The past few years have held more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner could ever have anticipated. Yet from the dizzying highs of first love, to the agonizing low of losing someone close to her, the one thing she can no longer deny is that she was never meant to live a normal life.

Since discovering the special role she plays among the other angel-bloods, Clara has been

Our Boundless Interview & ARC Giveaway with Cynthia Hand is up!

This review is spoiler-free, and safe even if you haven't read the first two books in the series. (But if you haven't--sheesh, what are you waiting for?!)

After waiting for Boundless for so long, I was strangely nervous about reading it. When the package arrived, I literally hugged it for a full minute because I knew what was inside! All day long, I was scared to even peek at the first page, so it wasn't until after midnight that

It's always a sad day when I must say goodbye to a series that I've come to love over the years. You feel so invested in the characters that you just don't want it to be over. But what's really the nail biter is the concern of the final book ending on a high note. Will it meet your expectations? Will it be just a satisfying conclusion? Will it completely suck? I mean, who wants to remember a series thinking, "Awww, man! This series was great... until the author blew it in

And now, I'm going to faint from the rollercoaster ride that was book two.

Oh and Christian?

Here's my full review (spoilers ahead):

Ok, you guys I’m ready to speak. I’m ready to shout it out to each and every one concern how much this book disappoints me. I know it’s unfair to judge and rate it on who Clara ended up with. It is totally and utterly unfair. But the story did treat the ‘one I preferred for her’ the exact same way. I wish that he wasn’t that understanding. I wish he did something awful. I wish he wasn’t that supportive of her. I wish there’s something negative to say about
I stayed up all night finishing this last night. The ending was perfection but I took away one star because I was so bored and annoyed for most of the book because it was all Christian. I really can't say much about how I feel about the book without spoilers so... Don't read this unless you want to know who she ends up with. I knew before I started so I understand needing to know.

Yes, Josh, you are right. That cover is gorgeous.

My, God, it has a title now?! Excuse me while I weep in impatience...

Oh, the agony!!! Why must it be so long?! *sobs*

*sniff, sniff* I can't believe it's over. :(

So. Here we are at last.

I don't know why good-byes are called good-byes, and I don't want to say it to this series. I don't want to. I don't.

In the desolate, barren land of YA angel fiction, the Unearthly series is like a beacon of light. A clara lux in obscuro, better yet. It is beautiful. It is heartwarming. And it may just be one of the paranormal series' I've read that I am extremely, emotionally invested on.

That's the main thing I love about this series, really, is that it's so real. The w
There was pain. There was amazing romantic moments. There was more pain. But in the end, it was an AMAZING and beautiful conclusion to this trilogy.

This is a fairly spoiler-free review (outside of the tags), but there are some spoilers in the comments, so avoid the comments if you havent' read this.

That ending! If only I could tell you my thoughts about the ending!

For the most part, I think Ms. Hand did alright. I shamefully admit to being something of a whiny brat about the early direction of Boundless. There's such a thing as a comfort zone and I was not in it for the first

Okay, I have been terrible at getting reviews done, lately. Just terrible. Gosh, I read this almost two months ago, and my to-review pile is starting to verge on terrifying. Once again.

Well, even though I read this ages ago, I'm going to try to review it as best as I can. First, for the fangirling portion of our review:

*ahem* Anyway, I kind of have a feeling Clara will still end up with Tucker even after everything that is revealed and happens in Hallowed. *shrugs* I'm Team Christian myself, but since I like Clara so much, I know she wouldn't make a stupid decision (whether she chooses Christian OR Tucker). For once, I'm not going to let the love triangle thing bother me, and I'm sure I will enjoy this book just as much as I enjoyed Unearthly and Hallowed, because Cynthia Hand is a great writer, and even

What a conclusion to this Unearthly trilogy! Must say Cynthia Hand is clever, as I was more than impressed with the plot she created. There was always something in every one of her books that completely surprised me and that I was not expecting. Why it is such a great thing is that, in YA series, it can be hard sometimes to not predict the events and endings since a lot has been done already. Angels are actually a very popular subject that many authors already exploited. The fact that the author

I made it quite obvious that I am on Team Tucker.

Oh,my. This book was such an emotional roller coaster. It made me tear up a couple of times. I can't explain how much I loved it. And it's finally finished. There won't be anymore Tucker and Clara barn and fishing scenes, Christian acting like a knight in shining armour, Jeffrey going on my nerves and being a watchdog, Angela's big mouth, broody goth we call Samjeeza and scenes from the

I can't count how many times this book has brought me to a near heart attack. My anxiety level just went all over the place. It was so erratic, I just want to roll around in the floor like a dog and never stop. Yeah, that's one pretty picture.

Once again I find myself having mixed feelings about an Unearthly book, although this time my feelings were much clearer than with the last. In my opinion, this was the weakest of the series, though Cynthia Hand's engaging narrative style still makes it a quick and enjoyable read despite its flaws.

While I certainly found myself much more frustrated with Clara in this book than in the first two, I
Finally, after days undergoing the five stages of loss and grief, (Uhmm, I think I still haven't gotten that close to the fifth step) I'm calm enough to form some coherent thoughts and explanations about what I think of this final book of the Unearthly series. This still has some major ranting but I really did try to be objective here. So here we go.

Spoilers ahead.

After reading this I have to say that this series will always be one of my most favorite angel books even if it cause quite a major

In which I discover that cliches do exist, as do exceptions to every rule and girls always pick the guy they can't be with.

Because the females of the fictional world seem to be lacking in logic. But they make up for it with enough scruples, near-death experiences, daddy-mummy issues, conflicted pasts and plain old everyday drama to fill a land fill.

So you see that our lovely angelic girl-wonder has come back from a trip abroad. And you're now thinking that this sounds great, right? Wrong.

Sorry, I tried, but I just don’t get the appeal. I’ve heard lots of good things ever since Unearthly and I certainly understand the praise - in an angel paranormal landscape littered with train wrecks like Silence, Halo, and Hush, Hush, Boundless is far from terrible. Still, when I’m looking at the story, all I see are the same generic concepts as pretty much every other book in the genre, just better done. That’s great for people who actually enjoy reading about romantic woes, love triangles, a ...more
Hey, would you like at that. I'm actually posting something for a book that didn't come out yet. A book I haven't read, but I know I'm going to freakin' love anyway. As long as Clara and Tucker get back together, that is.

While I did love this, I can't bring myself to give it more than three stars. I did love it, but I was also a bit disappointed as compared to Hallowed. Review to come once I've had time to sort out my thoughts.

The Unearthly series is one of my all-time favorites so it was with bittersweet feelings that I picked up Boundless. I was excited to see how it ends, but knew I’d be saying goodbye to beloved characters and a moving story. I am mostly satisfied with the conclusion.

We pick up right where Clara, Angela, and Christian are off to Stanford to start their freshman year of college. Both Clara and Christian are having a new and disturbing vision and Clara wonders if she’ll ever have a chance

I felt only so-so about Unearthly.
And I just couldn't get into Hallowed.
So I'm not actually going to read this but...

Can someone please spoiler tag me who Clara ends up with? I'm still curious how this ends.

I got really worried at the end because I wasn't sure that Cynthia was going to be able to tie everything together that quickly but she did and it was an amazing ending! My favorite part was when Clara was up on the mountain steeling herself for the big final task. Also I really liked Samjezza. Would love to see a spin off with his character. Hint hint. =)
