This is a great little book that will help Christians to deal with the tension which Chappo describes as "the joy and struggle of the normal Christian life". In his typically clear, engaging, and practical style, Chappo helps Christians to think about the nature of our ongoing struggle with sin, and with the brokenness of the world. Chapman writes with a serious yet almost loving and wise grandfatherly tone. It reads quickly and intimately as if a strong father figure has compiled words to guide his child and prepare them for the questions in life. He first engages us to release the goals of our own heart by wisely leading us to question why life can be so good and so awfully bad at the same time. This is an outstanding little book with lots of balanced, practical advice for living the Christian life here and now. Matthias Media, out of Australia, has a growing array of excellent books, curriculum and DVDs. Their "The Trellis and the Vine" gives a superb look at a biblical ministry model.
