If you know how to bake cookies, you can bake muffins! I don't think pictures are a requirement to make this cookbook fabulous, the easy recipes speak for themselves. In my mind (as a "casual" baker), photos just set you up to be disappointed if your finished product doesn't look like the book version. It is a sad fact that many vegetarian and vegan recipe books are ignored by the meat-eating majority partially out of ignorance, uncertainty and even fear of the unknown. This is a shame as good little books such as this, featuring 150 vegan muffin recipes, can fall by the wayside.
Here in a fairly plain, matter-of-fact book the reader is given a lot of interesting variations on a muffin theme (what else would you expect in a book of this kind?) that whilst being suitable for those on a vegan die...more

I made the Gingerbread muffins with a couple of changes...I only used pastry flour and I didn't have clove so I used nutmeg. I made 12 muffins then ran out of paper so I used a loaf pan for the remaining batter and they all were delich......however I think I liked the bread better than the muffins.
Great recipes. The basic muffin recipe is a wonderful blank canvas. So far I have only made the raspberry jam filled muffins but they were quite good!

I do find it a bit odd that the banana walnut recipe has no actual walnuts in it??
