If you give a mouse a cookie, it'd better be pumpkin flavored when Halloween comes around! Mouse is such an adorable guy. I enjoyed watching him decorate pumpkins and mimic their emotions. He's a bit of a messy artist too, as you can see with how the setup changes with each pumpkin. This is an adorable book that young children will enjoy. Heck, my friend and I both enjoyed reading it, and we're college students! (Whacky, fun-loving, silly college students, I concede.)

This is a cute little book that is easy for little hands to hold and look through. The illustrations are colorful and show the many different faces on the pumpkins that Mouse and his friends decorate. From sad to silly and surprised, Mouse has a good time painting his pumpkins, but then notices one is missing. Dog has decorated it himself and it scares Mouse...

My four year old was very excited to read It's Pumpkin Day, Mouse! Both of my kids have been big fans of the If You Give a Mouse Series. This book was very cute. I'll admit, we were slightly disappointed because the story does not follow the same pattern as the other books in the series. That repetition and anticipation has always been so fun. My daughter did like the story, though, and thinks it's very fun.
The mouse from If You Give a Mouse a Cookie paints faces on pumpkins.
A seasonally inspired board book with the mouse from "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie". Toddlers will enjoy this one a lot.
Fans of If You Give A Mouse a Cookie will really enjoy this Halloween themed book. Toddlers will love reading about Mouse and seeing how he decorates his seven pumpkins. They'll also see a surprise visitor from one of Mouse's friends who drops in to see him. This one I'd definitely recommend picking up for little readers. Being a board book makes it great for little hands.
Mouse from If You Give a Mouse a Cookie returns with a fall-themed board book. Mouse has seven pumpkins to decorate for Halloween. He paints a happy face, a sad face, then silly and surprised. But when he discovers that one pumpkin is missing, he finds his own Halloween scare. Perfect for older toddlers, they will enjoy Mouse, the pumpkins, and the surprise. But if you give a toddler this book, they will ask to carve pumpkins.
Numeroff 's "If You Give a..." books are very popular and we love a good board book. This one is special including opportunities for counting and learning facial expressions and emotions. This is a cute one to last the fall season (and has no mention of halloween or thanksgiving).
