So, I have to say I really, really like this short. I loved how it was set up in a diary or (journal) style, and "Dear J" that is awesome! The readers are allowed to see more of who Allie is on the inside, how her mind works. We learn about her struggles and the choices she made that lead her to the dark place of addiction, and not just any addiction but to vampire venom. This is a companion Novelette of The Legacy of Kilkenney. It is a great quick read that gives you insight into Allie's mind and feelings as she becomes a pawn in a supernatural game. Allie is the sister of Abel Casey, the prophesied Great Wolf. I really did not enjoy this. It felt nothing like the other books in the series and kind of left a bitter taste in my mouth about reading future books in the series.
