Forever and a Day is the sixth book in the Lucky Harbor series and just like the first five stories... amazing! In all my reviews of Jill Shalvis’ books I use the same words: sexy, passionate, beautiful, wonderful, heartwarming, feel good, magical… and all of those words apply to this story, too.

Originally from New York, Grace Brooks applied for a banking job in Seattle and when that didn't turn out she drove until she ended up in Lucky Harbor, Washington. That night she met friends Mallory and Amy in a diner where they were stuck waiting out a freak snowstorm.
Dr Josh Scott has his hands full. With working in ER and his medical practice, looking after his twenty-one year-old sister, his five year-old son and a new puppy, the man seriously has no time for anything else. Accept this is L More...

Forever and a Day tells the story of Grace Brooks who came to Lucky Harbor when her banking career went kaput and a job interview called for "fringe services" she wasn't willing to offer, so she got stranded in Lucky Harbor in a storm and has been there for the past four months, forming the Chocoholics along with Mallory and Amy.
Both her friends have their life sorted now but Grace is still applying for jobs and her savings are soon dwindling and she is doing everything she can.

4.00 Stars - Contemporary/Small Town Romance.

Every time I read Jill Shalvis I’m reminded just how much I love to read anything she has to write. Be sure to lay this one on the reading list followed by your keeper shelve. It has everything ranging from an extremely capable hero of a doctor and sweetheart heroine, an adorable five year old and his rebellious aunt, and a puppy to fill up the equation. Books from Jill Shalvis always make me feel like I'm visiting really good friends. There is true comfort, a sense of camaraderie and just plain silly joy that comes from reading one of her stories. I could add that I'm a big fan, but that's probably glaringly obvious at this point.
That said, Forever And A Day, while it still managed to hook me early and reel me in, did not end up being a favorite, as the other books in this series have.

Dear Sawyer,
You had me head over heels in love with you but there is a new hottie that has caught my eye.
He’s a doctor, you know. That’s a checkmark in his favor.
He’s also got a hot bod. Another checkmark.
Let’s not forget the sexy things he likes to say. Check. Mark.
Sorry, but I think I’m going to stay with Dr. Scott for a little bit. Please don’t shoot me.

This. This is my favorite Lucky Harbor book.
What’s that, you say? I already said this before? Well I can’t help it. Blame it on the author—she keeps upping her game with each book in this series.
Dr. Josh Scott (aka McSexy, Dr. McHottie, Hunkalicious Doctor) is overworked, overtired, and teetering on the edge of sanity. He thinks he’s taking care of everybody and everything, but with all that’s going on, he’s essentially unavailable. Th More...

I've always liked Jill Shalvis' work; but this series shines above everything else she's written. Good grief, but the woman knows how to write about hot, yummy men. The only current contemp author whose series even comes close to this one (imo) is Bella Andres 'Sullivans' series; but still like this one better.
This time around it was down-on-her-luck Grace; and Dr. McHottie (Josh). Who each h in these books is going to wind up with is no big secret. The way Shalvis writes this series the reader More...

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single doctor in possession of a five-year-old son, a potentially evil pug, a belligerent younger sister and the schedule from Hell must be in want of a wife. Okay, perhaps not, but Dr. Josh Scott is in need of a dog walker for his son’s rambunctious puppy. A misdial of the phone lands Grace Brooks — a brainy, out-of-work beauty new to Lucky Harbor — the job. And when Josh’s nanny quits without notice More...

It's no secret that I love Shalvis novels. I think she writes fun contemporary romances with just the right blend of humor and emotion. But this, well, this is probably the best Shalvis I've read to date.
As I was reading, I was reminded of Susan Elizabeth Phillips, with the dialogue and depth of emotion. Not to mention the humor. I literally laughed out loud on several occasions.
I plan to write a more in depth review closer to the release date. For now I think I can sum it up by saying I loved More...

Oh. My. Goodness. I absolutely ADORED. This. Book. So much so that I did something I haven’t done in a long long time: I read it twice. In a row.
Forever and a Day is the sixth book in Jill Shalvis’ Lucky Harbor. Readers of my blog know that I am fan of this series. I’ve read all the books and I can easily say that this latest one was my favorite of the bunch. And that is saying something considering how much I loved each and every installment.

Forever and a Day is maybe the most beautiful story of the Lucky Harbor series.

If I could have given this 6 stars then I would have - for me it is one of the best Lucky Harbor books.
When we first read about Josh in the some of the previous stories I thought he would be ok, but I wasn’t really raving about him as he didn’t seem to dazzle as much as Ty & Matt, his two friends. But my mind was sure changed quick, Josh is just as sexy and confident as the others and is witty and sweet to go with it. Dr. Joshua Scott is a single parent who i More...

Loved so much!!!
I was lucky enough to get an early copy of Forever and a Day from NetGalley. I’m a huge fan of Jill Shalvis and couldn’t wait to read the next installment in the Lucky Harbor series.
I know I said I loved At Last best of this current trilogy, but I spoke too soon. Forever and a Day jumped to the top my Lucky Harbor favorites for this current trilogy. Can’t say it’s my favorite of the series, since Tara and Ford are still my favorite couple, but it is a really close second.

Not that I didn't have high expectations for a Jill Shalvis book.... But Forever and a Day was a very, very pleasant surprise. I had read the other two books in this trilogy (Lucky in Love and At Last)of Lucky Harbor and had liked Grace, but she packed a wallop in this one - I hadn't thought of her as that forward, feisty or fun (my three 'f's, yes, I just made that up). I almost feel as if the other books hadn't done her any justice. As for Josh, he was strong and More...

MY FULL REVIEW (for what it's worth) NOW POSTED
Definitely not my favorite of the series, but I have preface by saying that the whole "doctor thing" doesn't do it for me at all, because I work with doctors and I think most of them are asses. Sexy, funny, amazing! I always feel so at home with the Lucky Harbor residents.
Forever and a Day is the sixth book in the Lucky Harbor series and my favorite in the series. I didn’t think that was possible after reading The Sweetest Thing because I absolutely adored Tara and Ford’s book. But alas, Shalvis wrote another wonderful story that stole my heart. A satisfying follow up in the LH series, as well as my favorite of the last three installments. I became disappointed in the series until I read Forever and a Day. As always, humor ensues. Clever lines and endearing characters gave way to an overall amazing book. One thing I love about it is that Josh's ex and mother of his son, never popped up out of the woodwork to create unnecessary drama. I hate those predictable plot lines. Forever and a Day is an absolute joy to read. This is Jill Shalvis at her best. Loved the characters and the story flowed so smoothly. Grace is trying to figure out what and who she wants to be. Josh is trying to be everything he needs to be for everyone and in the end they find each other and it works beautifully. Almost magical.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Jill Shalvis is becoming one of my favorite authors right now. Her books touch my heart, speed up my pulse and make me laugh out loud. This one was no exception. Honestly the only thing I didn't like about it was the cover! That dorky guy on the front is NOTHING like how I picture the hunky McSexy doctor. I loved this book. I just LOVE the Lucky Harbor series! This is book six in the series ... the third Chocoholics book.
The job Grace Brooks had gone to Seattle to take fell through. She arrived in Lucky Harbor to stay the night, got stuck by a snowstorm and just... stayed. She's been getting by doing temp work and odd jobs around town. She loves Lucky Harbor and the people there but her savings is depleted and she really needs to find 'real' work.

(Apr) 3.5* I liked this book in spite of its faults, which were not many but were annoying. I think JS writes either really good heroines (Mallory) or really annoying heriones (Amy). Grace was closer to good vs. annoying, but still - she seemed to have a bit of a "I'm right and you are wrong, so now apologize" attitude going on too often - and usually she was not right! I would have liked to see a bit more interaction w/her parents - I think there needed to be a bit of resolution of their relati More...

So, I really didn't love Josh or his family. (Especially the treatment of Anna like she was 15 years old instead of 21.) For me, this story is all about Grace. As someone who is unemployed right now, I could really relate to her struggle, and the big HEA for me was her finding a career path that allowed her to stay in Lucky Harbor. This could have been just a book about Grace looking for and finding work without any hero, and I would have eaten it up with a spoon. I love her creative ways of mak More...

I think out of the second set of three books in this series, this one was my favorite. I am so, so surprised by that, because usually with Shalvis' series everything starts out great for me with the first book then progresses to a point where I'm losing it. The magic fizzles and everything that was working for me, is now put to the back burner for the sake of relationship confusions and miscommunications that border on the expected melodrama of

Jill Shalvis is what good romance is all about. She writes stories like Debbie Macomber and Sherryl Woods with characters you really connect with. In this case its Amy, Mallory and Grace in the town of Lucky Habor.
But that's not all, there's each women's significant other as well as some pretty crazy people from the town particularly Lucille who runs an art gallery in town.
