I was a little down knowing that it was the last volume. From the previous chapters, I expected the story to develop into a heroic fight between hell and heaven where every "animals" returned to their real forms and some unexpected secrets behind Kobato's existence would be revealed. But throughoutly, it was a nice manga with bright and clean sketches, really refreshing after the gloominess of Tsubasa and xxxHolic. And I was a little bit biased but Kobato reminded me of my Cardcaptor Sakura so I ...more
Absolutely Beautiful. Fitting ending for a charming story.
The story revolves around Kobato, a girl who is commissioned to complete a quest, this is to fill a bottle with the wishes of the wounded hearts of the people, in order to fulfill his wish. As she does, she has a companion called Ioryogi, a talking teddy stubborn. In the course of history, Kobato will encounter people who need to be healed and help to obtain their "fragments" to fulfill his wish.
At the beginning of the story is not much recount the details of the story, as in almost all Clamp s
Hanato, Kobato (last name, first name) is a girl on a mission to heal people's hearts, she has Ioryogi, a spirit trapped inside a stuffed animal, as her compantion. After Kobato heals someone, she gets a 'Konpeito', a candy shaped thing that represents she has healed someone. Once she has filled up a jar of them, Kobato gets her wish granted. But, she has one year to fill up the bottle. She encounters lots of people along the way, like Sayaka-sensei and Fujimoto, Kiyokaze (last name, first name) ...more

I actually finished the anime way before I did the manga, and I have to say that the manga is beautifully done, especially the last two books. They really give the reader background information on what war Iorogi started, why, and about Kobato's existence.

I especially liked this ending because it doesn't just leave Iorogi in his stuffed animal body, there's a promise of return in the next life. (Although the whole stranger to confessing to each other felt really...weird haha)
I must say, I was a bit down to find out that this is already the last volume. I will miss the characters, badly and can only hope to see one or two of them in the background of some other CLAMP mangas. The story was incredibly cute, which was a nice change compared to xxxHolic or the last 14 volumes of Tsubasa.
Once more, the amazing women of CLAMP have succeeded to surprise me but in the end, I was left with a bit of disappointment, too. How can they finish the series without showing Ginsei in
All I can say about this is wow. Wow! What an incredible story!! I think I'm going to actually have to own this instead if just borrowing from the library. It's begging for a reread!

This last volume had me crying from about 1/2 thru till the end. It was happy and sad all at once. It was another great story about love from clamp. I can't wait to revisit it!
First, take a look at the cover art for this volume. Isn't it darling? That's the heroine, Kobato, and she is the heart and soul of this story, which makes this story, then, absolutely darling.

If I had any complaint with this series, it's that it was simply too short. I wanted more development between the characters, more time to see Kobato and her interactions with the people she works with at the kindergarten.

The conclusion of the story is very CLAMP (and thus perhaps very Japanese), which, is
Wow, this series did not go at all in the direction I thought it was going.
Then again, this is classic CLAMP bait and switch storytelling: start out light and fun then turn dark and twist your heart.
It’s not the ending I was hoping for but it did work out perfectly for where the story was headed. I particularly appreciate that all the little hints and seemingly throw-away comments are elements were explained/resolved/actually meaningful in the end.
That’s good storytelling.
And let’s not forget t

Wow that ended soon. :/ I would've liked more time with these characters, I was enjoying them. Also I never got confirmation on whether Ginsei presented male or female! But my hypothetical grouchy girl rabbit! T_T Well at least when it's left ambiguous I can read zir as I will. It wrapped up in a way that was very much what I'd expect from a short running CLAMP series so I don't have much complaints. 3.5 stars

It was really cute, and sweet~ Really love the characters, especially Kobato herself~! CLAMP definitely made some awesome manga series~
Ah! Bete akhirnya begitu saja. Nggak perlu pake review ya, nanti spoiler keluar semua ahaha. Well, clamp itu emang paling mantep kalo bikin komik dengan jumlah yang panjang, kalau sedikit kayak kobato gini, yah gini, masih kuraaaaangg, akhirnya jadi kayak asal udah epilog aja. Duh ikutan sedih saat Fujimotonya nangis ;((
Tapi yah clamp, still love them and their story :D
...kenapa CLAMP jadi hobi bikin karakter2 yang punya kembaran sih... -_-a

we reach the last volujme, and things finally make sense. it keeps you on the edge of your seat to see how things will turn out, and to shed a tear when things don't exactly end the way we want it too.

A touching conclusion. I just wish it was longer and a little more flushed out. I'll have to give the anime adaptation a whirl and see how it compares.
This V. - 3 1/2 STARS. A very satisfying conclusion.

Series Overall - 3 1/2 STARS. Started out iffy, but evolved as the series continued.

Desde luego, otro final paradójico, extraño, increíble e impresionante que cierra una obra maestra de Clamp.
This has to have been one of the best stories! I absolutely adore Kobato!! I'm so sad it's finished!
PERFECT ending!!! I loved it so much!!! I'm so happy with how it ended!
