The fourth book in the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis. Ms Shalvis has a way with putting a story together. She is able to draw her readers in and not let go until the end and even then leaves us begging for more. More Ty! Give us more!!!!

Alex O'Loughlin as Ty

★★★★½ (This is a review of the audiobook.) Young, old, male, female, Suehyla El Attar does a great job delivering the variety of voices in the fourth installation of this series. She also balances Ms. Shalvis’ unique ability to be light and fluffy and still deal with heavy topics.
I had to return to Lucky Harbor for more of these characters, if only to find out the identity of “Mysterious Cute Guy” – and with whom he connects. In fact, I got it as soon as it became available...more

Jill's Lucky Harbor series continues to get better with EVERY BOOK I READ. It isn't often that a series doesn't start to lose me after 3 or 4 books. In fact, I really like that these stories continue in Lucky Harbor, but Lucky in Love is the start of a brand new trilogy within this series--The Chocoholics; Mallory, Amy, and Grace! Such a fun trio!

Typical Jill Shalvis for sure, but "Typical Jill Shalvis" makes me go to three stores until I can find it on the shelf early and then I proceed to blow everything and everyone off until I've devoured it... so yeah...
This is right up there with Simply Irresistable and the lovely Jax. I think it might have surpassed it actually. Contemporary romance doesn't get better than this in my estimation. The chocoholic group was really great (liked it better than the trio of sisters), and I l...more

I think I liked this one better than the first 3 books. The story was a little meatier, and the setting is more involved with the town this time instead of being confined so much to the B & B as the others were.
Mallory is the local good girl, an RN who is looking to take a little walk on the wild side for a change. Ty is wild side she takes the walk with; the 'mysterious cute guy' that we first met in Head Over Heels. I like these kinds of stories; the wounded hero who is unable to commit to...more

Jill Shalvis' Lucky Harbor series continues with three books for 2012. Lucky in Love focuses on Mallory, a nurse who lives her life to help others and Ty, a former Navy SEAL who is in Lucky Harbor to recuperate from an injury.
There are no surprises in this book. Jill Shalvis knows her readers, she knows what we want and that's what she gives us. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. A great book for a rainy night in front of the fire. I have the rain, I just need the fire.

We’re back in Lucky Harbor, this time following three women, all friends, who bond and meet over chocolate. Not a bad way to handle things, at all. Mallory is the first friend up and she’s the ultimate care taker. She’s a nurse, so it’s her job as well as in her general nature to help people. She’s also hoping to start up a new health care clinic to provide care and education to people who have no place else to go. She’s the “sane” member of her family, h...more

After a bit of a slow start (setting up the new trilogy), this one really ended up being one of my favorite Lucky Harbor books. Ty and Mallory--with their tragic pasts--were both natural caretakers, and it was wonderful to see them take care of each other, and ultimately themselves. Their relationship was combustible and sexy, but also at times just really sweet. Lucky Harbor was quirky and fun as ever, but I really enjoyed seeing that it isn't just this idyllic little town untouched by the worl...more
As bad as Simply Irresistible.
I'm sensing A Pattern here. Every three books, there's gonna be a martyr-type, doormat heroine (Maddie and Mallory), a fun-loving, reckless heroine (Chloe and Amy), and a sweet, responsible one (Tara and Grace).
Likewise, a rough, All-American hero (Ford and Matt), a perfect guy (Jax and Ty), and a straight-and-narrow one (Sawyer and Josh).
So I'm not surprised I didn't like Lucky in Love. Hopefully Amy and Grace's books will be better, and with less unnecessary dra...more

Just when I think that Jill Shalvis can not out do herself, I’m proven wrong. Lucky in Love is a funny, witty and entertaining romance set in a richly warm small town.
Mallory Quinn is sick of being the town’s good girl. Every one expects the best of her and why shouldn’t they? She has always tried her best to be the dependable one in her family and that’s saying a lot since her family is not short of crazy. After making a pact with her girlfriends, she vows to find her inner bad girl and let her...more

Another fantastic installment in the Lucky Harbor Series with one of the sexiest heroes I've read!

Another fantastic book!!! I can't get enough of Jill Shalvis. It was light, funny, sweet and everything in between. Mallory and Ty are amazing. If you read the previous books in the series and are a fan, or any of her other books, you will love this book just as much. If this is your first, you are in for a treat and will soon be hooked just like the rest of us.
Can be read as a stand alone since it reads almost like it's the first of a new series (since it sort of is) :) Enjoy!

After years of being the safe one in her family, Mallory has decided to walk on the wild side. That wild side happens to come in the package of the new hot and mysterious guy in town, Ty. One quick time with Ty isn’t nearly enough for her and soon she’s finding that she is falling for him. But Ty has problems and he’s not staying in Lucky Harbor forever. He’s just passing through and when he leaves, it’s sure to be with Mallory’s heart.

I really enjoy the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis. The first three books centered around three sisters, each finding love. Now Jill Shalvis turns the attention of the series to three girlfriends, and their quest to help each other in the romance department. Over one stormy night, though, along with two other girls -- Amy, the tough no non-sense waitress and Grace, the new girl in town -- who bonded with her through their love of chocolate, Mallory decides that she needs to do something with her love life. If she cannot keep Mr. Right, she will date a Mr. Wrong. Ty Garrison a.k.a. Mysterious Cute Guy, seems to fit the bill. No longer a SEAL medic, Ty is i...more
Jill Shalvis is pretty much an insta-buy author for me. She’s never disappointed me, regardless of which contemporary setting she’s chosen to set her book in. Lucky in Love is set in Lucky Harbor, near enough to Seattle that it’s plausible to go there for a night out, but far enough away to have a small town Mayberry feel to it. This includes neighbors who are extremely nosy and everyone being in everyone else’s business.
