**Disclosure** I read this book, for free, from S&S Galley Grab. While I always appreciate a free book for review, my opinions are in no way influenced by the free-ness lol**

Truth or Dare by PJ Night.

I admit, first off, that I opted to read this selection from Galley Grab because I liked the cover once I looked it up here on Goodreads. It's cute, youthful, fun, and hints at spookiness, like an updated Fear Street or Goosebumps from back in the day. (Speaking of which, I really loved that one

I love little mysteries, especially those that are part of a series and Creepover: Truth or Dare caught my eye. When I picked it up and read the review I instantly thought of R.L. Stine. R.L. Stein has always been my favorite author and I’ve read every one of his books in the Fear Street, Cheerleaders, Fear Street Super chiller, Ghosts of Fear Street, and Goosebumps series. (I’ll confess I still own my Goosebumps collection and still read them from time to time.)

Summary :
This book is about three girls at a sleepover. The girls where playing truth or dare that night when one girl asked her who she liked. She told them.
That night the girl gets a text message in the middle of the night but she turned of her phone and had it beside her. So these girls are trying to figure out who sent the text message & why..

Why i picked up this book:
I picked up this book because I was at Coles choosing a book for english class and my dad told me to hurry up so I picked
This was a good book for the younger set. Just enough creepy to keep those 4th - 6th graders a litte scared. I enjoyed this one and will recommend it to the younger readers.

"When Abby Miller confesses her crush on Jake during a game of Truth or Dare and then receives a text message warning her to stay away from him, she starts suspecting that her stalker is a ghost, and not a jealous classmate."
I read this with my daughter over the past week. She still loves either me reading to her or her reading to me, even though she is 8! LOL! I know this will end soon. But I have to say, for a young adult/children's chapter book, this was a pretty good book. Kind of scary and creepy but not so much that it scared her. She takes after me though and loves reading "scary" mystery books. Yes this book could have been much longer but it is a YA book and a lot of things are left out or underdeveloped, b ...more

When I read that this new series was the 'Goosebumps for the modern generation,' I knew it had big shoes to fill, I was a fan of Goosebumps in my early teens and still have a stack of them on my shelf so, of course, I was eager to give this a try, even if it is aimed at 9-11 year olds!

Thankfully the book lived up to the claim and I found I really enjoyed it, and I didn't even guess the end! I think it's fantastically written for the audience it's aimed at and made a great guilty pleasure for mys

If I was younger, I would have absolutely loved this book. Even though I'm not in the target age range for this books (probably 8-12 year old), this was a guilty pleasure for me! This was a simple story with a hint of creepiness that would be fantastic for children, young teens or any reluctant readers.

When I was younger, I really enjoyed reading books such as The Sleepover Club and Goosebumps, and if the Creepover series was available then, it would've been a sure hit with me! Truth or Dare cer

Creepover: Truth or Dare, while not something that can really hold my interest now, is a book I know I would have enjoyed in my pre-teen years.

Fans of R.L Stine will most likely enjoy this one – I devoured the Goosebumps series when I was a kid, several of which I found incredibly creepy (I seem to recall a dolls house one that I loved and hated in equal measures). I’d say Truth or Dare is a little tamer, it doesn’t quite manage to hit

This is the first in a new series of spooky stories aimed at the 9-12 year old market for girls. And it's an enjoyable start.

The story is the perfect blend of romance, mystery and creep factor! Definitely aimed at a younger audience it's a really fun read - it reminded me of the point horror books I read when I was younger.

The story was quick to read so I think it would be very good for any reluctant readers too. It's engaging - I really wanted to find out what was going on! Who was behind all t

I am not the target age for this book. It's aim at young girls between 9-12 but I have to say I really did enjoy it and looking forward to reading more of the Creepover books.

Truth or Dare is about Abby, a young girl who at a sleepover plays truth or dare with friends and she picks truth and ends up revealing to her friends who she has a crush on. However, in the middle of the night she receives a creepy text message telling her to stay away from her crush, Jake. Soon Abby feels like lots of cre

You're invited to a creepover and what a chillfest it was. I loved this book, I'm not the intended audience but that didn't matter at all. What an all round fun, girly read. If you are a fan of the old Goosebumps series, like me, then you will probably enjoy this.

Abby Miller and her friends have a sleepover at Abby's house. In a game of truth or dare Abby admits to having a crush on a guy called Jake. From then on in very creepy things start to happen to Abby. One text message to Abby's phone wa
3 1/2 stars. When Abby has a sleepover that includes a game of Truth or Dare, she is forced to tell her friends who her secret crush is. Turns out it is her neighbor, Jake, who had previously dated the beautiful Sara. But Sara was killed in an accident. When Jake asks Abby to a dance, she is excited but strange messages warning her to stay away from Jake, Abby becomes convinced that Sara is visiting her, from the grave.

This book is lots of girly, creepy fun. It is the first in the You're Invited

I must confess this is not the first time I tried this series. I started with the sleepover one, and I really didn't like it. I picked this one up because I am making a scary book display, and started to read it.
As other reviewers have stated: this one is filled with fun chills and a spooky setting that will remind readers of early Goosebumps and Christopher Pike. This is a great Halloween read for the early teen, tween crowd. There is also a rather surprising and satisfying ending. Good read.

This was not the first book I read in this series. I started, ironically with #13. Truth or Dare was just as an enjoyable read. They don't take long to read but hey still leave you satisfied. I only wish there was a cleat defined age for the main character; I couldn't decide on what I thought it might be.

This was an awesome book! You should read it when you want a good little scare.I like how on the back of the book it has a "scare-o meter" and on the meter it has things like sleep like a baby, hide under the covers, sleep with the lights on, sleep with one eye open, and never sleep again. This one was rated sleep with the lights on.I just loved this book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good little scare.Again I say that this book is awesome and Iwould like to read the rest of the s ...more

The book starts out with a mysterious girl spying on Abby and Leah buying snacks for their sleepover. It quickly moves very light-hearted when Leah spots the boy she has a crush on and gets tongue-tied. The story then moves to the sleepover, where Abby reveals who her crush is. Everything is going awesome until Abby gets a mysterious text that reads, "Leave him alone. He's mine!!! Don't make me tell you twice!" Lots of strange things start to happen to Abby. She seriously starts to see the ghost ...more

This book made me think about sleepovers that I had as a kid. Playing truth or dare and doing crazy things were always involved. Abby invites three girls over and they tell secrets, watch scary movies and basically creep each other out. Abby shares that she has a crush on Jake and then she starts getting creepy text messages. After the sleepover Abby begins to see a girl with red hair which resembles Jakes girlfriend who died suddenly. This book definitely keeps your attention and is perfect for ...more

This was a great book. It was about this girl named Abby Miller. She had a sleepover at her house with her friends. In the part when they where playing truth or dare, Abby confess her crush was Jake Chilson. After that creepy thing stared to happen to Abby like her phone was by her when she went to sleep but when she woke up in middle of the night she got creepy text message and the creepy part is when her phone was by the stairs. It gets a little bit creepy when you start to read the book.

I finished reading truth or dare last year and I wish I hadn't. it is the WORST creepover book so far. and I DO NOT CARE what other people say: THIS IS A TERRIBLE BOOK! but, it's the first book, and p.j. night was pretty new to this, so I can cut him/her some slack. the BOOK, however, I CANNOT. it's boring, cliché, and gosh darn it if the plot twist isn't just PATHETIC! I mean, COME ON!

The Creepover was a good novel. It wasn't spectacular, however, I think that it had a good storyline. I noticed that the mystery really added a sense of suspense. The central issue is that someone sent Abby texts to stay away from her crush, and she's to figure out who sent them. If I were Abby, I would be terrified throughout the whole story. I was very surprised at the twisted ending.
