This book is a good introduction into the concept of Permaculture. Included in the book are some good lists of plants to get you going.
I'm learning that Permaculture is more of an art than a science. It takes a lot of careful thought and consideration. Everyone's situation is different and you need to carefully consider what is important to you and then start planning accordingly.

Pretty good advice, but the strong vegan emphasis can be occasionally offputting. In addition, this is really just an overview; there's little how-to.
A great introduction! Has a lot of useful tips for transforming your land into a permaculture oasis.
I'm fairly sure I read this book, but don't remember much about it.
My rating seems a little unfair. This is an introductory book, but I was looking for something a bit more specific and in-depth. I would recommend this if you're looking for an introductory overview.

This is a very well thought-out introduction to permaculture gardening in the UK, where nearly everyone (at the time of publication) had access to arable/gardenable land. Some of the ideas are outdated (as in, probably dangerous), but overall it is a reasonable, practical book full of suggestions, explanations, and examples.
I would buy this book and others by Graham Bell about permaculture or related topics.
