The past few years have held more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner could ever have anticipated. Yet from the dizzying highs of first love, to the agonizing low of losing someone close to her, the one thing she can no longer deny is that she was never meant to live a normal life.

Since discovering the special role she plays among the other angel-bloods, Clara has been...more

Our Boundless Interview & ARC Giveaway with Cynthia Hand is up!

This review is spoiler-free, and safe even if you haven't read the first two books in the series. (But if you haven't--sheesh, what are you waiting for?!)

After waiting for Boundless for so long, I was strangely nervous about reading it. When the package arrived, I literally hugged it for a full minute because I knew what was inside! All day long, I was scared to even peek at the first page, so it wasn't until after midnight that...more

It's always a sad day when I must say goodbye to a series that I've come to love over the years. You feel so invested in the characters that you just don't want it to be over. But what's really the nail biter is the concern of the final book ending on a high note. Will it meet your expectations? Will it be just a satisfying conclusion? Will it completely suck? I mean, who wants to remember a series thinking, "Awww, man! This series was great... until the author blew it in...more

Oh Tucker! GO BACK, CLARA! GET YOUR SKINNY ANGEL BUTT TO HIM RIGHT NOW. OR I WILL KILL YOU.

And now, I'm going to faint from the rollercoaster ride that was book two.

I stayed up all night finishing this last night. The ending was perfection but I took away one star because I was so bored and annoyed for most of the book because it was all Christian. I really can't say much about how I feel about the book without spoilers so... Don't read this unless you want to know who she ends up with. I knew before I started so I understand needing to know.

So. Here we are at last.

I don't know why good-byes are called good-byes, and I don't want to say it to this series. I don't want to. I don't.

In the desolate, barren land of YA angel fiction, the Unearthly series is like a beacon of light. A clara lux in obscuro, better yet. It is beautiful. It is heartwarming. And it may just be one of the paranormal series' I've read that I am extremely, emotionally invested on.

That's the...more

There was pain. There was amazing romantic moments. There was more pain. But in the end, it was an AMAZING and beautiful conclusion to this trilogy.

Here's my full review (spoilers ahead):

Ok, you guys I’m ready to speak. I’m ready to shout it out to each and every one concern how much this book disappoints me. I know it’s unfair to judge and rate it on who Clara ended up with. It is totally and utterly unfair. But the story did treat the ‘one I preferred for her’ the exact same way. I wish that he wasn’t that understanding. I wish he did something awful. I wish he wasn’t that supportive of her. I wish there’s something negative to say about...more

Before reading: I hope Clara chooses Christian, because I want Tucker all to myself!

Now: I love this book(and series) with all my heart, my only complaint is that it had an end!(cries)

Even if Tucker's taken, I'll still have a chance with Christian, right?

I don't want to die. Not now.

This is a fairly spoiler-free review (outside of the tags), but there are some spoilers in the comments, so avoid the comments if you havent' read this.

That ending! If only I could tell you my thoughts about the ending!

For the most part, I think Ms. Hand did alright. I shamefully admit to being something of a whiny brat about the early direction of Boundless. There's such a thing as a comfort zone and I was not in it for the first...more

After Reading:
It's difficult to say what I think about this book.
I made it quite obvious that I am on Team Tucker.
So if I start ranting and bursting into tears (view spoiler)[Although I did burst into tears when Cynthia Hand almost pulled an Andrea Cremer (you probably have no idea what that is...) (hide spoiler)] you might assume that Clara chose Christian.
If I get all bubbly and happy, you might assume that Clara chose Tucker.
Let's just say that this book gave me all the feels.

Oh,my. This book was such an emotional roller coaster. It made me tear up a couple of times. I can't explain how much I loved it. And it's finally finished. There won't be anymore Tucker and Clara barn and fishing scenes, Christian acting like a knight in shining armour, Jeffrey going on my nerves and being a watchdog, Angela's big mouth, broody goth we call Samjeeza and scenes from the...more

Okay, I have been terrible at getting reviews done, lately. Just terrible. Gosh, I read this almost two months ago, and my to-review pile is starting to verge on terrifying. Once again.

Well, even though I read this ages ago, I'm going to try to review it as best as I can. First, for the fangirling portion of our review:

*ahem* Anyway, I kind of have a feeling Clara will still end up with Tucker even after everything that is revealed and happens in Hallowed. *shrugs* I'm Team Christian myself, but since I like Clara so much, I know she wouldn't make a stupid decision (whether she chooses Christian OR Tucker). For once, I'm not going to let the love triangle thing bother me, and I'm sure I will enjoy this book just as much as I enjoyed Unearthly and Hallowed, because Cynthia Hand is a great writer, and even...more

I'm crying happy, fat and semi-ugly tears right now because I can't believe this beautiful series is over.

I can't count how many times this book has brought me to a near heart attack. My anxiety level just went all over the place. It was so erratic, I just want to roll around in the floor like a dog and never stop. Yeah, that's one pretty picture.

While I did love this, I can't bring myself to give it more than three stars. I did love it, but I was also a bit disappointed as compared to Hallowed. Review to come once I've had time to sort out my thoughts.

Sorry, I tried, but I just don’t get the appeal. I’ve heard lots of good things ever since Unearthly and I certainly understand the praise - in an angel paranormal landscape littered with train wrecks like Silence, Halo, and Hush, Hush, Boundless is far from terrible. Still, when I’m looking at the story, all I see are the same generic concepts as pretty much every other book in the genre, just better done. That’s great for people who actually enjoy reading about romantic woes, love triangles, a...more

It’s always hard for me to say goodbye to a series..
To know that I’ll never meet again the characters I got to know so well, I’ll never live with them new adventures, there will be no more secrets to discover (in this case no more dreams to haunt us), there will be no cliffhanger to keep me waiting for another book…
But there is still this wonderful story that we leave behind, one that made us happy and terribly sad, one that made our eyes tear of emotion and ours hearts fill with joy, one that...more

It is very rare for me to not write a review for a book immediately after I am finished reading it, but with the Unearthly series, that waiting in inevitable. It has been proven quite difficult for me to write reviews for this trilogy in the past - in fact, my "review" for the first one is a gif from Billy Madison and a few words - and I have literally no clue as to how I am going to write this review, especially putting into co...more

Kudos, Ms. Hand – you’ve done it again. I’ve never liked love triangles. Come to find out that I never liked poorly executed triangles, because here is a series with a prominent triangle and I LOVED it. Book 1, I loved Tucker. Book 2, I loved Christian. Book 3, no comment. ^_^

Let’s face it, though. Clara had to choose and o...more

Hey, would you like at that. I'm actually posting something for a book that didn't come out yet. A book I haven't read, but I know I'm going to freakin' love anyway. As long as Clara and Tucker get back together, that is.

The Unearthly series is one of my all-time favorites so it was with bittersweet feelings that I picked up Boundless. I was excited to see how it ends, but knew I’d be saying goodbye to beloved characters and a moving story. I am mostly satisfied with the conclusion.

We pick up right where Clara, Angela, and Christian are off to Stanford to start their freshman year of college. Both Clara and Christian are having a new and disturbing vision and Clara wonders if she’ll ever have a chance...more

I must say, Cynthia Hand had her crwative hand play with my mind again. Wow. While I don't remember much of the scenes from the last two books, but I can still absolutely and certainly say that this was he best among the three in terms of the action, the unexpected twists in the story and all that jazz. I like how Cynthia Hand finds a way to execute a moving, driven and fueled scene and the aftershock scene of that event is unexpected, and the way she found loops in the holes is amazing. I hope...more
