Another awesome piece of work from the awesome Julieanne Lynch. She blew us away with In The Shadows, and now she is even doing it with her short stories! This woman has no end of amazing talent. I raise my glass and concede: "I WANT MORE!"
Cute...yet to short of a book. Hope there is more to come.

I was given this by the author for an honest review

Holy moly it’s Antoine, I loved Within the shadows & Escaping Shadows and this is a prequel to both of those, this one tells the tale

Once again Julieanne's stories grip you from page one, and once she told me the story was about Antoine (yes the one from "Within the Shadows" and "Escaping the Shadows") I knew I had to read this twelve page novella, as I loved him in the other books she's written. Yes, I love him just the same or perhaps more then I did before, "I assume you are expecting other company!" Antoine blurted out as he casually rested his back against the trunk of the willow. "Bizarre how all this works isn't it. He ...more
I came across this title the other day while on Amazon, being written by Julieanne Lynch, I just had to buy it. I am glad I did.

The world building is spellbinding, keeping me absorbed in the story. I love how this author blends the world building with mystery and suspense as she weaves the characters in.

A lone vampire with absolutly no idea what he will run into when he steps through to the other side, he is there for his own reasons, yet what takes place is not what he envisioned. Then the old

"Bitter Kisses" by Julianne Lynch is a wonderful short story about an angel and a vampire in a magical realm fighting of evil and falling in love.
The story draws you in quickly with three great characters. The battle between good and evil, angels and demons is as much personal between the archangel and her dark counterpart.
The scenes are written with passion and vivid imagination and references to Lucifer and a (I assume non biblical) god of light.
I found this short piece very easy to read and e

It was more like a very underdeveloped story. Pity really, because it has conceptual makings of being a good fantasy tale.
It wasn't the fact it was too short per se. I just could have been so much more. Perhaps the author will be creating a longer version with the same characters.
Aside from that it felt a bit overdone, wishy washy in parts and leaned a little heavily on the instalove factor. Instead I would have liked to have seen more of these demons and creatures the main character battles wit

This book is the back story about Antoine and Ysoriel. Tells you how they meet and what happen with them to be where they are now.
I loved this book it told the whole back story so you could understand their relationship in the other 2 books.

You will love this book. I give it 5 stars I wish I could give it more.

This is a short but sweet story of good and evil. A good angel battles against an evil angel. But the surprising thing is a vampire saves the good angel :D hehe you know they love each other by the way the sacrafic everything to save each other's life. :) so sweet can't wait to read more :D
I love Antoinne in julieanne's books, so this introduction to him is a fun, short read. It also explains how he becomes the way he is in future books.

If you've read the shadow series you will enjoy this quick read.

Another great read! What's better than an angel and a vampire working together? Who could pass up someone like Antoine? Waiting for more to come!
This was an excellent short read. I just wish it was longer. It was written beautifully and the story kept me engaged all the way through.

Way to short. But it has promisings for a good start to a series.
Quick read, good storyline.

Well it was over before it start, but all and all a nice short story. I haven't read anything else by this author and I see this is based on a character from a series. I do wish the series interested me enough so I could read more about Antoine. Maybe one day she will continue with these two.

This was a free kindle find.
This short book was more of an insight of how Antoine and Ysoriel met. It was a good little read. But I probably should have read this before reading about him and Giselle. I was like 'No, not with the Angel!" "More Antoine and Giselle!" Great read if your curios how the Nightwalker and Angel came to be.
