A power packed 127 pages written with the brevity and impact of a 350 page novel. After the ponderous Philo Vance novel this book was a breath of fresh air. Atlee manages to do what Philo Vances's author did not, write a concise and engaging story that makes the reader feel satisfied at the end.

Atlee crams more into a paragraph than most writers could hope to do. I'm sure if Iam Fleming read Atlee, he wished he could write his sparse and shaky Bond books as well. Though this appears to be a sho
