After reading the first book ( Winter, the hybrid commander + Marcus, the Nightwalker Lord Bonding:D), I really want to know more how Luke+Gia n Kara+Dupree relationships would develop, their stories left hanging at the end of Kiss of Darkness. At first, I thought this 2nd book will be about Luke+Gia story coz Gia're kidnapped by Ben (the former commander whom was consumed by his Demon, you must read the first book to know the full story;) ). But Kara+Dupree story would appease my curiosity for ...more

Everyone knows Dupree and Kara are in love. They have been for ages, but they've never done anything about it. Kara is willing, but Dupree has always held back. His soul is merged with a demon --and he uses his advanced physical skills to help humanity fight off the pure demons who would destroy them. Kara wants to merge with a demon, herself. But Dupree hates the idea. He fears for the constant danger she'll be in and is scared that he'll lose her.

I wish I could give two separate ratings for th

Kiss of Twilight was a real treat. Although I haven’t read the first book in the series, I didn’t feel as if I missed a lot, given that the author gave a background of what happened to Dupree and his family. As well as his connection with Kara. It is fast paced, that and the characters were wonderfully drawn. That and the attraction between Dupree and Kara, danger lurking in every corner made this a wonderful read. Yeah it was a bit frustrating to see two people who loved one and couldn’t live w ...more

So not what I kind of thought before first starting this book. I didn't really expect the whole murder mystery kind of genre with this novel. Yeah it was paranormal like I signed up for along with a sexy twist. Don't get me wrong, this was still a good novel but just unexpected.

The connection between the Demon and the person is something we don't see every day. We don't understand the connection as much, until we experience it with Kara. Our knowledge of it with the other characters and their c
I liked the idea of this story. I am all about demons and hunters and I like that the Templar's bond themselves to a demon to become stronger. This story is written from the point of view of Dupree and Kara. I really like when authors do this because I am able to see more of the story and feel more emotions.

Kara was a fun character. She was smart and goal oriented. She could also fight and was willing to do so even if she wasn't as strong as the other Templar's. I liked the back and forth betwee

I was pining for this novel so much after reading Kiss of Darkness, which I loved insanely. Kiss of Twilight starts where the first novel left off and I was sucked into the story all over again.

Dupree and Kara have known each other for a long time and both feel that they are meant to be with each other, but Dupree denies his feelings out of fear for her. This is both hard on her and him and their story focuses on their struggle.
Then there is the fact that Gia, one of the closest friends of Dupre

A creative take on demons and Templars.

Kara has grown up in a world were Templars fight demons and protect the innocent. One of the things she wants is to be a full-fledged member of the Order, the other is to mate with Dupree Jackson. Unfortunately, Dupree is dead set against either of those things happening, despite his love for her.

I liked Kiss of Twilight and my rating might be overly generous, but I have to say that reading this story felt like putting on a comfortable, familiar sweater. Th

Review to come!

I was lucky enough to snag an E-Galley Arc to read and review this book. Get swept away with this story of Passion, lust, betrayal and romance a heady combination when mixed with just the right amount of action (don’t forget the demonically erotic spices) and characters that leap off the page. Loribelle Hunt is able to create more than the typical “princess rolls in mud and gets up covered in sparkles fairytale”, but instead a deep, tension filled story w

I picked this one up from netgalley, without having read the first in the series, Kiss of Darkness. It has a fair amount of world-building, paranormal stuff, which may or may not have come easier if I'd read the first in the series. I personally like a bit of world-building, paranormal stuff, but too much just detracts from the plot and the characters, and it did feel that this one was right on the edge of that. In some places, the paranormal stuff was written with a light touch, just enough to ...more

Favorite Line: “Part of her really wanted to stay to help, but she knew she’d be pretty useless until she went through the merging ceremony.” (p. 28, egalley)

In Loribelle Hunt’s novel, Kiss of Twilight, demons hunt the Earth. An old sect of warriors called the Order of Templar fight for humanity against these evil creatures. However, their strength comes from binding their souls to a half-demon. Only by bonding to someone they love can a Templar avoid succumbing to his evil half.

Paranormal Romance

This book took a while for me to get into and understand what was going on with the characters. After about 100 pages I FINALLY felt like I understood how the world Dupree and Kara lived in actually worked and how the characters related to one another. I wouldn't say the book was slow to start because there was enough action to keep me entertained but I think I may have understood their world better if I has read the first book, Kiss of Darkness.

Yet another book that I didn't realise was a sequel, so I now have to go buy the first book in the series since I liked this one so much. The story was very well told and nicely paced and the characters were well written, although there were a lot that got the spotlight.

From what I can gather of the first book and this book, I think I can see what couple is going to be the focus of the 3rd book. I really loved Dupree and Kara, and even though their relationship was written very will-they-won't-t

As a native of the South, is it any wonder Loribelle has a love of storytelling? She started writing seriously as a teenager and finished her first manuscript, a mystery, when she was nineteen. After a few bumps along the way and stints as an Army MP, a waitress, a book store manager, a student, and a wedding photographer, she turned to writing full time. Now she divides her time between a husband ...more
