Sadly, this book could have been so much more. The premise is a great one but Wallace loses her way early on. It boils down to our heroine, Melony, a workaholic, deciding to take a much needed vacation. But not your average vacation will do. Her business partner suggests to take a 2 week survival course to shake things up. Nice and sometimes humorous story with interesting characters make for a compelling afternoon read. I enjoyed this book more than I expected. Wallace can turn out quite a romance novel!

Kelly Wallace has written since the day she could hold a crayon in her hand. She soon learned though, after several hours of scrubbing, that white paper was a far better choice than white walls. Sighed at and lectured about her constant daydreaming, she put her imagination to good use as an adult and ultimately became a published author.

Everything Kelly writes about stems from personal experience.
