An adorable bunny family proves that it's always the right time for a hug. After waking up, having breakfast, doesn't everyone enjoy a hug? The rhyming text and colorful illustrations follow the bunnies through the day's activities, but they hug at nine, ten, and all through the rest of the day's activities. Next time someone asks you what time it is, you can respond with a hug. The book has a sweet message as well as showing the affection between a child and a parent. I loved how the older bunn...more
This text has just the right amount of bounce to balance out the super-sweet illustrations...so much bounce that I found myself reading it out loud to my very patient husband as he was making dinner. These bunnies pack a lot of busy into their day but every time is just right for a hug.
Marked as holiday so I remember to pull it out for Valentine's Day.

A bit on the cheesy side, but still cute. A good parent-to-child read--especially if you give lots of hugs throughout. Could work in teaching a child progression in a day. Pictures are so cute--my favorite part!
3/27/13 & 3/28/13 Perfect for the bunny theme. I made a simple clock and did the most simplistic 1-minute teaching of how to tell time. And the kids totally picked up on it! Then I pulled out my special guest--a huge bunny we have in our storytime collection. Hugged him every time it...more

Nice rhyming text and sweet illustrations make this a great one for storytime. Momma and her baby bunny share what they do at certain times of the day, all intermixed with hugs!
Good R2R practice demonstration & skill building, telling time, concept of day to night.

I couldn't decide whether to give this one 3 or 4 stars. I went with 4 because I'm on the prowl for good choices to read aloud in our book babies storytimes (for kids under 2 yrs), and this one seems like it will be a fun one to share.
This is a cute little book with a great flow. It'd be great for preschoolers to work on telling time as well as ways to show their love for one another.
Received a review copy of this adorable book. Wrote a review on Tuesday Tales:

I adore this book. It would be great for multiple story time themes: counting, time, daily routine, teddy bear/stuffed animal...or just for fun.
You know those books that are so cute you just want to hug them? Haha! But yeah, this is definitely one of those. Great rhythm to this one, sweet illustrations, and the story is...well, super cute--but more in a make-you-smile-and-giggle kind of way than in a so-syrupy-you-want-to-gag kind of way...
Possibly use it with Charlotte Diamond's Four Hugs a Day. And having an excuse to hug, every other page, is hilarious.
This book teaches the concept of time and gives the reader time to pause so everyone can get a hug.
