I was in love with this book. It was a one sitting read. I seriously could not put it down. Mason was so funny,he totally quoted Joey from friends and I loved it!! And Jessie was just a geeky, curvy (not just in the right places either) and was not falling for the new manwhore of the office.... or so she thought.

I don't know what it is about these books that make me giggle like mad -- no, scratch that. I do know what it is. It's the sassy characters and the witty banter. It the way they do battle against the cracked henchmen and the evil mastermind. I just adore this series to pieces. TO PIECES!

Book Two: Swan and the Bear
Manwhore of the office Mason has finally fallen hard for a woman, and she just shoots him down and laughs in his face every day. So being a super secret agent isn't all that impressive when the woman you are trying to impress is the computer genius Jessie that keeps the agency functioning. Hiding secrets, well, how about not knowing that she's a princess, much to her dismay. One tiny problem...someone tries to abduct them from the agency, and then really abducts them from Mason's place. Oh, and there is that problem of trying to get Jessie to love him back.

Book Three: Croc and the Fox
Finally!!! The secret liar of the maniac that keep attacking them is found. When Viktor and the other Furry United Coalition members get to the level where the experiment are held, they find people/animals that have been horribly disfigured and mutated from experiments. Even more shocking is the normal looking woman that doesn't seem to remember who she is and has been there so long that just the sight of the open sky terrifies her. Viktor is the biggest strongest warrior she sees and he makes her feel safe, so she is sticking to him...literally. NO matter how much Viktor tries to do the right thing, Renee has to teach Viktor that sometimes a woman has to follow what her heart. And just because she's been a prisoner most of her life doesn't mean that she doesn't know anything, but you have to ask the right questions to get the right answers. By the way...what exactly did they do to her in that lab?

Four out of Five stars for the series.
Adult content Fast paced action comedy paranormal romance
I laughed out loud the first time I read each of these books and I still laugh out loud whenever I re-read them.

I love Eve Langlais. I love her humor and her storytelling. As well as the fact that even when her stories don't quite work for me, they are still entertaining and worth reading. (Note of full disclosure: I'm not her and we are not related.)

I love the Furry United Coalition. What's not to like when you get croc and giraffe weres? As well as an evil genius that I'm sure is as just cute and cuddly on the outside as they are insane on the inside.

Ahhhh, Eve Langlais never fails to amuse me with her humorous, lighthearted, and sexy paranormal offerings. Seriously, my cheeks hurt whenever I finish one of her books because I pretty much devour them in one sitting with a smile plastered to my face the whole time!

This was a slight let down from the first book, though I wasn't sure if it was because it lacked the same edge that Miranda and Chase had. Ultimately 60% of the book was Jesse saying that Mason was just a playboy and he wasn't good enough for her. It got old real quick, but after I got over this initial annoying complication it was a great sequel.

I really liked this book. This is my first novel by Eve Langlais. I would describe it as funny and lighthearted with very hot scenes.

The GOOD:

I really liked both characters. I loved that h identified as black. You don't see that often in PNR/UF though it is becoming more prevalent. She is also a curvier girl so I'm totally putting myself in her place of course :). Mason sounded hot. Like really hot. It's nice to escape the dark PNR/UF worlds every once in a while. Very little time is spent on the villain of this book and the time spent more so adds to the comic relief than anything else. The story very much focuses on the main couple and loosely the couple from the first book.

The BAD:
I like Eve's writing though some of her words pulled me out of the story until I got used to seeing them. Like the word cleft used to describe Jessie's cha-cha. After a while I just shrugged and kept reading. Overall the book is written despite words like that.

The UGLY:
This comment isn't really ugly. But I would have liked to see the book be a little longer and have gotten to know the h a little more. The reader understands that she only has one living parent but the story never mentions what happened to Jessie's mom, how that affected her growing up, etc. etc. I liked her fine the way she was presented however if I had been given more depth behind her character as well as Mason's I think that would have made it a five star read for me.

I'm VERY much interested in continuing this series and am about to one click the other two books. BTW, I read this book without having read the previous one and didn't feel lost at all. Like I said, the story has little tidbits of plot with an evil mastermind but it more so focuses on the blossoming relationship between the couple.

I recommend to people who are looking for a good laugh and a fairly short, lighthearted read.(less)

I failed to mention last time that the "Mastermind" tells bits and pieces of the story in this series. While it's a little far out that a school grudge is the reason for his warped ways, it is a lesson in hell hath no furry like a psycho bullied.

What's even more disturbing is that I felt like I was reading the same characters again. The swan, Jessie, was the grumpy bear. (Pun intended.) Mason is the happy to mate like a bunny lead. So basically I'm reading the same characters from the last book, but the genders are switched. Sure Jessie is holding off because she just knows her play bear is going to drop her once he's tasted the honey. There wasn't enough background or character depth for me to believe that Jessie was so damaged about relationships that she would be that stupid. (Sure her father is overbearing on a mind blowing scale and abuses the trust of family, but it's just not enough.) Mason proves himself over and over, there's no proof that he's just a cheating evil man. Only that he's a big play bear and likes to sleep with the ladies.

In the end it probably was not wise to read Furry United Coalition back to back. I wanted to enjoy the character cameos while I could remember them. Maybe I wouldn't notice just how much this borrowed from the book before with space in between. Again no emotional connection, which rendered the sex scenes flavorless. Then the half attempted plot. What can I say, I'm picky. Erotica should have substance. Yeah, I know. That's just the way I am.

I loved learning more about Chase's little brother Mason and about Jessie. I really liked Mason but I loved how Jessie kept him on his toes with all the put-downs at the start. He was very persistant though and won her over in the end! Her father was on my blacklist though. The bear slut Mason finds his undercover blown and gets assigned to desk duty, he´s not complaining because now he gets the chance to spend more time with the tech geek Jessie. She´s a black swan, and a princess, with a dad threatening her with an arranged marriage, she just doesn´t think there´s time for a romp in the hay with the bear.

Jessie is the computer geek at FUC headquarters. It’s an odd situation for her because she is a swan princess, promised to another and wanting absolutely nothing to do with any of the crap that goes along with being the daughter of a king. That’s one of the reasons why she works at FUC headquarters. She enjoys her work very much, that is until one very pushy, sexy, persistent, super sexy (oops, I said that already) bear shifter named Mason shows up and turns her entire world (and heart) inside out. She usually has an easy time of getting rid of the male pests that advance on her. But this big bear is not having any of it!

Mason is a well know play bear and a FUC agent. Recently transferred to a new division and is just going with the flow or at least he’s trying to. He is immediately taken by a sweet behind and an even sweeter scent, he finds himself no longer looking at any other females. Just the one FUC geek that makes his mouth water and his pants get tight. But there are a few things that stand in his way. One of them is the constant rejection he gets from his beautiful swan Jessie.

I love what I felt the book held behind all of the humor and fun. No prejudice, a desire for peace and the sharing of love. All beings should be treated equally and given a chance at love and life. Both Mason and Jessie grew in character and became even more lovable then they were from the start. It's so much fun to watch true opposites attract! I look forward to the next in the series. Bring on the FUC agents ;)

Funny, light-hearted, short on plot but long on cuteness — just what I expect from Eve Langlais. I adore this series. They're super easy to read and keep me smiling. Mason was a gruff and huggable, and Jessie was geeky and strong. Perfect. And one of the absolute best things about Eve Langlais' books? Her covers depict EXACTLY what she describes her characters as looking like in the book. A rarity these days in publishing, and one that comes greatly appreciated.

After Miranda and Chase broke up one of the horrible labs of an unknown evil entity, Chase's brother Mason is stuck working in an office. At the FUC offices he meets that computer tech swan Jessie. Sparks fly, lots of resistance on her part etc etc. Fun book, good follow up, glad to see characters again.

Another fun Langlais novel, this one featuring Mason, the playbear younger brother from the first book. He's an undercover agent who's blown his cover on the last FUC mission, so he's assigned to headquarters and meets Jessie, a swan princess with a racist daddy swan king and an aversion to men. Langlais employs her typical humor, fun antics, and see-saw, school yard dialogue (did not...did too...did not...make me...) that's a lot of fun to read.

I completely fell in love with Bunny and the Bear, but Swan and the Bear was just okay. I don't know what it was, but I just didn't really care about the characters. I'm glad I read it though, and the ending is a nice glimpse of the next book.

This was a hoot. Mason is a happy playbear, and Jessie is a swan princess who wants nothing to do with him. Well, she does want him, but refuses to be just another notch in his bedpost. While she's turning him down, he's just getting more and more intrigued.

Plus the mastermind from book 1 resurfaces, and we get to catch up with Miranda and Chase.
