“Dinosaurs” by Simms Taback’s is an amazing illustrated book on dinosaurs. On each left page of the book is a question “who am I?” and it also reveals part of a dinosaur. On each right page it gives a hint leading to what type of dinosaur for example, “I have a long tail”. The book is a fold out book and on each page as you open it up it reveals a picture of a dinosaur. The book goes through different types of dinosaur such as, diplodocus, stegosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex. This book is great f ...more

Recommends it for: Babies

This is a great book to introduce dinosaurs to babies. Try mimicking dinosaur sounds when the flaps are fully opened before your babies' faces, mine was in awe. We read this for the one hundred and twenty-first time and is still going. Check out our video on our blog

Simms Taback is at it again with an awesome giant fold-out book about dinosaurs. Boys are always attracted to this text in my classroom. This is an ideal mentor text for questioning and inferencing for young students. Such a fun book for primary-ages students!
Really only one word for this book: AWESOME. I've loved this entire series, but this one is the best by far.
Great book to read to a group of younger children. The illustrations are bright and colorful.
