Tom Crayder is back in C.S. Splitter's second installment of the Crayder Chronicles.
This time, it's not Tom in trouble, it's his wife.
Jenny stumbles across a money laundering scheme without even realizing it.
But the people involved have and now, they need to get rid of the evidence, including her.....

Just when you think C.S. Splitter's writing can't get any better, it does!
What I loved about The Willing was Splitter's ability to "talk" you into giving some of the characters a second chance and r
Title: The Willing (The Crayder Chronicles #2)
Author: C.S. Splitter
Publisher: Published November 2011 by C.S. Splitter
Genre: Thriller/Suspense
Format: Ebook

Tom Crayder is just like any regular guy that you know. He likes fast food, dirty jokes and airplanes. He also struggles to make ends meet and loves his wife, Jenny.

It was the love for his wife, his empty wallet and getting tired of seeing justice get lost in the system that lead him to get involved with a secret, and not alway

My Rating:

The guy we all hate to love is back, and he’s taking us along on one heck of a ride. In this installment of the Crayder Chronicles, Tom and Lorena are teaming up to help get Tom’s wife, Jenny, out of a heap of trouble. When Jenny uncovers a money-laundering scheme, not one but THREE major bad dudes are out to silence her. Tom has to find each of the criminals and neutralize
“Four Stars: This series gets better and better!

The Willing, picks up shortly after the conclusion of book one, The Reluctant. Our middle aged, slightly paunchy (though he did lose ten pounds) hero, Tom Crayder, has transformed from the reluctant crime fighter to the willing hunter of baddies. He, for the most part, remains in the dark and on a need to know only basis, as far as his new employers are concerned. Tom was unwillingly seduced (well more like thinking with his other head got him int

Title: The Willing (Crayder Chronicles #2)
Author: C.S. Splitter
Genre: Action/Suspense/Thriller

The Willing is the second novel in the Crayder Chronicles; C.S. Splitter sense of humor and writing style is fabulous the humor is so funny it truly made me laugh out loud. This story is fast paced, full of action and has the right amount of suspense to make this novel a great read, I definitely will continue to follow this series. C.S. Splitter has written a story of a man who loves airplanes, guns, ta

I have to confess that I have read the second book in the series without reading the first one. This actually does not hamper my reading too much, but I do have to imagine parts of the backstory which I would have known from the first book. So, I do not really know the kind of relationship which Tom and Lorena have, or the organisation he has gotten involved with. It is actually nice to explore and find out these things for myself. This also means that I migh

C.S. Splitter has a wicked sense of humor that is so up my alley. He is one of the few authors I am more than willing to step outside of my genre for. His Crayder series is quickly becoming one of my favorites. He writes so deliciously that when I'm finished I can't wait for my next helping. Tom Crayder is one of those characters you can't help but root for. He has a mortgage, a marriage that needs some work, and an unusual clintele for his flight business. I loved The Rluc
The Willing was a much faster paced action orientated book than The Reluctant, whether or not that is a good thing is up to the reader.
I personally loved it and the pages kept turning.

The main thing that drew me into The Willing (much like The Reluctant) is the dialog.
Conversations are believable and felt real. It might be that I see some of my humor in the main character, Tom Crayder, because it always feels like a bit of humor is interjected at just the right moment. Doesn't matter if the situ
Wow, I'm happy to tell you another great story told by C. S. Splitter. "The Willing" is the second book of the Crayder Chronicles. When Tom finds out that his accountant wife Jenny has uncovered a client who is laundering money and her life is threaten, the adventure begins. A fast paced book full of action and humor, great characters and a book that makes you feel like pulling out your AK-47 and join the fight. If you liked Lorena as much I did in "The Reluctant", then you'll be happy to know s ...more

In this book, Tom shows chivalry to his wife as he steps in the line of fire to protect her. This to me shows such true love, even after thinking of cheating on her in the first book. So much more suspensefull than the first book, Tom runs into trouble around every corner. Tiny became more appealing to me in this book due to his commitment to his friend Tom. I love how the author made you feel like the characters we fall in love with will be wiped out at any second. Can't wait for the 3rd book t ...more
The Willing is the second book in the Tom Crayder series so reading the first one will give you the backstory. That being said, not reading the first one first will NOT take away from the excitement of this story at all. It may leave a few holes but trust me, you will enjoy filling them in yourself as you read.

I truly like Tom Crayder! He is a fun guy that I would love to be neighbors with. He may not be the perfect husband and father but he does his best and there is no doubt that he loves his
The Willing is a fast-paced, action-packed thrill ride. It's a story you'd expect from Vince Flynn, if he was tasked with writing an episode of Sons of Anarchy. Assassins, secret operatives, shady organizations, biker gangs- it's all there. Amid the struggling balance between violence and justice is Tom Crayder, just a guy who wants to make some money and protect his wife, Jenny. Tom and his intriguing cast of supporting characters take you on an adventure through the darker side of normal, imme ...more

Synergistic soup of screwball comedy and crime thriller. Dexter meets ""Into the Night". Full of double-double crosses, dogs and small planes. Some of the smoothest prose I've encountered in a long time. Splitter's characters are so real, flawed and loveable.

Take it to the beach, you won't be disappointment.

C.S. Splitter is a business man, author, and stand-up philosopher living in rural Maryland with his beautiful wife, small dog, and astonishingly large cat. He is an avid shooter and loves being 5000 feet above the ground, upside down, in an open cockpit.

He will never again jump out of a perfectly good airplane and feels the need to color outside of the lines.
