Inbetween (Kissed by Death #1)
by
Tara A. Fuller (Goodreads Author)
Since the car crash that took her father’s life three years ago, Emma’s life has been a freaky — and unending — lesson in caution. Surviving “accidents” has taken priority over being a normal seventeen-year-old, so Emma spends her days taking pictures of life instead of living it. Falling in love with a boy was never part of the plan. Falling for a reaper who makes her che...more

Your Life Has Just Begun, Again...
3.5 stars. Finn doesn't fit the "reaper" stereotype. This former WWII fighter pilot turned undead escort is just another guy stuck in the inbetween. It's too bad the love of his life has been reincarnated back into the world of the living and she seems to be unable to avoid nearly missing death over and over. I guess that's what happens when ....CRAP... I can't say anything else or it will be a massive spoiler!
You'll just have to trust me that the plot twist...more
They say the dead can't sleep, can't dream. But as I stood there lost with wanting, I couldn't help but wonder when I was going to wake up.
Wow! What a pleasant surprise and huge shocker considering I've never thought to pick up a book about reapers. So glad I was invited on this blog tour because I truly enjoyed Inbetween by Tara Fuller.
Never have I thought I'd fall this hard for a reaper. I mean how can you drool or squee over a guy that wields a scythe and transports souls to their next dest...more

Oh where do I begin with this review? There are just so many things I loved about this book from the swoon worthy characters to the amazing plot and the author's awesome writing style. This book just makes me want to say AWWWWWWWW! I mean, there's some action, there's some paranormal stuff going on, but basically I love Finn and Emma. It's so hard for them, so you really want to root for them! This was the ARC so it needs some editing, but I really enjoyed this story more than I thought I would! I was actually hooked early on, since little by little information is revealed about the two of them. You learn more and more as you read, and it's addicting. You...more

Good points:
At first, I wasn't going to even read this book. Reapers? I wasn't so sure. But when I got a chance to read the e-ARC, I jumped at the chance.
And I don't regret it. Inbetween was amazing.
I loved that it was from a girl's point of point, then a guy's. And Tara did an awesome job of telling both parts!! <3
Emma, even though her dad has died, and "accidents" keep happening to her, she still goes around, still trying to live life.
Finn was awesome. The best hero ever. I loved him. An...more

I'm not usually into reaper boy-human girl story. I remember reading some but not many. I don’t really have problem with them but I wasn’t really that inclined to pick them up. Still, when I saw the blurb of Inbetween there something about it that had me hooked. I was intrigued and interested and very curious to find out the story of Finn and Emma. So I was really glad when I was able to join a blog tour for this book and got a review copy of it.

I absolutely loved this book! The story is addictive, and I was unable to put this book down once I started reading it. Inbetween has an intriguing premise, an engaging writing style, and delightful characters. Fuller offers a captivating take on reapers and the afterlife in this emotional paranormal romance for teens.

/Inbetween is such a nice story. I read it what felt like one quick sitting. It just flew by. It was such a nice love story and the world of the reapers and the inbetween was really cool!
Finn is just adorable. I can't imagine anyone not liking him. He is just like a cute little puppy. Who doesn't like puppies? He just seemed so inherently good. I loved seeing him interact with Emma. It was an interesting, fast & enjoyable read! I was not sure what to expect going into this book BUT i was not disappointed at what I found. It was filled with love, danger, regret & of COURSE, DEATH. Always their to ruin the mood.
The world of the afterlife in Inbetween is really cool, I mean if you go with Anaya; who is a reaper for Heaven. SO Hell has to have a reaper too BUT then their is the inbetween which i liked their being a place for souls to...more

OMG.....The book has just blown me away. I have never been through such an emotional journey before and trust me I doubt I will ever do. It was just a wonderful and heart aching bitter sweet love story that almost made me cry. The storytelling and the ways of representing was beyond brilliant, and praise worth skills of painting inner turmoil of each character.

I could hardly put Inbetween down! It was breath taking! The reapers’ world was so full of intrigue and the plot of a soul’s revenge was captivating. One step into this novel’s pages, and I was hooked.
But it was the characters were what really made the story delightful. They were all wonderful! Though I’ll admit, Finn would not be considered as one of my major book crushes in this novel. Those would actually be the secondary characters: Cash and Easton. But Finn was definitely one of my favorite...more

I found Inbetween to be cute and clever, and although it wasn't completely original (what is these days, right?), it was still a very fun read. It was engrossing to the point that I'd find myself skimming larger passages to read ahead and find out what happened, only to have to go back and re-read those sections to ensure I hadn't missed anything. I love when a book has me in its clutches like that, but I als...more

Inbetween is a fresh and exciting new take on reapers and true love. Fed-up of vampires and werewolves but still want to read a heart-racing paranormal story? Inbetween is for you.
After Emma survived a car crash three years ago, her life has been filled with never-ending "accidents". Right now, Emma is seventeen-years-old and trying to keep herself sane by focusing on school. But when Finn turns up out of nowhere, Emma feels a tug of familiarity. Finn is the boy who saved her from the car crash,...more

I really liked this book. It was a fun read. I normally don't read books about afterlife and death because they always seem to go to much into religion, but this book managed to surprise me. This story was really fun to read. So because I feel the need to go into a bit more depth I gave this book 4.5 stars, but rounded down because only my absolute favorite books get five stars, and while this book was amazing, I didn't like it as much as I liked, say Harry Potter. So basically my point is this...more
Oh, I really, really enjoyed this book. I think it was the whole reaper thing that drew me in when I read the back. Honestly though, some of the things that happened, I'm not sure I'm okay with. Mostly one thing, really: what Finn did to Cash. Between the two, I liked Cash better. So excited for his and Anaya's story! I loved this book, a lot. :) Even though the ending was happy, I'm still a little shocked at Finn's decision, the choice he makes. It took a little bit of the happy out of the endi...more
'Please forgive me for this, pretty girl.
Gosh, I absolutely loved this book. In the beginning I had to get into the world of reapers a little bit (jup first reapers book for me), but throughout the whole book things about Finn's world are explained so that makes it a lot easier.
I think I like all the characters, really, well maybe besides Maeve, but further on they are all great and well basically all so human (though half of the characters isn't anymore). Everything is described very well and a...more

Here's the thing about Inbetween by Tara Fuller, I didn't dislike it, but I didn't really love it either. I finished the book feeling pretty indifferent about the entirety of the book, not becoming emotionally attached or invested to the characters or the story at all.

love reapers and a story where love can surpass heaven and hell. Yep, I’ am a sucker for that kind of story. So when I saw In Between, I know that I have to read it. The story is gripping and downright sad. The love story will definitely give you heartache.
The plot kind of reminds me of Fallen but with reapers on it. Despite the similarities, this book is unique on its own. Okay, I’ll start telling you the plot without any spoilers. Emma’s life is quite difficult,...more

I struggled with this book. There some things that I really loved about it but some things that just couldn't hold my attention. I really enjoyed the male characters in this story but I just couldn't bring myself to really care all that much for Emma. Which is a shame because she is the main character. I do believe this is the reason it took me so long to finish this book.

Finn is a reaper for the Inbetween. The Inbetween is kind of a sorting ground for souls. Finn remembers what it was like to be human, which is probably why he ends up in so much trouble. After a mistake years ago, Finn ends up with reaps that are designed to teach him a lesson. What that lesson is, he's not quite sure. Now he's ghostly stalking Emma, who's the reincarnation of Allison. Allison, is Finn's old love from the Inbetween. Finn also had Allison jump the line on reincarnation, taking th...more

I really liked Inbetween! The story itself, was pretty nice. I enjoyed reading about the different characters, especially Finn and Emma. They both in ways, are different, and reading from both of their POVs was really great and I think necessary because it's both of their story. The girl, Allison, whom Finn has loved for years is not with him anymore, because now she is living as... Emma, and even after saving her from a car crash that unfortunately took her father, two years later, he is still...more
I've read stories based on the wonders of paradise where all those who are good, pure and kind go. I have also encountered plots that spoke of hell where evil awaits to exact timeless justice on those who have done wrong. But I've never read of the Inbetween before. A grey realm where young souls have a shelf life of a few years, before being sorted between heaven or hell. A very unlikely place for a very impossible love to be born.
