Seriously, best book EVER! I love, love, love it! I might be getting this as a present for lots of women that I know who are having problems losing the weight! I’m not giving up my copy! As I read through, I would dogear the page that I wanted to reread or remember and have at least half of the pages dogeared! The whole premise is “How to Have Endless Energy to Outplay Your Kids.” Since I have five, I absolutely want that! This book tells you step-by-step, how you can be a fit mom for LIFE, not ...more

I was very pleased with this book. It is a very quick read, but very inspirational. Dustin Maher is very passionate about helping moms find their self worth to get fit and get healthy. He helps explain basic nutrition, fitness, and more to help you achieve your goals. Through out the book are testimonies of Moms who took his program is different ways and talk about their struggles and accomplishments. I found myself looking at my own routine in a different light and very pleased with my positive ...more

I have been on a weight loss journey for the past 2 1/2 years. From January 2010 to March 2012 I lost 25 pounds and since then I have pretty well been stuck - only losing about a pound and half in 4 months. I looked forward to reading Fit Moms for Life to give me some rejuvenated motivation.

One of the components of a healthy life that Dustin stresses is goal setting. This is a tool that was very valuable to me when I started losing weight, but as my weight loss has slowed down and I find myself

What an appropriate book to be reviewing right now, at the end of one year and the beginning of the next. Many will be setting New Years' Resolutions to lose weight and get fit, as I am. This manual is perfect for helping you reach these goals. It contains a complete, realistic plan designed specifically for Moms.

Ladies, if you've had children, you know how pregnancy wreaks havoc on your body and metabolism. You probably experienced the overwhelming feeling that you will never get back into your

I was recently sent a copy of the Fit Moms for Life book by Dustin Maher and I'm so glad. As my Fibromyalgia has progressed I find myself more and more sedentary and sleeping more and more. For me it's more a matter of choosing one or two things I can do well such as walking on the treadmill and using a stationary/recumbant bike for short periods of time. Fit Moms for Life is a great book for those who want to make small changes and for those that like to "Bite the Bullet" and jump in head ...more

What I think:

I really like that Fit Moms For Life is a book for moms. The success stories, and before/after photos are motivating and encouraging. The frequently asked questions section answered a couple of questions I currently had on working out. So, that was a great perk of reading the book for me.

I agree with Dustin when he says, "Fit Mom, Fit Family." I think that the healthier mom is and the more active , the more her children will follow by example. Plus if the junk is just not in the ho

This is an easy to read book that gives in depth details on how to burn fat and reach your goals. There’s a section on exercises that not only tell you step by stop how to perform them, also photos showing them. Very helpful!!

Dustin also gives you lists of gluten free and diary free healthy food choices for snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a list of healthy carbs, fats and protiens to include in your eating plan.

There is a wealth of information in this book, and is one I’m sure to read f

I think it might be harder to relate to this book without having attended one of Dustin's camps. The writing is simple and direct and the testimonials inspiring. He seems to have a common sense approach to health and also an approach that will potentially protect older knees.
