Fans of erotic quickies featuring physically scarred heroes
Would've loved this one about Blake (a scarred, older, former miltary-man-turned-writer) and Erin (a college student working as his housekeeper) to be a book length romance, instead of just a short story. Right now I'm imagining all the details the author could've supplied to flesh this one out... It was sweet, and it was hot, and I didn't want it to end. There's something about a hero who is feeling unsure of his worth...love that bit of vulnerability.

Very sweet short story with a great spin on an old classic. The beast in this story is sweet and endearing. He's a man that was wounded and scarred fighting for his country.

I'm not a big fan of short stories in general. I'm a full on novel kind of girl but this was good. Of course I loved the beauty and the beast theme who doesn't? I would have probably enjoyed it more if it was a full story but still I liked it. Really sweet sexy story about two people who secretly love each other but are scared to tell each other.

This is short - even for a novella - but it's definitely a sweet (and hot!) little read. Things heat up pretty quickly, but Warren does a great job of injecting emotions beyond just the bedroom romps. If you've got 15 min of spare time and are in the mood for an amuse-bouche of something naughty but cute then I would recommend.

For a short read this was a hot steamy read! I really enjoyed it and the writing flowed nicely which made it and easy, enjoyable read.

This was just okay, it did have potentual to be a great short story but things needed to be developed better, there should have been a little bit more of an inside look as to who these two were, how they became the way they were (namely, Blake, how'd he get scared in war? This is a short, erotic, love story and I really liked it. I loved the whole plot of a battle-scarred soldier who falls in love with a beautiful woman who he thinks he is not worthy of. It is so Beauty and Beast and I loved Beauty and Beast.
Erin walks in on Blake touching himself. Those scenes were pretty steamy. It broke my heart those scenes when Blake and Erin were intimate and Blake thought that he was too disgusting to look at. I loved how Erin tried to reassure him.

I love reading short stories because I hardly have time to read these days! I was glad to pick up this free story yesterday and put it in my beautiful kobo. ;) It was a very quick read, only around 5k words, but I felt the characters were fleshed out nicely for such a short story. It wasn't just mindless sex which I appreciated quite a lot.

After reviewing the reviews, I suspect that my opinion won't be appreciated....this story (so short that if you blink you will miss it) was utter rubbish. Where was the character development? Where was the background story? Where was the editor? The grammatical errors were dreadful. Even my 5 year old knows to start a sentence with a capital for heavens sake. And there were consistency issues as well. One minute she is beneath him then the author has her reaching down to him.

4 1/2 stars, When I was reading reviews on this story I came across a lot of the same comments about wanting this book to be longer and I couldn't agree more this was a great novella with the potential to be a fantastic book. This one plunged right in with very little set up or fanfare because it was a short story. While it lacked much substance, it made up for it in steam. I thought this was sweet for an erotica. The basic storyline is a scarred war hero who falls in love for a beautiful young student. He hires her to clean his home as a pretense to have her near. This short story was all about a badly scarred veteran who had a strong craving to shag his college-aged hired help. I'm rarely left satisfied with a short story. It's either due to a lack of depth and emotion in the short space of pages or I am unsatisfied in a more acceptable way - when I'm left craving more. The later was the case with 'Beauty Touched the Beast'.
It was well written and had a great blend of heart tingling warmth as well as panty scorching heat.
And boy did I want more.

I really enjoyed Trust In Me by Skye Warren but this short tale didn't really work for me. The writing was good but I felt like I was just dropped in the middle of the story and had to find my way through it. The sex scenes were very hot and again, the writing was quite good. I just wasn't sure what I was reading until I was halfway through the story and even then I had some unanswered questions regarding the relationship between the hero and the heroine.

I love this short story. I don't like shorties in particular, but this one was adorable well-written erotica. I wish it would be longer, with background story about Blake, how he was scarred, about Erin, why she had to be a house-cleaner, and how their relationship would develop...
