Each time I put my foot down, it sank deeper into trash. The crunch and grind of it all sounded like monsters coming to eat me.
Oh my goodness! The crunching and grinding got louder. So loud, I knew it couldn't be just us.
My hands shook and my feet stopped working right. I didn't want to look behind me.
Then something smacked me in the back of my head! My eyes got all cloudy...more

Lexie World is written from Lexie’s perspective, through the eyes of a five year old girl, who is like most 5 year olds. She adores her big sisters, thinks her parents are the best in the world, but doesn’t quite get the big deal about forgetting to put her things away sometimes. I think the author did a wonderful job keeping the dialogue and thoughts at an appropriate level, staying true to the average youngster of Lexie’s age range, yet not keeping it so simple that kids a few years older woul...more

I received this book free from the author with NO requirements whatsoever to review it. I simply chose to because I felt it deserved one!
This is a book meant for young kids, but as an adult, I still enjoyed it. I definitely recommend this book to those with young kids and I would read this to my future children as well. It was a well written magical story full of fun and adventure but it also teaches a very good lesson. Fun books that teach children a lesson without the kids really realizing th...more

I don't have children, nor am I child, but I thoroughly enjoyed Lexie World! Filled with page after page of stunning imagery and exquisite narration, Kinrade, yet again, pulls us into her world.

The characters are absolutely adorable and I was sad to bid them farewell. Lexie and her friends have some very important lessons to teach children... and adults (yes, even us grownups can take a page from Lexie's book).

Simply put, this book is a MUST BUY for children of all ages.

Lexie was ready to sit down and eat dinner her mom had made her special meatloaf. But mom noticed Lexie did not have her shoes and socks on when she came in the house. Her mom made her go back outside to get her shoes and socks so she would have shoes to wear to school tomorrow. Lexie also had to tell her two older sisters to come inside for dinner. Out she ran in the cold and rain! As they ran back to the house Lexie slipped and fail hitting her head causing her to scream and cry. Her dad ran o...more

I hadn't expect to acutally enjoy reading a book for kids, especially since my own kids are teens and it felt like way back in ancient times that I'd last read one. I have to say that Lexieworld truly delivered. I loved it, enjoyed the character, the voice and the message the book had to tell.
I'd recommend this gorgeously illustrated book for kids 4-9 and I think this will be the book of choice for a few special birthday girls this year!
I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

A sweet book for small children with lots of adventure and a very important message in the end, Lexie World is stocked with full color illustrations and the lovely voice of Lexie herself. The first in a series of three based on a trio of sisters, Lexie World will help kids understand their impact on the environment and what they can do to make the world a better place.
