The third book in Laura Antoniou's THE MARKETPLACE series brings us into the house of Anderson, the Trainer of Trainers, where Chris Parker and a few clients are in residence. Michael LaGuardia loves being part of the Marketplace and loves the sex slaves he regularly trains. After a couple of years in California, though, Michael thinks he is ready for a step up, an apprent ...more

Becca
This third book in the Marketplace series answers several questions and asks several more. I did enjoy the author's world and characters. I did get frustrated with the many questions that are never answered - much like the characters in the book feel. It was well written but, as with the other two books, I had to push my through it. I'm done with this series even though there are two more books out. It isn't so much that the subject matter is difficult to read but that the world created has a de ...more

I loved this book, it focused on the trainers so you saw all sides of the coin.I loved the philosophy and it's sent up factions in how the marketplace should be guided which has left me really really looking forward to the next one

my favorite of the marketplace series, this delves more deeply into chris, and also the hardships and deep responsibilities of being a trainer. being on the bottom is often so, so much easier.

The third book in the Marketplace series is about Michael LaGuardia, a trainer in training. I read the last two books a while ago and i wanted to give myself some time between each one because it was a lot to take in in book one. I have to say i enjoyed this one far more than the previous ones. I loved witnessing Michael and his slow change from being an arrogant little know it all to becoming who he truly was all along. Of course, the always present Chris Parker was awesome in this book also, b ...more

The 3rd book in the BDSM classic Marketplace series, and a very interesting story about Michael, a Trainer in Training at the Anderson House, with Chris Parker in attendance.

Lots of introspection; questions abound; and a twist in the tail....which I cottoned on to about 2/3rds the way through, and was quite pleased with by the end.

I learn something new each time I read this book. It reminds me that thinking things through is so important. Sometimes we don't know our path then suddenly it is clear to us. A lot of times it is not a quick process but one that takes experiences and lots of thought to get us to where we will know for certain.

3.75 *. I thought Mr LaGuardia was a bit annoying but loved seeing more of how Trainers were trained and seeing more of CP.

This woman really knows how to write this genre realistically.

This is so far the best of the series. What I love about these books are the characters. They seem very real to me, not just puppets having kinky sex. In this novel, we see the marketplace from a different perspective: that of the trainer. I could not put this one down. Every chapter seemed to have a surprise. Left me breathless!

This series should be read in order if you want to keep up with the characters and their history. It is a highly sexual and scene based book. I love the series and have reread the books because they are so well written.

Definitely the best one of the three first books in this series. Antoniou unfortunately tries to introduce foreshadowing toward the end to link this story to the next one coming and it falls flat. However, the rest of the book is significantly better than the prior two and successfully weaves two stories together, Michael's past and Michael's present. Good story (for a fantasy) that actually has a plot. The best part is possibly that we learn of Chris' perspective on the rescuing Robin incident ...more

This one is not as good as the others sex wise. It is top heavy on talking, feelings, the structure, etc and very little on the sex. Read this one for the nuts and bolts of the world and not for the hot scenes. Very few. This book is still head and shoulders above a lot of the stuff out there but it doesn’t sizzle.

Now I remember. This is when I absolutely fell even more in love with Chris. So glad these finally came to audible.

Not as revealing as I'd hoped. Created more questions than it answered.
Andrea
Not my favorite of the series, but well worth reading
