OMG cover is just lickable
I have to admit I was not liking Zandy from the preview but in context she isnt the slutty ho i was worried about. loved loved loved Tiger possibly my 2nd favorite after Valiant now.
Vengance .. just when you start to hate him you end up kinda caring for him so sad so hoping he gets a HEA!
Midnight ... throw us a Bone Lauranne a novella at least on her hook up with a human please!!

Tiger's story is WHITE HOT!!! The chemistry between he and Zandy is completely OFF.THE.CHAIN. His book definitely lived up to my expectations considering how bad I couldn't wait to read it.

I'm on the verge between "it was ok" and "I liked it" thus the 2.5 star rating.
Quick overview: Zandy (whose name I hated at first but then it grew on me) gets rescued by our New Species hero, Tiger, when she inadvertently finds herself in the middle of a bar brawl. He rescues her and she proceeds to feel him up on the bonnet of a car.
Fast forward a few weeks and Zandy finds herself in the position of needing a new job and she ends up scoring the position in the mail room at Reservation...one o...more

Another fab book by Laurann. Absolutely enjoyed the humour that is always so expertly written in all of her books, as well as the tears and the great drama and action and tense moments.
I really enjoyed this one very much and can't wait for the next issue.
Some new (and old) characters introduced that will hopefully have a book of their own in the near future. Flame, Brass, Creek, Vengeance...ah poor Ven...he needs a new mate so badly, my heart...more

My main complaint about these books is that the character's relationships are all based around the sex they have. I always roll me eyes when I get to the inevitable "I love you" scene. I'm like HOW???? YOU RARELY EVEN TALK TO EACH OTHER. All their encounters are sexsexsex, followed by the heroine getting kidnapped and tortured and then the hero saves her (DUH). There is no room for conversation between all the fucking and fighting.

I have to admit I have not read the New Species series by Laurann Dohner, so Tiger is my first of the series. Therefore, I must state that it can very well be a stand alone read since I've obviously missed out on the previous six books in the series. Tiger was an absolute joy ride. It was super hot with PLENTY of erotic sex scenes, good character development, a good plot and storyline, as well as suspense and action to put you on the edge of your seat!

Because of the repetitive elements I cannot give it a 5, but I enjoyed it almost as much, as the previous books :) I hoped that Tiger finally find a woman who puts him on his ass since he always interfere with the other New Species's relationship and always claims that he doesn't want a mate, much less a human female. Hah! Guess what! In your face, buddy! :D

Oh Man!!! Book #7 and still going strong... I simply cannot put these books down when I start reading them... What better New Species to bring to his knees than one whose sworn up and down through this whole series that he'd never take a mate and he swore off human females to boot!!! First of all, I love the cover and it goes well with the story, so don't forget the cover after you have read the book (hot guy, towels, possible grief). :-)
I think this was my favorite of the New Species series so far (although the Cyborgs and Berrr are my real favorites). I am a Laurann Dohner mega-fan so I just`read anything that comes out, and there are several series going on all at once... unusual for most writers. At least this way one doesn't get the feeling that the whole thing is over...more

Breed or New Species?
I probably didn't give this one a chance b/c it is the 7th in the series and it was, IMO, very tepid and predictable, about a tough New species named Tiger who:
a) mysteriously, long ago, developed a distaste for human females and a distrust for humans in general, which is not explained very much but obviously is enough for him to reject his human lover...tedious
b) finds lust with a human female and can't keep his hands off her, but decides to do all the "mate" things with he...more

First of all: If this book was the only one I had read in this serie(they can be read as stand alone books) I would have rated it higher. Tiger has been my favorite new species ever since he first got introduced and he doesn't disappoint in this book. Another great thing about this book is of course Vengeance. And I am pretty sure I am not the only reader wishing he would carry ME into the woods becauce I would not at all fight back.

Loved this one because it is pretty darn funny. A lot of the characters have many humorous moments. I enjoyed getting to see more of the inner-workings of the NSO.
Watching Zandy's story unfold was like watching the perilous adventures of Penelope of something. It was like one thing after another with her mishaps.

Sigh, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger. What can I say? I've been waiting to read about Tiger since I first met him in Fury. He was smart, funny, charming and hell bent on NOT taking a mate. Tiger is a good book. I didn't feel as moved as the previous few. I found Tiger's downfall from this lofty position against taking humans as mates quite apropos. Is this unexpected? No. Was it funny to watch? Yes. Tiger is adamant against humans because they are so delicate. The one he falls for seems to be a hot mess.

I am totally cheating in writing this review. I started reading the first book in the series, Fury, as a free download on Amazon and, though it looked intriguing, it sat for a while since I always have a huge list of books to read. I'm not sure what made me read it... I think I saw a rave review from one of my friends on Goodreads. Anyway, I started it, and I could not put it down.
