In addition to coaching, there are day to day actions that improve employee performance if the manager makes the effort to grow this asset. There are helps here for performance planning, creating dialog, and solving problems – as opposed to appraising, issuing directions, and pointing blame. Using these techniques, the manager is helped to create beneficial goals, document performance, and address issues and discipline problems in effective ways. Bacal’s credentials are not given.
