I really like Nikesh Shukla. I think he's a good writer and a good bloke with a good heart. But I really struggled with this. I felt it resolutely failed to answer the only two questions it was asking (why did the riots happen?, and what can we do to stop them happening again?). It made huge sweeping statements, glossed over the nitty gritty issues, and made ad hominem attacks on the right, and characterised their arguments falsely in a straw man way.
