“This is a book for young people. It was written because I believe young people are important and that they have a huge part in God’s plan for the future of America and the Church. In fact, you are the future, and a big part of the present, too.”
-Rick Boyer, The Learning Parent

I have just finished reading Take Back the Land by Rick Boyer. Let me clarify that—I have just finished reading it with my husband. We were both very impressed. Even though it is written to the youth (specifically the hom

Recommends it for: Everyone!
Every so often a book comes a long that really speaks to you. Although I don't often whole-heartedly endorse any book, this is one such book. Rick Boyer has written a book that will inspire young people across America to stand up and start changing America. Right from the start he speaks to young people as those who can make a difference-not the normal "wait till you're older" or "you're just a kid, what can you do?" mentality. Take Back the Land is a must read for Christians, though it is directed to homeschooled youth, I believe that it would be beneficial to parents and non-homeschooled teens as well. Also, this book is a great read, and is especially timely with the 2012 Presidential Election taking place later this year.

In my opinion, this book remin

The rest of the book doesn’t seem to be geared towards teen girls if they are not to be leaders outside of the house.

I did like learning that public schools were started in Germany. I also agree with Rick Boyer about age segregation in the church. Teens do need to be

This book changed my life. If you are a Christian of any age but particularly a Christian youth and you never read more than 2 books make it this one and the Bible.

One of the best parts of this book is that the author really believes what he wrote and lives it out.
