You'll definitely Fall for Cynthia Eden's Angel Betrayed!
Sammael was once an Angel of Death until the day he could no longer stand by while innocent lives were being taken, and for that – he Fell. Centuries’ walking the earth as a Fallen has taught Sam two things; you can’t trust anyone and the bad guys aren’t just the humans and demons that walk beside him.

With sexy Fallen Angels, and a sultry half-succubus, the pages steam from page one.
This is one of those novels that stuck with me long after I read it. I kept having daydreams about my own Fallen Angel, because, wow, Sammael is one sexy hero. The shadowy image of his black wings is such a nice touch. He’s a Fallen, and he’s one of those bad boys who doesn’t care about anything. But when Seline dances into his life, he realizes that it kind of sucks no...more

4.5 Stars. Very good read. Much tighter plotline than the first book, a better story; and a very enjoyable H/h. What is so great about Eden's stories are that they are Romantic Suspense and PNR all wrapped up together. They are always exciting and romantic reads, full of Demons, Angels, Shifters, and Vampires.

Seline O’Shaw has a problem and she really is in need of some protection. With the hounds of hell after her she will take the protection from anywhere she can get it. Sammael owes her a favor and it doesn’t hurt that he very powerful and smoking hot. Seline can deal with lusting after an angel especially when that is nothing compared to what coming after her.

Quick & Dirty: Non-stop action and page turning tension clearly make Angel Betrayed an exciting read.
Opening Sentence: Death could be kind or he could be cruel.
The Review:
Seline has been put in a precarious situation. She has to capture, contain and hopefully kill a man named Sam for her boss, Rogziel. Rogziel has always had input over Seline all of her life. He has raised her to believe that she is an evil abomination for her succubus side. Seline knows t...more

MY THOUGHTS:
ANGEL BETRAYED by Cynthia Eden is an exciting paranormal romance. It is the second in “The Fallen” series but can be read as a stand alone. See,”Angel of Darkness”. Step into a wild ride as you follow Sammael, the Angel of Death, and Seline O’Shaw, daughter of an angel and an incubus. Sammael, was kicked out of Heaven for punishing a group of rapists and killers, and unrepentant Sammael ends up in New Orleans. I loved Sammael from the moment he walked onto the pages of Angel of Darkness. So I was more than excited to read his book. He is my favorite type of hero. He is one of those characters that have done things that could easily be perceived as evil or wrong. He does things his way. He bends the rules or he just makes new ones to fit his needs. I love these qualities in my romance heroes.

WARNING: I curse in here. ;)
To be honest, at first I was a little wary of this book. I mean, a succubus? I was expecting a horribly shallow femme fatale with not a lot going for her. But, the rating was a 4.37 on here, and I rarely see a book with a rating that high. After all, the first book in this series had a way lower rating.
Anyway, back to my wariness. I loved Seline. I thought the best part of her was that despite that fact that she's a succubus - sexy as hell and built for sin -, she was...more

I liked it, and I hope that we get Tomas' story as well.
I'm kind of sick of all the Cynthia Eden heroines who lie. For stupid reasons, even when it would help them more to tell the hero. Seriously, in Never Cry Wolf it was really well done, but in this it sort sucked.
I am kind of annoyed that the tiny part of Nicole we get to see is an unlikable person.
I also wish that the angels hadn't turned out to be preachy tight-asses who are jerks and if they pay too much attention to their duties they en...more

Wow. Just wow. I started reading Angel Betrayed fairly late at night and was resentful when I had to set it down at 3am to get some sleep. I couldn’t wait to get back to it! Seline had me intrigued from the beginning. She’s not your average heroine. As a half succubus/half fallen angel, she isn’t out to save the world, she’s just trying to save her own ass. When she is sent to kill Sam, the biggest and baddest Other around, she sees her chance to finally be free of the Other that commands her. I...more
Loved this book! It is the second in The Fallen series and was so good. After reading the first one (Angel of Darkness) I wasn’t sure about the Fallen Angels. I always had the idea that Angels were good and wholesome and protective. I wasn’t ready to part with that idea, even in a fiction book. So, while I enjoyed Keenan’s story in Angel of Darkness, I think it really prepared me for Sam’s story in Angel Betrayed. Cynthia does a fabulous job of writing her characters that are so broken yet so go...more

This second book of Cynthia's FALLEN series was another great read. She really knows how to build a character with flaws that stick with them and we still end up loving the hero/heroine :). The world of the angels is opened to us. Characteristics of angels that I learned in church and Christian readings are seen throughout the pages. I really enjoy that.

I think this might be my first Cynthia Eden book. I saw this on netgalley and it called to me. What can i say it did. Been a while since i read a good paranormal and the cover was pretty easy on the eyes and the blurb reeled me right in. Sammael looks like a really bad dark evil guy at first. I thought omg how is this going to work out. I don't like this guy already. Then Seline comes on the scene and she's hurt and lost but determined. Quite misguided by the Rogziel the punishment angel who dec...more
I decided to read Angel Betrayed after I saw some excellent buzz about it on Twitter and Goodreads and I’ve been on a bit of a paranormal streak so I decided to give it a go next.
I always enjoy a contentious start to a relationship between the hero/heroine and then enjoy watching how the author works them through their issues to their HEA. Bad-ass fallen angel Sam has been around the block a time or two and it’s going to take more than the super sexy Seline whose half succubus/half angel to get...more

Angel Betrayed is how paranormal romance should be! Fast furious and sexy! Over 6 years I have read tons of paranormal romance and have enjoyed a many of them, but as the years have gone by I find it harder to come upon true romance in the stories. Cynthia Eden hits the nail on the head with this one. Get ready for an emotional ride with characters you can read over and over again. My hats are off to you Cynthia and I CANT WAIT FOR THE REST!!!

This was my first book from Cynthia Eden and it definitely won't be my last. I love the world she has created. From the first page until the last I was loathe to stop reading. There is just so much going on that I found myself quickly turning the page to see what was going to happen. The chemistry between Sam and Seline is instant and it's hot!

WOW! Just WOW!!!
This is by far, my best experience with Cynthia Eden so far. The story offers bad-ass hero, tough heroine, viscious (and pretty f*cked up) villains, terrifying hellhounds (!), a scorching hot romance, and all around non-stop action. It keeps me awake because I can't stop reading it (even on the bus!).
This series intrigued me because the hero is not the "typical" hero. I mean, sure, we have bad-ass heroes in this kind of book, but Sammael (and the hero for the next book,...more

Growing up under the watchful eye of a punishment angel, Saline has been using her succubus gifts against the wicked since she was a teenager. But her latest mark is someone more powerful than she has ever encountered. Sammael is a fallen angel, capable of killing with just one touch. He sees through the wiles that usually work on other men --and quickly she realizes he could be the way to get her out from under Rogziel's thumb.

We met Fallen angel Sammael (Sam) during book 1 of the Fallen series, Angel of Darkness. Sam is also a Fallen Angel, a former Angel of Death. Sam falls from grace after he decides to kill those who were preying on the weak and helpless. As a Fallen, Sam has retained most of his angel powers, including his ability to kill with just a touch.

After reading Angel of Darkness I was soooo excited to find out it was time for Sam's story!! He is such a tortured soul (perfect for a fallen angel I guess) and I just love my heroes tortured. Seline hasn't had an easy life either so it's fun to see the two of them fight the attraction. Sam tries to come across as almost heartless but I know he's not. I laughed and cried my ass off when reading this book. I think one of the best compliments I can giv...more

3 1/2 stars - Angel Betrayed is a story about a powerful fallen angel who falls in love with a beautiful half incubus girl. Sammael, known better as Sam, was once an angel of death. Angels, Demons, Hell Hounds…Oh My! This book has everything. An angry Fallen Angel (Sam), a beautiful Demon (Seline) in need of protection, and vengeful Angel out to reap justice. in my never ending search for these angel books i like so much, i stumbled upon this one. ehhh we'll call this 1.5 but i'm rounding down.
don't have time to go into the details but it just didn't work for me. i liked the male lead sometimes, but had a hard time liking anyone else. the plot had the potential to be fun but had several issues imo, more so toward the end - i.e. random things popping up that hadn't been introduced as possibility - that just didn't make sense within the world. writing...more

Angel's, Demon's, and Shifter's, Oh my… Fast, fun, and sexy. I love a story with a complex character's. The good guys aren't always so good, and the bad guys may not really be so bad after all. I never read any of the books in this series and it totally works as a stand alone novel. Not once did I feel lost or left out. Sam and Selene have trust issues, so there are no declarations of undying love two pages in (which annoy me to no end). Things are tough, and we see them fall in love. All the ot...more

Filled with great plot twists, steeped in mystery and intrigue, the lovable and frustrating Sam is stubborn, angry, and misunderstood - and a total hottie!
Selina is strong, pigheaded and overly confident in her Succubus skills but completely at a loss when it comes to Sam, and her heritage.
The author has done a spectacular job with her characters and their background stories. I was very quickly caught up in this new and intriguing world of Angels, Demons and all things paranormal.

It's hard not enjoy a bad ass fallen angel. Sam is a Fallen, he took to killing a little too well when he had his wings. He was forced to fall, lost his wings and as angels don't feel emotions, he gained those in full. He comes across Seline, and they both need each other.....more
