but I wasn’t quite sold on the book.

Every year, the Grayson brothers return to Star Harbor for a long weekend to remember their father. The brothers

A sleepy little town is the perfect place to escape from it all. Even escaping from an abusive ex. Lexie Meyers has rebuilt a life for herself in Star Harbor. As chef and owner of her own small restaurant Lexi serves up low brow fare and a side of spice.

Sebastian Grayson is a chef on the rise of stardom. High brow restaurants and television shows are his ticket. Seb also has a rep for being one of the hottest catches around.

Take two talented chefs, combine them lots of lust and passion, mix in a bit of mystery and suspense, add a dash of scrumptious food descriptions, and then top off with the hope for love and you have a delicious, mouth-watering read.

Deep Autumn Heat is an excellent romance with an edge of suspense. From the first couple of paragraphs, I knew this was a series I would follow to the end. Elisabeth Barrett does a wonderful job of creating characters and relationships and of building both the romantic tension and plot tension.

Lexi left California three years ago to get away from a crazy, and I do mean crazy, boyfriend and has kept so busy she hasn't had time for anyone in her life. When a local boy turned successful chef comes

This was more like a 2.5 rounded up to a 3.

I'm not sure where to start because I have two vastly different feels about this book.

As far as the story and basic plot are concerned, I liked it - and I'll even go as far as to say that I liked it a lot. Barrett did a good job creating warmth within the Star Harbour community and I am intrigued by all of her characters, especially the brothers. And the fact that Seb is a chef that interned for a time with Bobby Flay -- I mean, hello. Sold. Lexie held

In a brand new series called Star Harbor, Elisabeth Barrett introduces us to the sexy Grayson brothers. Each more hotter than the last, it seems that Elisabeth is planning on giving each brother a book in the series. You know what that means...there are only good things to come.

Sebastian Grayson is a well know New York celebrity chef. He is also a Star Harbor native. His restaurant, television show, and opening of another restaurant keeps him from visiting Star Harbor often, but he always returns once a year to visit his brothers on the anniversary of their father’s death. He is also very cocky, a bit conceded, and overly competent.

Deep Autumn Heat is Elisabeth Barrett's debut novel and the first book in her Star Harbor series staring the sexy Grayson brothers. The last thing world renowned chef Sebastian Grayson expected coming back to his home town, for the weekend, was to have a run in with the sizzling café owner. He also didn’t expect the effect Lexie Meyers would have on him. He just can’t get the little spit fire out of his head and she also made the most succulent coconut cake he’d ever tasted. But that’s not all he wants to taste.

Lexie Meyers has set up shop in a small rural town, but she’s got a big secret. She came to this town to escape a v

Deep Autumn Heat is the first book in the Star Harbor series and it's a definite must read! I can not say enough about this book. It didn't suffer from any of the first in series woes that so many series struggle with.

Sebastian Grayson is on top of the world. His career is at it's peak and shows no sign of slowing down. As a chef of his own restaurant he is used to being in charge and now that he is getting his own show he can share his talents with the world. He, however, isn't prepared to mee

My review:

Deep Autumn Heat is the debut for Elisabeth Barrett and what a great debut! Deep Autumn Heat was well-written, hot sweet spicy romance with characters whom you would love to meet in real life! It is the best romance book I have read during this season and I will keep a keen eye on her upcoming books.

What a great start to the Star Harbour Series.

I love a collection of books that focus on one town, and one family in particular in this series Elizabeth Bennett is giving us the lives and loves of the Grayson Brothers, Theo, Val, Cole & Seb.

This is the first book in the Loveswept series by Elisabeth Barrett. It tells the story of Seb, a famous chef who comes back to his hometown of Star Harbour to visit with his 3 other brothers on the anniversary of their mother's death. He ends up meeting the local diner's owner Lexie who's feisty and doesn't take too kindly to his arrogance, which Seb is definitely not used to. Seb sees this as a challenge, not realising that Lexie has a past which will not make he
This is one of those books I downloaded when my iPad was new and I was all about the cheap reads. That's my excuse. Otherwise, I would hang my head in shame for having wasted hours of my life. Sebastian is the uber sexy, bad boy James Beard chef who is in his hometown to spend time with his brothers. Seb, as he is known, is an asshole. This series is awesome! I love all the characters, the plot that unites them all, not just the fact that they are brothers but also the drugs that Cole and Val are trying to break down, but also the mystery of the stories behind the legend of Siren Lorelei.

First of all I have to say that I read this series completely out of order, as you will find out once you read my reviews. But regardless of that the romance in each is different, fun and hot which thankfully didn’t left me feeling like I was
Giving up at 19,5%. Sebastian is so smarmy and skeevy, I can't believe he's supposed to be the hero!

After just 3 interactions between Seb & Lexie, I couldn't figure out why the author thought another creepy stalker was necessary to the plot and just gave up trying to make sense of this book. If the author had put a bit less focus into making him look perfect and a bit more into giving him a non-douchey personality... well, truth be told the idiotic heroine is rather thinly sketched too, so

Let me start off by saying that this one definitely lives up to its promised potential. Almost.

I have read adult/contemporary romances before, and then I read this one. I loved the settings, the scenes, the Star Harbour backdrop, the chemistry, and the modernity in the character sketches. But, I did not love so much the love-making.

The part I look forward to most in an adult romance book kind of failed me on this one. Maybe this is a biased report, but usually I like to live through these scen

I liked that although he was a renowned chef, he treated Lexie as an equal.

I kind of had a hard time getting into the book. It had a slow start and the first half wasn’t all that exciting—neither in plot nor steam.

Sweet ending. But this book wasn’t really focussed on their relationship. It is, but it isn’t. At least to me, it wasn’t really focussed on any particular aspect. It had a little bit of everything—no

I enjoyed most of it, until Lexie does the stupidest thing ever. It was so cheap and cowardly, I immediately disliked her. And this was like, build up to the climax, we're getting to the end here folks... that is not the time to turn your reader against your main character.
