Screw honey, this bear craves chocolate.

Mason, a true ladies man and a big teddy of a bear, is on a mission to protect the shifter community. Who is he to complain if that task requires him to guard FUC’s tech wizard—a curvy mocha hottie who knows how to bring him to his knees.

Jessie has no patience for a bear who flirts every time he breathes. Despite his appeal, and smo...more

I was in love with this book. It was a one sitting read. I seriously could not put it down. Mason was so funny,he totally quoted Joey from friends and I loved it!! And Jessie was just a geeky, curvy (not just in the right places either) and was not falling for the new manwhore of the office.... or so she thought.

I love a story where there is obvious sexual tension but it is not acted on right away, it just builds that awesome suspense. Mason wanted Jessie right away and while Jessie might seem a...more

I don't know what it is about these books that make me giggle like mad -- no, scratch that. I do know what it is. It's the sassy characters and the witty banter. It the way they do battle against the cracked henchmen and the evil mastermind. I just adore this series to pieces. TO PIECES!

Mason is a hoot. He loves the ladies and he's not afraid to let them know it. Jessie is his opposite. She thinks sex is overrated and she's not impressed with his thinly veiled innuendo. Except, she really is. Th...more

Book One: Bunny and the Bear

So if you want to protect a large mean and annoying grizzly bear, a Lawyer at that, from an unknown threat...the best choice is to obviously do it without his knowledge because he would just want to control and mess everything up. Fortunately, every one know that all you need to get a grizzly bear to follow your lead is a his honey pot, or in this case, Miranda. Chase's new neighbor Miranda is sexy and he can't think about anything but her and what he want to do with...more

I love Eve Langlais. I love her humor and her storytelling. As well as the fact that even when her stories don't quite work for me, they are still entertaining and worth reading. (Note of full disclosure: I'm not her and we are not related.)

I love the Furry United Coalition. What's not to like when you get croc and giraffe weres? As well as an evil genius that I'm sure is as just cute and cuddly on the outside as they are insane on the inside.

I enjoyed the Swan and the Bear but I can't say that...more

Ahhhh, Eve Langlais never fails to amuse me with her humorous, lighthearted, and sexy paranormal offerings. Seriously, my cheeks hurt whenever I finish one of her books because I pretty much devour them in one sitting with a smile plastered to my face the whole time!

'Swan and the Bear' is the second installment of Langlais' 'Furry United Coalition' (endearingly shortened to FUC) series and was just as hilarious as the first book. Shifters of pretty much all animal species abound in this world an...more

This was a slight let down from the first book, though I wasn't sure if it was because it lacked the same edge that Miranda and Chase had. Ultimately 60% of the book was Jesse saying that Mason was just a playboy and he wasn't good enough for her. It got old real quick, but after I got over this initial annoying complication it was a great sequel.

Mason is a brilliant character and very refreshing after Chase's grumpiness, though his about face was a little sudden and without question - which I f...more

Since Miranda and Ethan defeated the mastermind behind the abductions and experimentation he's hellbent on revenge. But getting to the crazy bunny and her grumpy bear has proved near impossible. So he sets his sights on the next best thing....Ethan's brother Mason.

As an undercover agent, Mason's mission is to protect the shifter community and by extension the lovely chocolate swan Jessie. She's the tech wiz of the FUC and is in danger since the evil mastermind is suddenly after her. But Jessie d...more

I really liked this book. This is my first novel by Eve Langlais. I would describe it as funny and lighthearted with very hot scenes.

The GOOD:

I really liked both characters. I loved that h identified as black. You don't see that often in PNR/UF though it is becoming more prevalent. She is also a curvier girl so I'm totally putting myself in her place of course :). Mason sounded hot. Like really hot. I liked the banter and interactions that occurred between the two of them and I liked that this b...more

I failed to mention last time that the "Mastermind" tells bits and pieces of the story in this series. While it's a little far out that a school grudge is the reason for his warped ways, it is a lesson in hell hath no furry like a psycho bullied.

Now I said that the first book in the series was wacky fun. But wacky fun becomes just plain old news after the material has already been used. No really. The Swan and the Bear borrows heavily from it's predecessor. It even uses the same Monty Python jo...more

I loved learning more about Chase's little brother Mason and about Jessie. I really liked Mason but I loved how Jessie kept him on his toes with all the put-downs at the start. He was very persistant though and won her over in the end! Her father was on my blacklist though. I actually cheered her reluctant fiance when he finally gave her her freedom after hearing an argument between her and her father. To be fair though it was an arranged engagement that neither of them wanted, so I hope Eric fi...more

The bear slut Mason finds his undercover blown and gets assigned to desk duty, he´s not complaining because now he gets the chance to spend more time with the tech geek Jessie. She´s a black swan, and a princess, with a dad threatening her with an arranged marriage, she just doesn´t think there´s time for a romp in the hay with the bear.
At the same time the old threat is back, for both the bear brothers and their friends and family.
A fun, quick read, heroes and heroines with potty mouths and s...more

This was pretty good... the most completed work of Eve Langlais's works, in my POV. It didn't leave me wishing for more details, like the other books I'd read from the author thus far. I also felt that despite the shortage of pages of what I usually prefer to read, the book was thorough and nicely detailed. The action, there wasn't much and the mystery of the shifter killer dude or dudette wasn't as prominent and for that, I enjoyed it more. This book was mostly focused on Mason and his...more

Once again Eve continues with her great humor and story telling skills in Swan and the Bear. Excitement, fun, surprises, action (both in and out of the bedroom) and a hottie male bear shifter are some of the delights I experienced. It was great to see characters from the last book of the FUC series and to see the FUC agency still holding strong. This is the second book in the FUC series and definitely can be read as a stand alone. But I strongly recommend reading the first in the series so you d...more

**Warning** : Giggling is a strong possibility as are snickers, snorts and full out, belly laughs. This humorous, erotic romance also contains scenes of extreme hotness ...

Love Eve's Warnings before her books :) She's SO cute!

Cute story - I loved the idea of Swan Shifters - I've read stories that mentioned the bird shifters - but this is my first time reading about one.

Jessie Cygnclair, FUC agent and head of technical department - also known as The Swan Princess - yes that's right, she's a pri...more

Funny, light-hearted, short on plot but long on cuteness — just what I expect from Eve Langlais. I adore this series. They're super easy to read and keep me smiling. Mason was a gruff and huggable, and Jessie was geeky and strong. Perfect. And one of the absolute best things about Eve Langlais' books? Her covers depict EXACTLY what she describes her characters as looking like in the book. A rarity these days in publishing, and one that comes greatly appreciated.

After Miranda and Chase broke up one of the horrible labs of an unknown evil entity, Chase's brother Mason is stuck working in an office. At the FUC offices he meets that computer tech swan Jessie. Sparks fly, lots of resistance on her part etc etc. Fun book, good follow up, glad to see characters again.

Another fun Langlais novel, this one featuring Mason, the playbear younger brother from the first book. He's an undercover agent who's blown his cover on the last FUC mission, so he's assigned to headquarters and meets Jessie, a swan princess with a racist daddy swan king and an aversion to men. Langlais employs her typical humor, fun antics, and see-saw, school yard dialogue (did not...did too...did not...make me...) that's a lot of fun to read.

I completely fell in love with Bunny and the Bear, but Swan and the Bear was just okay. I don't know what it was, but I just didn't really care about the characters. I'm glad I read it though, and the ending is a nice glimpse of the next book.
gremlin
This was a hoot. Mason is a happy playbear, and Jessie is a swan princess who wants nothing to do with him. Well, she does want him, but refuses to be just another notch in his bedpost. While she's turning him down, he's just getting more and more intrigued.

Plus the mastermind from book 1 resurfaces, and we get to catch up with Miranda and Chase.

YAY! I love Mason! I also love Jessie, even though she was so skittish with Mason for so long. I mean, GEEZ! Give the guy a chance, why don't you??!?!

Overall, hilarious and hot. I'm excited to read the next one.
Michelle
I am really enjoying this series, it was a little shorter than the first and not quite as funny but still a thoroughly enjoyable read.

I love the level of humour in these, I often catch myself laughing out loud :)

I liked this book, Mason was great loved that Jessie didnt go right for him, the sex scens were good. Still liked the first one a little bit better though.
Sarah
Very funny I want to read even more now. The end is a nice introduction to the next story and I'm glad there's a hint of who is getting bit by the love bug next.
Serena
This was just as much fun as the first FUC book. I really hope she keeps writing this series. I think I have to look at her other books now.

I was expecting a little more with this one... I felt like Eva held back a little bit. But she's still my favorite author!
Lea Barrymire
I love the characters in this series. A saber-tooth bunny, bear brothers, a black swan princess, an evil genius that's a little squirrelly... The story is wonderfully silly and entertaining.

so i suggest her Warnings first lol.

I quite liked this. I did notice an overuse of the word playbear though. I hope Viktor gets own story.
Kelsey
Just like all of the Eve Langlais books I've read so far Swan and the Bear is funny, flirty, and a little bit weird. I loved it. It was a light read which made me happy.
