Funny, charming and a totally fun read. Up all night finishing it. Feel in love with Willow, the pups, the detective and even Felicity.
A real page-turner to be sure.

The Chandler rep Felicity is awful, and Russ, the oldest of her 8 children appeared to be very angry. Russ takes the very heavy machine home for his mother and Felicity goes to give a lesson. This novel entertained me from page one until page 320 and left me wanting more. That being said, yes, I do highly recommend this book.

Is it possible to exceed the expectations left from the first book in a new series when so often the next one is just a wee bit less...well everything? The answer is a resounding 'Yes.' "Threaded For Trouble" not only lived up to it's prior novel, it lived up to it's Title! And, has me seriously re-thinking about buying a sewing machine. At least I will make sure...more

Janet Bolin is getting better with each book. Threaded for Trouble is the second book in her new series and it hits new heights of intrigue, murder and craziness. With the help of her friends and the Three Moms, she manages to accrue a high score in finding clues and putting this puzzle to rest.

I truly believe that in a short time this series and its author will be on the pages of the NY Times Book Review.

FTC Full Disclosure: I received my copy of this book as a gift from a friend.

A woman wins an advanced sewing machine and shortly afterwards is found dead. Was it a tragic accident or something more sinister? The owner of the local sewing / embroidery shop investigates.

The storyline is very far-fetched and the pace of the book is very slow but the book is still reasonably entertaining.

This book will probably appeal to those who enjoy slow / cosy murder mysteries.

Darlene wins the Chandler Champion sewing and embroidery machine in the contest, and the ceremony is held in Willow's shop. When Darlene dies in a sewing-machine accident, Willow helps the local police by inspecting the expensive, top-of-the-line machine. She and her friends suspect Darlene's husband, head of the local volunteer fire department, so she and Haylee sign up for the department.

This was a good read that flowed so evenly as this became a late night read-athon that I could not put down. The mystery kept me guessing as the author did a great job of teasing me down one path and then bam. I enjoyed my time with Willow, Hayley and the three mothers. The ending left great possibilities and I can't wait for the next book in this delightful series.

I do like this series. It's well written and the characters are interesting, although some are over the top. I'm not terribly familiar with sewing machines and machine embroidery, but I appreciate all the crafting content nonetheless.

It was a great book. I wish there had been a bit more "homey" stuff and times with the mothers. The ending was a surprise which is always good. Here's hoping the romance with Clay heats up :)

As cozies go, Janet Bolin's Threadville mysteries are delightful. Engaging characters, dogs!, crafty pursuits and villains - overall fun in a setting we'd all love to visit on a regular basis if not call home. People do die there you know!

Threaded for Trouble is an excellent curl-up-and-read for any season; the beach, front porch or fireside. Happily awaiting the next adventure.

While I enjoyed the first book in the series, this one grabbed my interest from the outset. I found the characters to be more finely drawn with s light touch of humid.

Good mystery line until ....... the rather convoluted ending. I'll still read every book Bolin writes!!

Another cozy mystery in Threadville. Cute characters, except the villian!

I had not read the first in the Threadville Mystery series "Dire Threads" however after reading Threaded for Trouble, however it was not a requirement for reading Threaded. The characters are lively and entertaining ("the Mothers" had me laughing out loud with their antics). The story flowed well and was easy to keep up with- I was hooked and read this through in one sitting. I am certainly looking forward to the next book in the series! Highly recommended for anyone that loves cozy mysteries. I...more
