I recieved this from NetGalley for a honest review. I would like to thank the Penguin Group USA for the chance to read this amazing book. This has been a series I love to read and seem to fall more and more in love with. This 4th book in this series continues the greatness that if you have read the other books you come to grow and expect.

Gray has to be one of my favorite characters so far in this series. He is hot, loyal to those he cares about and very passionate about what he believes in and...more

Gray Donohue is on a mission, and nothing will stop him.

Even love.

Gray is an Impure, a half human, half vampire. In Eternal Blood he discovered that the Order is blood castrating Impures so they can't reproduce. The Order is made up of ten ancient vampires who rule over Purebloods and Impures. Gray's mission, and his team's, is to bring down the Order, stop the blood castrations, and gain rights for the Impures.

Dillon is a mutore, a Pureblood vampire and shape-shifter. A beast. Because of a rece...more

This review was originally posted on my blog, Darkest Sins.

Of all the men in this series, Gray Donohue was the last one I was expecting to find so... so... wildly-freaking-awesome! My knees give up a little (too much) just thinking about this hot fighter who's not hot just because of his handsome presence, but for being such a strong believer of the equality of the species, too. Yes, that is sexy as much as his primal need for Dillon. A constant and uncontrollable impulse that makes your reading...more

ETERNAL BEAST (Mark of the Vampire #4) by Laura Wright

ETERNAL BEAST is the fourth novel (August 2012 release) in Laura Wright’s Mark of the Vampire series and, Gray and Dillon’s story. MOTV features pureblood vampires, impures (1/2 human/1/2 vampire) and an assortment of terms found at the beginning of each storyline and novel. Throughout the series, Laura has teased us with bits of information about Gray and the tragedies that have unfolded in his life. Eternal Beast will prove that Gray is mor...more

Eighty two pages in - OMG! So laughing over the scene between Lucian - the lovable a@$hole - and the mutore! Oh man the entire interaction had me cracking a smile!

Luca and Phane! Oh man it seems Luca found the ideal peeps to sharpen his verbal taunts on! And the mutore takes them with ease.

And it's grate to see Nicholas with Kate, Alexander with Sara, and Lucian with Bronwyn - along with their little baby girl! And the way Lucian took to fatherhood. Awww moment!!

On page 152 - Dillion is such a b...more

I had high hopes for this book. The romance between Gray and Dillon has been teasing me for ages. Both main characters have a great tortured history, so I expected angst, passion, and a whopping dose of sexual tension. What I got was... a bit of disappointment.

As the story begins, Dillon is stuck in her beast form of a jaguar. She thinks the only way she will be able to return to her vampire form is to kill the senator behind the beating that prompted her change. Instead, Gray ends up killing hi...more

Even though I've loved this series from the first book, I was almost afraid to read this one. It seemed like Gray and Dillon wouldn't have much of a romance left to write since their romance has teased us from the first book. I have to admit (gladly) that my fears were unfounded. This book builds beautifully on the first three and brings more in for future stories.

The ending was the perfect lead in to the next story and I can't wait to read it! I've been hoping that the mutore would get their o...more

I will be honest--if I could have skipped this book, I probably would have, even though I loved the first 3 books in this series. I did not care for either the H or the h in earlier books--or in their novella, but knew that in order to keep up with the larger story, I needed to read this one. I can admit that I like them each a wee bit better after this book but I still find Gray self-centered and dismissive of his family, and I still find Dillon to be a raving beeyotch (I get that she was traum...more

I LOVED this book and the others that come in the series! Its rare to find a book that has so much surprises around every corner, always keeping you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what's next. This book is full of drama, suspense, love, humour and super sexy scenes that make you want a Paven or Impure of your own ;)

Most romances end with declarations of love and maybe family gatherings, that happens with this series too but then BAM!! something pops up at the last minute that make...more

Laura Wright has written a love story in "Eternal Beast" that will have you mesmerized. If you are into vampires and love stories that embrace the supernatural, this story is for you. Both main characters are incredibly intense, they are extremely protective, and they are also passionate. The result of Gray and Dilllon's connection is explosive and romantic. There are layers of sub-plots. The reader learns more about the beasts Lycos, Helo, Phane & Erion. Characters from Wright's previous no...more

This was a was a good book but not as good as the first three. The first books spent more time on the main couple. I didn't feel the connection between Dillon and Gray that I felt in the previous books. It did set things up nicely for the next book, though. In fact I think this was a gateway book for Dillon's muture (beast) brothers to have their own books.

I am looking forward to Erion's book due out next Spring. Yes I will still read the next one. Ms. Wright is a wonderful writer and this seri...more

I really wanted to give this 4.5 stars as it was the best one yet and WHAT AN ENDING!! Holy cliffhanger, Batman. Now I gotta wait til may '13?? Oh well, gives me something to look forward to. Loved the Gray/Dillon struggle and action. I am still not happy with certain derogatory words used in a romantic/sensual way (which is the primary reason for the lack of a fifth star). The characters in this book were more 'believable' and I'm not sure if that's because the writing got crisper of I've gotte...more

definitely a must read -- I love all of Laura's books -- I'm sure this one won't disappoint.

Gray & Dillon's story. Gray is Sara's brother who was in a coma-like state after a fire. She tried to heal him. Dillon is the sister of Helo the water beast, Phane the hawk, Lycos the wolf. As usual, Laura Wright twisted and turned and surprised me with her world. I admit that at one point, I got confused but I re-read the part and realized I saw something the second time that I didn't see the first time. I love this world and the characters and I caught myself cheering for the mutores and t...more

Eternal Beast is Laura’s 4th book in the Mark of the Vampire series… well 5th if you count an ebook novella! This series is about Vampires, Impures ( ½ vampire ½ human) and just recently we were even introduced to Vampire Shape Shifters, who are called Mutore. All are ruled by a strict and in some cases evil body of ancient vampires called The Order. This book is about Gray Donahue, an impure who only recently found out that he wasn’t fully human. He has become the leader of the Resistance and t...more

Ever since the first novel in the Mark Of The Vampire series, Laura Wright has been able to draw me in to an exciting world populated with a multidimensional cast of characters. From the first moment Dillon and Gray made their entry in to this series they pulled at my heartstrings. Their turmoil, their life force, their attitude, it all appealed to me. Gray and Dillon have their premise told during the first four books and it contained a promise for their own story. While Eternal Beast can be re...more

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Michelle L. Olson:

The discovery of MARK OF THE VAMPIRE will always be a highlight for me. Eternal Hunger was the 1st book of LITERAL ADDICTION's 2nd Reading Event when we were still just a tiny Paranormal BookClub with 8 members. As time has progressed, so has the series, and so has my love for both it and Laura!

Immediately upon finishing this book my exact thoughts were: "Holy cow! Smokin' hot & action packed - an amazing read!" :)

Ahhh the wonderful Laura Wright has done it again. She has made me fall in love with her Mark of the Vampire series all over again. I was very excited about Gray & Dillon's book and it really lived up to what I hoped and dreamed it would be. I will not give too much away, but........

From the very first time we meet these two back in Eternal Hunger (bk 1) I knew they were going to be a fun couple to read about. Both have been through hell and back in their lives. Each...more

Allow me to begin by saying that Laura Wright is one of my favorite authors! I LOVE the “Mark of the Vampire” series and have been eagerly awaiting Gray’s story from the very beginning! Though “Eternal Beast”, the fourth book in the series, can be read as a standalone book, I would definitely suggest you read the entire series from start to finish! It truly is a fantastic series! This includes the e-novella “Eternal Blood”, which I recommend you read before “Eternal Beast”. Again, just a suggest...more

I was so excited to finally be able to read Eternal Beast. Waited a while and it was worth it. Another amazing story by Ms. Wright. This one was centered around Gray and Dillon.

And what a story it was. Full of so much action, drama, humor and very romantic sizzling scenes. I have to say it was one of my favorites so far.

Reading about Dillon's past helped me understand why she's so closed off and untrusting of everyone. I can totally sympathize with her. What a horrible past. It's amazing she's b...more

I loooove this series & I love Gray ;)

Eternal Beast is the 4th book in Mark of the Vampire series, and I swear, each book just gets better and better! I have been anxiously awaiting Gray’s book since book 1. I’ve just been drawn to him from being the mysterious brother of Sarah who went through such a tragic event that locked him in his mind and nonspeaking, to his mind being unlocked and discovering and having to deal with being an Impure Vampire to finding out secrets about his own family...more

All I can say is WOW!! After I read Eternal Captive, the third book in the MARK OF THE VAMPIRE Series, I thought "it just can't get any better than this"! Then I was extremely lucky and got to read Laura's upcoming release, Eternal Beast very early and Hot Damn!! Laura Wright has done it again and totally blew me away. This book is by far the EPIC book of the series and everything changes in the world of the Purebloods, Impures and Mutores.

In the enovella "Eternal Blood" Gray learned that his fa...more

LOVE my Roman brothers, but Gray and Dillon's story was a fabulous read and a great addition to the series.

I loved the main couple's back-and-forth, it was a bit like a cat and mouse game between them. Interesting and heart-wrenching at times to read. Written with Wright's sexy flare and style, along with enough action sprinkled throughout to keep you on the edge. The Roman brothers are securely entwined in Eternal Beast's plot and it was wonderful seeing more of the family dynamics and develop...more

How to even start this review without sounding like a fangirl......First, let me just make a few points clear:
a) I've been waiting not very patiently for Dillon and Gray to get their book since they first met.
b) Dillon is my favorite heroine in this series.
c) Gray is my favorite hero in this series.

All that could mean I'm totally biased when I say this but... ETERNAL BEAST is the best in the series! Laura Wright did my two favorite characters j...more

One of the things I absolutely love about Laura Wright is her ability to give us a complete story. Each of her books may focus on a different couple, but all the characters are involved in the plot in some way and the overall story arc has had a continuous flow from book one and takes the books to a whole other level.

Dillon and Gray have been the couple I have been waiting for. I was not sure it was ever going to happen though because Dillon is so stubborn! She has had a very difficult past tho...more

This was a really good books. I put off reading it because I didn't think Gray's story could be half as good as the others because he is an impure vampire, therefore not as powerful or in my case, not as interesting as the pures. (Guess I am guilty of predjudice, too) However, I was very wrong. Gray has his own power and appeal. Dillon, who is a mangy old shifter vampire, is his lifemate and she fights the attraction. All in all, this is a fabulous book.

The fourth book in the Mark of the Vampire series, the story of Gray and Dillon. This story continues on from Elernal Blood (book 2.5) where we got a little taste of these two starting to get together.
Gray and D are very interesting charter and there story unfolds with the continuing flowing of this series world and struggles. There was a lot in this book, from the past and in the present. I felt I had a good grasp on the main characters by the end of the book, I wasn't left with heaps of unans...more

In Laura Wright’s fourth installment of her Mark of the Vampire series, Gray Donahue is as committed as ever to his calling as leader of the Impure Resistance. But he is unable to resist the lure of Dillon when she comes to him in need of his touch to gain control of her shift. Dillon is by far my favorite character, so I went into her tale cautiously tempering my expectations so I wouldn’t be disappointed. I was happy to discover there was no need. Wright wove a story to match Dillon’s fierce i...more
