In Rides Trouble is the second book in the Black Knights series and picks up right where the first book Hell on Wheels left off. To say I enjoyed this story more than the first is an understatement. I felt the characters were more fleshed out and the plot consistent and easy to follow. In Rides Trouble is the second book in Julie Ann Walker’s Black Knights, Inc. series and another fun, sexy read. This story picks up right where the first ended, continuing the emotional standoff between Frank “Boss” Knight and Rebecca “Rebel” Reichart.
Frank is a man tormented by memories of a less than ideal childhood, raised – sort of – by a less than ideal man in a less than ideal environment. Afraid of being the apple that doesn’t fall far from the tree of infidelity, Frank avoids relationsh More...

When Rebecca "Rebel" Reichert and her friend, Eve are kidnapped by Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean, she knows that her rescue is assured. Becky works as a mechanic for Black Knights, Inc, a covert government defence team.
For three and a half years, Frank "Boss" Knight has locked horns with the feisty, little mechanic and as much as he's attracted to her, the age difference of thirteen years makes it just one more reason why he won't make a move on her. Frank's thirty-nine and Becky's twenty- More...

I know the perfect way to describe this book without a single word. Here it goes:

What does it mean? It means that theoretically the book should be good (2+2=5 => more is better than less, right? Imagine that you’ve got three pairs of shoes for the price of two pairs. Christmas sale, yay!) but in reality it doesn’t work because the result is incorrect (they just increased the prise of the first tow pairs of shoes to defray their expenses for the third one, bummer! That’s the marketing, baby!). More...

well, I have to admit I liked this one more than the first book in the series. Becky was such a great heroine. She was strong and smart and sassy. I liked Frank well enough. He wasn't a hero I just swooned over though. I think that's due to the fact that he resisted acting on his feelings for sooooo stinking long. That, and the fact that I had to stop reading mid-book and scroll through the reviews because I thought Frank was cheating on a "significant other" by sleeping with Becky. Th More...

In Rides Trouble is book 2 in Julie Ann Walker’s Black Nights, Inc. series and DAMN Ms. Walker is stepping up her game! I loved this book!

This book picks up where Walker leaves things between Frank and Becky in book 1. Becky is away on vacation while Frank is stewing in his own miserable sorrow back in Chicago. Trouble soon finds Becky and her best friend Eve as they are kidnapped by pirates. No problem, Becky has faith in her “boys” from Black Nights, Inc. She knows they will come for her – esp More...

In Rides Trouble is the second book in the action packed Black Knights, Inc. series. I am completely sold on these books. I absolutely loved book one and was hoping and praying that book 2 would hold up to my expectations. It did NOT disappoint. Just like in the first book the pace is fast, conflicts continue to arise, and sexy alpha men are in abundance.
The synopsis sums up the plot line really well, so I won’t spend a lot of time repeating the s More...

This book continues a story arc from book 1 of the Black Knights series and focuses on Becky Reichart and Frank "Boss" Knight. Frank is the leader of the Black Knights. When Frank began gathering the men for a team, Becky's brother "Wild" Bill was one of the first men to join the team. Thinking Becky's bike shop was a perfect cover, Becky agreed.

This is the second book in the Black Knights Inc series. I listened to the first, Hell on Wheels, on audio, and was disappointed that this book wasn't on audio yet. But in Hell on Wheels, the blossoming relationship of Becky and Frank (aka Boss) was exposed, and I was intrigued enough by the dynamic between these two characters to want to read their book immediately, so I got the Kindle download and read with my eyes.

Another brilliant book by Walker! I knew that Becky and Frank would be a good book, just by watching them in book 1. It was a little slow on the romance department, you know with the whole pirates thing...lol! I wanted to smack some sense into Frank for a good 60% of the book. He was so obviously in love with Becky, I think that him and Becky were the only two people that didn't realize it. I could have done with a little less pirate stuff and more on the relationship, but since we have been wat More...

This was a fun read.
Our heroine (Becky) and her friend Eve get abducted by Somali pirates whilst sailing off the Seychelles. Coming to her rescue are the Black Knights. There are some holes in the rescue that I decided to put under the heading of "not explained" rather than "unbelievable". But she gets rescued by her brother, another 'knight' and the man she wants to call her own Frank "Boss" Knight.
Then we're back state-side and you have the up and down of Becky and Frank relations. This was a More...

Very good book. Frank and Becky have been striking sparks off each other for three years, ever since Frank started using the motorcycle shop as the unit's cover. Becky is a very good mechanic and has learned a lot of the things that the rest of the unit knows. She wants to be part of the team, not just the cover. Frank doesn't want Becky anywhere near the dangerous parts. When she has enough of his attitude, she takes a vacation with a friend and ends up captured by Somali pirates. There's a res More...

I really wanted to like In Rides Trouble and was hoping it was going to be better than Hell On Wheels, but it was not as good as I wanted it to be. I started off enjoying In Rides Trouble as it starts off with a bang and could not turn my e-reader fast enough, but then once the boat scene was done, Becky, Frank and Bill were home the story started dragging. It did pick back up towards the end.
Loved the prologue as it shows how the bike shop became Black Knights cover and the first time Frank an More...

Well... I have to say this book didn't disappoint but I wouldn't have minded more sexy scenes with Becky and Frank.
Ok. if you read Hell on Wheels you knew what was coming to a head for this book. Becky and Frank were both trying desperately not to show how much they wanted each other in the last book and it comes to a head when Frank goes Alpha male on her causing her to decide she needs to get away from his "dillhole" self.

In Book #2 of the Black Knights saga all Frank Knight wants is a place to work that is safe, quiet, and has enough room for all his ex-soldiers to rest, eat and play while in the Chicago area. His friend “Wild Bill” Reichert has a sister who has a place who might let them use most of it. Etc., etc., etc. When they walk into “Becky’s Bad-Ass Bike Builds” Frank thinks Bill has lost it, a terminal case of WTF explodes along with the rock music thumping out of speakers bigger and the motorcycles.

THE END

I expected it, but still, Becky&Frank were to fucking awesome.
Because of course, if Becky doesn't find trouble, trouble will find her and first thing proving this theory, is when Becky goes on vacation with her friend Eve and well she ends up being abducted by pirates.
Funny thing already in first chapter;

Written for: Beyond Dreaming
Julie Ann Walker is setting a rep for herself. In only her second novel, I recognize her witty humor, spot-on, I-know-exactly-what-she's-talking-about descriptions and her mastery of all things 'urban culture'.
In Rides Trouble was a huge success for me and held straight up to it's predecessor Hell on Wheels, the story of sexy Nate "Ghost" Weller and sweet Ali Morgan. In Rides Trouble is all about Frank "Boss" Knight - the head of Black Knights, Inc. and Rebecca "Rebe More...

Frank Knight is the boss of Black Knights, Inc, a covert group of operatives that take kick ass and take names later. He's an ex Navy SEAL who wants to protect those he holds dear while living up to the promise he made as a boy. Problem is, Becky Reichert and the feelings she stirs are making it really hard for him to be the man he thinks he should be.
Becky has had a thing for Frank since the moment she met him. He exasperates her as much as he turns her on, but she also knows that Frank has his More...

An adrenaline-charged tale! Taken from my review at RomanceJunkies.com:
IN RIDES TROUBLE by Julie Ann Walker
For Becky ‘Rebel’ Reichert, trouble seems to seek her. With her own motorcycle shop of masterpieces, she took it in stride when Frank, who is the head of a Special Ops team, decided to invest in her shop and use it as a front for his secret organization. She was immediately attracted to the much older Frank, but he keeps pushing her away. Watching Frank’s guys and their exciting assignment More...

So although IN RIDES TROUBLE redeemed itself by the end, I’m still in shock at the difference I felt in it from HELL ON WHEELS. This definitely didn’t compare.
I really enjoyed the prologue at learning how Frank “Boss” Knight came to set up his secret shop in Rebecca “Rebel” Reichert’s custom bike shop 3 ½ years ago.
In present day the book starts off with a bang as Becky and her rich friend Eve are captured by pirates for ransom, but these pirates have technology on their side and they soon lea More...

Book 2 of Julie Ann Walker's Black Knights Inc. Gotta first say love how it all revolves around kick ass motorcycles. No sissy bikes here. Basically what I envision when I read Walker's books are the motorcycles I grew up around: Harley Davidsons
Had the motorcycles been anything different I honestly could not see myself getting into the series or believing it. But then I am a motorcycle snob only liking HD and choppers.
So this works! Add in some awesome, rememberable characters. Last book we More...

IN RIDES TROUBLE by Julie Ann Walker is an exciting romantic suspense. It is book #2 in the “Black Knights,Inc.” series, but can be read as a stand alone. See, “Hot on Wheels”. It is an edgy, sexy, dangerous story of ex-SEAL,Frank Knight and Becky Reichert, nicknamed “Rebel”. It has everything a romantic suspense reader could possibly want including passion, danger, suspense, trouble with a capital T,motorcycles,an elite special ops team, high sea adventure, love and romance. ABOUT THE BOOK:
Becky "Rebel" Reichert never actually goes looking for trouble. It just has a tendency to find her. Like the day Frank Knight showed up at her door, wanting to use her motorcycle shop as a cover for his elite special ops team. But Becky prides herself on being able to hang with the big boys-she can weld, drive, and shoot just as well as any of them.

This is the second book in a romantic suspense military trilogy, Julie Ann Walker’s In Rides Trouble features a woman afraid of nothing... unless it’s the heated touch of the leader of the Black Knights, a custom chopper shop in downtown Chicago, that isn’t what it seems on the surface.
