The day you get married, is supposed to be the happiest day of your life. Dreams are made of such things. But I forgot. I could blame the witch if I wanted to - in fact I did, for quite a while after - but the fault can only lie with me. Being with him made me so happy - so very, very happy - that I chose to forget. I chose amnesia. If I had had any foresight into how my f...more

BRIEF SUMMARY
Aria, was a mermaid who has made a choice to be completely human. A witch has granted her what she desires but this could cost her her happiness.

THOUGHTS

This was an interesting tale with a twist of 'The Little Mermaid'. The best way to describe my take on this story, it was happily sad with a love that was lost and found; It's a story of love, sacrifice, and choices.

Aria makes a choice with a witch some years ago that left her with amne...more

I received a copy of “Til Death Do Us Part (an adult retelling of The Little Mermaid) to read for my enjoyment from Dianna herself. And it’s only fair that I in turn leave my fair and unbiased review,

~~~ CIRCLE OF LIFE ~~~
We all love our fairy tales from when we were kids, and as an adult put them to the back of our minds - not to forget, but to fondly bring them back and remember, feeling sad or wistfully that we have to “act ” like an adult.
Then its times like this as an adult we “DO” get to...more
I received this book from the author to give an honest review.
This book was a short 34 pages for me, but I could feel the love that the Aria felt through out the whole book.
'Til Death Do Us Part takes start where Aria is marrying the person she feels is her prince Simon. She made a deal with a sea-witch to be human, but of course we all know what happens when you make those kinds of deals.. There is always something shady. In this case the guy that Aria fell in love with was not suppose to fall...more
This is a short story, about 20 or so pages. It picks up where Aria has just married her "prince" and is happier than she has ever been. However, her happiness is not to last. Poseidon, the one she was betrothed to, is looking for her and the witch's spell, which made her human, will be broken as soon as her husband gives her his heart.
This is a beautiful yet tragic story of true love and sacrifice. It is definitely not your Disney, everybody sing and be merry version. Aria wants nothing more th...more
Who's read The Little Mermaid”? I guess we all did. Well, this story is a version of what it could be.
At a young age, Aria falls in love with a human, her prince, Simon. And although she is to marry the sea-god, she makes a deal with a sea-witch to convert her into a woman, so she could be with her lover. And, in exchange, the witch took all her memories.
For ten years Aria had a wonderful life with her human; however, on their wedding night, he bre...more
'Til Death Do Us Part is a 10,000 (approx) word novelette, and is an adult retelling of Disney's The Little Mermaid story. It was just what I needed, short, snappy and brilliantly sexy. It is a million leagues away from the Disney story & that's just the way I liked it.
Aria makes a deal with an evil sea witch, she becomes human, to be with her love, Simon. But as always there are conditions, Aria won't remember who she was before and Simon must never give her his heart. She agrees, eager to...more
I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
This is a short adult retelling of the classic little mermaid story.
Although an adult story and at times explicit it is a sad story about hope and love.
At one stage of the story the mermaid remembers being human, and seeing a rainbow over a bridge and the beauty of it. The book is filled with little snippets like these, making the reader aware of how much we truly take for granted.
Dianna Hardy's adult re-telling of the classic "The Little Mermaid," is both beautiful, and heart-breaking.
Based on the original fairytale, "'Til Death Do Us Part," is set in the modern day, and has a lovely dose of mythology and magic. The book was wonderfully written, and despite the sacrifice and pain Aria has to go through - like a true fairytale - this story shows that true love really will conquer all.
Must read for any lover of fairytales!
I was lucky enough to win this book from the author, but would have happily downloaded it.
An adult telling of The Little Mermaid, which is much darker and sexier than the story readers will remember.
A quick read that’s heart-warming, emotional and explicit at times. Life and love come full circle, and makes you think about what you would give up to make the one you love happy.
I was given this book by the author in return for an honest opinion.
This book was excellent from the first page. I couldn't put it down, I loved how the author did an updated version of the little mermaid, an made it her own!!!
An excellent read even if it is a short story it's a definite MUST read for anyone!!!!!
A lovely, modern retelling of a beautiful story. The Little Mermaid meets the 21st century. I really enjoyed this story and recommend it for a little something to spice up your reading life.
Author of The Witching Pen and the Eye Of The Storm series.
Dianna combines a titillating mix of paranormal romance and urban fantasy into her writing, to bring you stories that are action-packed, fast-paced and not short of heat, with the focus on both character development and the plot. She writes both full-length novels and short fiction. She has also written poetry (first published in 1997) and...more
“At the sound of my name, those two worlds on either side of me collide, and my lips meet his. Time ceases to exist, and so, apparently does any logic that my mind is hanging on to. Logic would say that this is insane; every other fibre of my being says it's right.” 5 people liked it
“Til death do us part....
The words wrap around my mind like soft, silk binds, and I cherish the imagery. Eternity can only be with this man – there will never be another who knows me so well.”
