This was a pretty entertaining book for the most part. I liked that Naihm was independent and a strong female lead character. I liked and enjoyed the chemistry between Sam and Naihm as well. I did find myself getting a little annoyed at Naihm at times because she was wound just a little tight for my liking. She got mad at silly things but overall I liked her. Sam was the perfect doting boyfriend... I might have liked to see a bit more spark/fight in him. I thought he could use a stiffer backbone...more

And she does it again! Cindy Bennett entertained me with Geek Girl, broke my heart in Heart on a Chain, and now, with Immortal Mine, has proven again what a marvelous and talented author she is. For fans of the Twilight series: here’s a novel that will give you that exciting fix you got from Stephenie Meyer. I’m hoping for sequels since the characters were unbelievably real. The writing is of the highest self-published quality out there and Bennett opens with settings, actions, dialogue, and cha...more

Ok, if I like a book I’ll rave about it a bit and tell you all the things I liked blah blah blah. However, if I love a book I will gush. Well watch out folks because I’m about to get my gush on! This book was stupendous! I have to say Cindy C. Bennett is one of my 3 favorite indie authors. When I get word that she’s written something new I get giddy. Her books Geek Girl and Heart on a Chain are two books I recommend on a regular basis.

Cindy C. Bennet...

Well I do not know if it was just me or not but I found that beginning of Immortal Mine to be just a little bit slow for my liking but when I hit the half way mark I could not stop turning the pages. I was so excited when I received Immortal Mine for review that I started reading right away. I was not disappointed.

I really enjoyed Niahm from the start. I enjoyed the way that her character was written out. I really enjoyed all of the characters. Cindy Bennett has taken us to places that I have n...more

I've really liked the other two Cindy Bennett books I've read, so this one seemed like a no brainer. Not to mention the story takes place in GOSHEN, UT of all places! That really solidified it for me.

From the beginning, though, it was apparent that this not like her other books. Obviously the paranormal element was something new, but what really differentiated it was the serious lack of polish. The uber-predictability and schmaltzy cliche romance, along with sporadic pacing, conveniently patche...more

I love the way Bennett wrote the story, it always well written and I can connect to the story. This book also well written but unfortunately I'm not quite satisfied with the story.

Immortal mine is a mixture between twilight saga and significance series. I like the main character, Niahm, she's nothing like Bella. I love her independence and her stubbornness and other characters are lovable. But its the story that I'm having problem. I don't like the way the characters didn't know what cause them...more

Mysteriously sweet.

What i liked about this novel:

✔Most of the scenes were sweet.
✔Thank you for not adding vampires into the equation.
✔It gets better near the end.
✔I actually feel for Niahm especially about her parents.
✔I like Sam. He's patient with Niahm.

What i didn't like:

✔I felt a little trickle of twilight here. I just cannot pinpoint where exactly.
✔Niahm was ridiculously lame at the beginning.
✔The scene wherein Sam revealed himself.. uhm, hello? Even Sam found it to be stupid after all that...more

For anyone wondering where the excellent standalone story has gone in the sea of never-ending, cliffhanger-ending-filled, taking-too-long-too-finish YA series, look no further. Cindy Bennett has provided clean, enjoyable, beyond the genre wonderfulness in each of her three standalone books. This one is no exception. (I could definitely see a sequel, but the story wraps up with this book.) This is her first paranormal book and that aspect was handled nicely. Believable characters with depth enhan...more

The first novel in Cindy C. Bennett’s new paranormal romance series, Immortal Mine, was wonderful. It’s a clean and entertaining love story with an exciting paranormal twist. It’s perfect for young adults of any age! I was pleasantly surprised by Niahm’s small town life. First off, the little town of Goshen was a lot more interesting than I would have suspected, especially after Sam and Shane’s arrival. Second, Ni...more

Niahm is a self-sufficient 17-year-old who has been taking care of herself and her farm while her parents travel the world. She loves her hometown of Goshen and pretty much has her life planned out. People moving into this small town is unheard of. But when it is found out that these two guys are hot and single- one a teenager and one an adult, the whole town goes out to meet them. Niahm and Sam get off on the wrong food. It's all pretty silly but man do they seem to hate each other. They are so...more

i liked this story, I laughed and cried while reading it.
The story takes place in a small town of Goshen, UT.(I am a shamed that I had to look up where Goshen is especially since its only a around an hour or so from where I live in another small town.)
Niahm Parker is 17 and lives on the family farm. Her parents travel the world and write travel books. She has stayed on the farm while they have traveled since she was 13. She has chickens,...more

Sometimes you have to sort through a lot of coal to find your diamond. I've read a lot of terrible books lately and honestly didn't have the highest of hopes for this - but I was pleasantly surprised here. There was everything I want in a story, the romance, a little action, a strong independent girl, a gorgeous boy, a little mystical power here and there. It was well written, well presented, and I definitely recommend to all YA paranormal romance fans out there.

Ah I really liked this book! I really love Mrs. Bennett's books; they're so awesome and I'm really looking forward to the next one.
I loved the quick reference to Geek Girl, in the beginning of the book when Neeve (I can't spell her name) and Sam were at the Italian restaurant, it said something there about a goth girl and a nerdy guy. Hah. I loved that!
Really, I can't wait for the author's next book!!! :D

I enjoyed reading this book with all its hot immortals. I loved the strory and the way Niahm (pronounced Neeve) was so independent but sad that her parents were never around. my only problem was my frustration with her name I could not wrap my head around it to say Neeve in my head. Very frustration other than that a great book with lots of love and friendship and excitement. must read..

OMG. I loved this book. I hope this book is being made into a series cause I can't get enough. I love Sam and Niahm sooooooo much. I love the nod to Geek girl for your readers. I can't say enough good things about the book so I will just leave it at: BUY THIS BOOK.

Wow, I hate to give this 2.5 stars because I love Cindy Bennett's writing, but this was a bit disastrous. I LOVE Geek Girl, as in I love it to the point where I re-read it every year when I'm looking for a little light-hearted, funny, swoony story that I can read in a few hours and finish with a huge smile on my face.

I was expecting that from this book, too, but the love interest was a little too high on the creepy-meter for my taste. In Twilight, I was able to pretend Edward Cullen was 17 and n...more

The only thing about this book I loved more than the can't-put-it-down factor and wit woven throughout the text is the cover. I bet that girl is hot.

I love Cindy C. Bennett books. Heart on a Chain and Geek Girl are one of my favorites books.
The problem with this one in particular was that I found Niahm very annoying at the beginning of the book. Her reactions too exaggerated. I felt also that some of the events of the story were rushed and that the end needed more development.
I found the last pages of the book where Sam and Niahm intrinsic connection was supposed to be explained lacking of a.)a name for it and b.) good arguments to make that...more

Meh. It was a bit entertaining to read when I was feeling bored. I must say: a sad attempt to a Twilight-like story.

I honestly expected more from the author of Geek Girl.

Not a bad read....easy, keeps you interested though at times felt a wee bit Twilighty. Worth a read though.

A twist in the immortal way... The book was a mixture of twilight and the immortal series... I loved the new way they became an immortal.
The story is cute and it's a "can't put away book".

LOVE LOVE MAHLOVE!!!!! Can't wait for the second! :D I stayed up till 3am reading this! Niahm is a little anoying, always jumping off the handle at the littlest things, but I just adore Sam and Naihm eventually pulls her head out of her ass so all's well! But yeah like I said, can't wait for the next one!!
