Larissa Ione is by far, one of my favorite authors. In fact, I've not rated any of her books less than 5 stars. When I first rated books, I gave away 5 stars easily, but now- not even close. The fact that all her books still rate so highly just tells you how much I love her as an author.

A great book. Fabulous addition to a Kick-Ass series!!

I think this series itself is better than any one book. Larissa Ione has woven an amazing tapestry full of depth, passion, peril and excitement with this series. Each book adds to the whole world she's created, making the series absolutely more addictive than any other series I've read lately, except for KMM's Fever books. I seriously give the books my highest recommendation.

Absolutely amazing. The outcome far outweighed the expectations I had for Lethal Rider.

Of course it had it's flaws, but the joy I felt at every page while reading and anticipating what was to come next left me with little to no argument for whether they should affect my love of the series. They did not. Though, I was torn throughout the story for about 65% of the book, I finally decided to just simply put my emotions out of the way, and accept what had to be done.. Thanatos has been kept immobile for the past 8 months by his own siblings, Ares and Limos. Upon discovering Regan's horrible deception in Immortal Rider, he went nuclear and squashed a lot of lives. They feel it's for his own good and only intend to keep him in that state until his baby is born. Hades has his own agenda, and helps break him out of his hellhound saliva-induced paralysis. Naturally, he immediately goes and finds Regan where she is hiding at The Aegis headquarters. We learn that Regan has been living the past 8 months in shame and fear over what she did to Thanatos. She knew she should not have run, yet she did, and is living with the sickening dreams of the guilt she feels. She is not surprised when he shows up for her.

I really wanted to hate Regan, I mean I had a huge hate-on for her at the end of the previous book for what she did to Than. I did not understand how she could do what she did. The beauty of Lethal Rider is that we see Regan's point of view 8 months later with hindsight, and we see just how tortured she is over what she did. We know what motivated her, and we get her backstory that helped to explain what drove her. I don't even feel like I had to work to like Regan, really, and I don't remember even when it happened. I felt like I could understand more of what she did and why she did it and after a while I just didn't care what she did. I wanted her and Than to be together and to have their little "pony boy" together. I felt like they both deserved to be a family, so badly. If folks are worried that she is unredeemable, their worries will be laid to rest. Than gives her soooo muuuuch shiiiiiit, that you really begin to empathize with her. You heart aches, and once they finally allow themselves to try to think ahead and move forward, you are cheering them on.

With the events going on with the two of them, there is also Pestilence raping and pillaging the world, and also trying to maneuver other fractions against his brothers ands sister. We get some flashbacks of how he was was Reseph, and the ache it must feel to watch what he has become once his Seal has broken. There is no question for me, thanks to a discussion with Bookaholic Cat, that Reaver is somehow involved in the Horsemen's parentage, mostly because he cannot remember his life prior to falling. Larissa Ione mentions very often throughout this book in particular that the Horsemen are part angel, and one big daddy-contender in Lethal Rider is ruled out. The Fallen Angel drama that goes on between Reaver, Harvester and Gethal is very good, and definitely adds to the overall story. Also, major things happen with The Aegis! Betrayal, and really good action stuff, and I love the direction she has taken things in with that. If you've been missing those Seminus demon brothers, have no fear, they get plenty of scenes! We get to see Eidolon and Shade and Wraith, and their lines are memorable as always.

The set up for the 4th book, Rogue Rider, is made for Reseph/Pestilence. I'm a little nervous how that is going to play out, but I was just as equally nervous with how Thanatos's story would play out too, and I loved it. If anyone can redeem a character, it is Larissa Freaking Ione.

All of the elements I expect from Larissa Ione are here. Gore, great mythology, action, and hot steamy smexy times. This was probably the easiest book of the three, so far, to follow just because most of the world-building has been laid out previously. I remember really struggling initially with the first book, even though I'd read the Demonica series, because the world building was so dense. That's not a complaint at all, but it's worth remarking on just how seamlessly everything flowed in Lethal Rider. I assumed that there would only be 4 books in this series since there are 4 Horsemen, but goodreads shows there are 5 books slated, so... YAY! MOAR LoD!! In summary, fans of this series will not be disappointed!

Anyone who has reached Lethal Rider, the 3rd book in the Lords of Deliverance series, is a fan of Ms. Ione. But I would bet my life, that compared to the Demonica series, the Lords has been a little... less compelling (not exactly bad, since I still love reading her books more than any other PNR, just relatively...meh). But, that's because when we started reading the series, we knew the most exciting characters were Thanatos and Reseph. Surprise, surprise, when I tell you that Than's book (this book) is the best, so far, at least.

So, Than is the Horseman of Death, and in book 2, lost his virginity to Regan, an Aegis. Their moment of lust seems to be contrived by ~~Reseph~~ Pestilence, in hopes that his seal would be broken. It doesn't break, but it creates Than's seal, his unborn son. Since Than has been guarding his virginity like it's the most precious thing in his life for centuries, he starts raging and destroying things in the way only Death can. Ares and Limos are forced to subdue him with hellhound venom stuff for 8 months. This book starts with the very pregnant Regan and the recently-escaped-from-paralytic-imprisonment, Thanatos. Than is compelled to protect his unborn son, which unfortunately means dragging around Regan, who he's still angry with and lusting after. Anyway, more drama happens, as Regan and Than fight their attraction, Pestilence is fucking up the world, and the Aegis creates new ways to screw over Team human/good demon/good horsemen. Oh yea, and Reaver secretly saves the world (*drool* I love you Reaver *fangirl squeal*). So, using deductive reasoning about the last book, we can deduce that it will be Reseph's book, since he is the last horseman, which means Than destroys Pestilence in this book. Does that really sound like a spoiler to ya'll? I don't think so Anyway, I am just so ready for the next book. I can't wait.

So, one of the reasons why Lethal Rider is awesome is because both Than and Regan are just so badass. Their chemistry could have burned off the pages, if I hadn't read it on my kindle. Regan, I'm not going to elaborate. We all know she's pretty tough. Than, whoa, that man has a whole lotta baggage, literally. It really sucks to be Than, but he's kinda an ass sometimes, so you could see it coming. We get to see more of our favorite characters from Demonica - though, not always under the pink lenses from the Demonica series. The Horsemen aren't particularly fond of the Sem bros. We also get more of Reaver, which is awesome because he's my favorite character. I wonder if he'll get his own book. Probably not, but one could hope.

Overall, this was an amazing read. I can highly recommend it to anyone I know. If you like PNR and Ms. Ione's work, this would be stuck in your favorites shelf forever. It's good stuff. (less)

4.5 Stars. Very, very good read. Although it was really a continuation of the last book; this story did much more to move the general storyline of the series forward than Immortal Rider did. Why not 5 Stars? Well, the personal story between Thanatos and Regan left just a bit to be desired. They were mostly great together; and while their bantering was usually fun and sexy, there were a couple of times it degenerated into just a bit corny. Well, the personal story between Thanatos and Regan left just a bit to be desired. They were mostly great together; and while their bantering was usually fun and sexy, there were a couple of times it degenerated into just a bit corny. Plus, I wish the reader had been shown a bit of preview of the kinder, gentler Than of this book. (When he was with Regan. During battle and other scenes, he was still the hard-core Than we know and love). Since the reader had not seen much of his sensitive side before, he came off a bit of a wussy at times. These small niggling things aside; the story itself was absolutely fantastic. Dark, gritty, and luscious; some of the best writing Ione has done.

This story begins right as the last one left off. Regan, who had forced Thanatos into having sex and impregnating her at Aegis orders, is now over 8 months pregnant. Than has been held in stasis by Limos and Ares until after the birth of the baby. He manages to escape, and promptly kidnaps Regan, taking her back to his home. His plan is to make her pay for what she has done to him. Best laid plans, and all that...as these books are love stories, we all know what happens on that front.

This one pulled all the elements of the previous books into high gear, as the series quickly moves forward to the ultimate battle, which may or may not lead to the Apocalypse. There was a lot of betrayal and double-dealing in this one, the reader almost needs a scorecard to keep up. I'm really glad that I read Apocalypse: The Lords of Deliverance Compendium first, especially the 20 page short story about Lilith and Yenreith. It really answered a lot of questions in my mind. I hated Harvester as much as the next person until I read that story and realized who she was and what she meant to the Horsemen. Reaver still doesn't know who he is to the Horsemen; that wasn't brought out in this book. (view spoiler)

This was a great story, fast paced, action packed; and just...wow. This is such a wonderful series; and damn, but Ione has some kind of imagination. Having the Aegis split was genius. By the end of the series the 'bad' Aegis will be put down; and the 'new' Aegis good guys will be able to work with demons instead of trying to destroy all of them, good and bad. There was lots of overlap to the Demonica world, so we got to visit with all our favs from that series. Can't wait for Reseph and Reaver's books.

OMFG! Where to start, where to start? Larissa has reminded me why I love to read in the first place, I literally devoured this book in a day... Yeah, it was that good! It captured me and sucked me in so I couldn't put it down until I was finished. I'm so serious, I was reading this while I was at my Internship.

The story picks up with Regan being protected in the Aegis headquarters and that's when things get all wound up, Thanatos finds out where Regan is and I'm not going to tell you what happen...more OMFG! It captured me and sucked me in so I couldn't put it down until I was finished. I'm so serious, I was reading this while I was at my Internship.

I know there was a lot of mixed feelings about the scene in Immortal Rider with Regan and Than... you guys know what I'm talking about. Well when I read it I was baffled at first because I considered it rape... but trust and believe me on this one Larissa knew what she was doing! I wish I would have trusted her to begin with, and I will never doubt her again. I am so glad that she took the risk she did because it put a lot of pieces together in Lethal Rider. You really get to see who Regan truly is and that is a selfless, brave, fighter! With that being said let me get back to why I enjoyed Lethal Rider oh so much.

Thanatos and Regan's relationship is the MAIN reason... it didn't happen all at once, and they didn't commit themselves to a relationship at first. They both really got to know each other, and see sides of each other that other people have never seen. Their relationship was amazing! Than and Regan's sexual tension had me burning up like a 800 degree oven... that's how hot it was. There are a lot of great things revealed in this book that I will let you discover on your own because it makes the book so enjoyable. I had a lot of OMG, really moments. I am so glad that Thanatos finally gets his heart's desire... a child. While the relationship was awesome, what was even more awesome is Regan and Thanatos's love and sacrifice for their baby. Their baby is what really brought them so close together.

This was a kick ass, burning hot, and adventurous book. This is definitely 2012 release you DO NOT want to miss, I loved every second of it and can't get it out of my head after reading it. The sneak peak for Rogue Rider killed/teased me so bad! Can't wait to get my hands on the fourth book... I can't wait to see what the lovely Larissa has in store for Reseph!(less)

I came across Larissa Ione's Demonica books one day a couple years ago at Barnes & Noble. I skimmed through the books descriptions, and then proceeded to grab them up. I read them ALL pretty quickly, that I was craving more of her writing after I was done.
I was excited when she announced a new series...Lords of Deliverance.
Lethal Rider is the third book in the series.
Larissa never disappoints with her books at all. She keeps me enthralled from the first chapter to the last chapter. Once I'm at the last chapter though, I want more.
"Lethal Rider" is finally about Thanatos aka Death, the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He has been stuck in a paralyzed state since the end of last book "Immortal Rider". His brother and sister had to immobilize him otherwise he would've slaughtered every one and anyone had his sister's Wedding. He was used by Regan Cooper who is part of the Aegis organization. The organization wanted her to seduce Thanatos and become pregnant with his child. They were told the child would save the apocalypse from happening. Thanatos had been celibate for thousands of years thinking his celibacy was the key to him not turning evil like his brother Reseph, aka Pestilence. Needless to day, he was on a war path after he realized what Regan did to him.
When Thanatos is finally able to get out of his paralyzed state, he tracks down Regan for revenge. Unfortunately, others have been tracking her down to kill her. When Thanatos gets a hold of her finally, he is upset that no one bothered to tell him she is pregnant.
I could go on and on about this book, but I do not want to spoil the book to anyone who hasn't read it like my partner in crime. "Lethal Rider" had a lot of other parts in the book that left you hanging and it will pick up next in Reseph's book.
My thoughts on "Lethal Rider" was I really enjoyed reading Thanatos book finally. He has fascinated me since the first book "Eternal Rider". He can go from joking with you one second to turning into a dark, dangerous immortal next. Let's just say, if you piss him off, you better start running...but you most likely won't make it because he'll find you. Anyone who is in his way when he turns into "Death" will be killed because he can't control himself.
Regan was a little annoying at times, but it's to be expected. She is pregnant...and being pregnant can make you very hormonal. VERY hormonal! She did have some very strong qualities in her that I adored. She didn't like being told she couldn't do certain things. She's one tough woman and she'll stand up to any man to prove she can do what they do.
Thanatos and Regan were perfect for each other becauseThanatos needed Regan, she helped balance him out. She could control him to be calm. You'll find out in this book Regan has special powers and Larissa will tell you how Regan's powers came to be.
I loved how everything came together and who ended up being the BAD guy at the end. Wow! Let's just say the horsemen were surprised too. No, Reseph is not the only bad guy. =)
In "Lethal Rider", the angels played a significant role into the storyline.
I recommend this book to paranormal romance readers, fans of the four horseman of the apocalypse, and of course diehard fans of Larissa Ione.
You'll have a hard time putting down this book and the first two books.
If your a Reseph fan like I am...you'll get a sneak peek into his book "Rogue Rider" which can't come fast enough. (less)

Thanatos always thought his seal, the one if broken would trigger the Apocalypse, was his virginity but that was proven wrong after one night of passion with the sexy Aegis Guardian Regan Cooper. It’s been months since but Thanatos hasn’t forgotten and he will stop at nothing to get revenge on the sexy Guardian who has haunted him since that night.

Regan Cooper should have been killed as a baby for being half demon but the Aegis took her in and raised her giving her the only family and life she’s ever known. When the Aegis asks her to seduce Thanatos and get pregnant with his child to save the world she does what has to be done. Now eight months pregnant, Thanatos has come for her and is shocked to find her pregnant with his child. The spark between the two is still there and grows strong the longer they’re together. The life they have created could be the key to their future but it’s up them if it’s the beginning or the end.

To say that I liked this book is like saying chocolate is just okay. Lethal Rider is my favorite of the Lords of Deliverance series so far and Thanatos is going on my all time favorite book boyfriend list. With that being said I was very hesitant to start this book because of my feelings about Regan coming off Immortal Rider. Regan was very annoying and I was not happy about having to read four hundred pages about her but she slowly redeemed herself in this book and I found myself actually liking her by the end.

There is a lot going on in Lethal Rider as the fate of the world rests with Thanatos and Regan’s unborn child. It seems that everyone, even Thanatos usually faithful servants, want the child dead and the Apocalypse to begin and no one can be trusted. As Than and Regan fight to save their child the more they realize they need one another. I always love stories where the woman is pregnant and I think that really helped me like Regan and Than together. I find few things more beautiful then a man being excited to be a father and stopping at nothing to save his family.

What I love so much about Larissa Ione is that you never know what to expect with each book except the return of some gorgeous Sem brothers. I love Shade and Wraith so much and always get excited when they make an appearance. I love how this book ended and is true Larissa Ione fashion I am now left with just as many questions as I started with. Add in my growing excitement and anticipation about Reaver (Who is he? Will he remember his past?) with the fact that I have no idea what’s going to happen with Reseph I might drive myself crazy waiting for Rogue Rider.

Larissa Ione is one of my favorite paranormal romance authors and each book just gets better and better. I am so happy with Lethal Rider and it was everything I wanted and even things I didn’t know I wanted. After finishing book 2, Immortal Rider, I couldn’t stand Regan, the heroine of Lethal Rider. I felt like what she did to Than, completely deceiving him and taking something from him that he said no to, was such a violation. I had no idea how I was going to be able to get behind Regan as a lead character and Than’s heroine. Larissa Ione made it happen. The book opens up 8 ½ months after Regan’s actions force sex with Than and results in her pregnancy. Instead of Than’s seal breaking during sex which he had always believed would happen, his seal turns out to be his son…and won’t that open up the flood gates for different people to want that little baby.

Than, who has been paralyzed by Ares and Limos for the past 8 months comes out of his paralysis faster than they were expecting and heads straight for Regan. She’s staying at the Aegis headquarters and having her own problems with a vampire that wants her dead. Than comes in just in time and takes her to his keep, so he can figure out what to do with her. Than is so full of anger, rightfully so, and the hurt and pain and all the lies that he feels from Regan don’t just magically go away. They struggle through much of the first half of the book to feel their way with each other. Than has a way with cutting words right to Regan’s heart and that’s what ultimately had me starting to sympathize with her. Regan didn’t have the best childhood and the only place she ever felt wanted was with the Aegis. While I still don’t agree with what she did to Than, I started to understand it better as more details about her life came out and I slowly became a fan of hers.

Than and his siblings have a whole lot of problems going on around them, in addition to Than worrying about how to keep his unborn son safe. Pestilence is still growing stronger and stronger, he’s deceiving people left and right, killing without thought and he wants to kill Than’s son, badly. Gone is any trace of Reseph and it becomes very clear that Than’s original plan to try and find a way to save Reseph just isn’t going to happen. They need to kill Pestilence and put a stop to all the death and destruction he’s bringing down on the world. He attacks the Aegi and even Underground General. It shouldn’t be shocking at this point, but the killings that he brings down on those that are close to Ares, Limos and Than are heartless. He’s hitting them close home and with the power he has now, stopping him is proving to be next to impossible for the Horsemen.

Than and Regan’s relationship plays a huge role in the book, and their build up from basically hatred and shame on Regan’s part to acceptance, forgiveness and finally love took time and didn’t come easy. I went from cheering Than every time he landed a well placed verbal hit against Regan, to cringing and feeling bad for her once her story started coming out. I really liked Than’s progression. He has always dreamed about having a family, but with the curse of what he thought was his seal, he never thought it would be possible. While I’d never say he turned into a big softy around Regan once he found out she was pregnant, he certainly fell in love with his son early on. For this couple, it was the little things that had each of them starting to see the other person through new eyes. A book from Regan to Than, Than letting some of her co-workers come to his keep so she’d have some familiar faces around her. It was little things like that that led them to find some common ground. And of course, the sex between them – hot. With Regan being 8 ½ months pregnant, it couldn’t get too crazy, but Than and Regan were both very inexperienced and they were able to use that common ground as well to become more comfortable around each other, and Than had many, many years of celibacy to make up for!

Thanatos rocked his head back against the tree truck. “I intend to repair his Seal, not kill him.” Than had found evidence that Reseph’s seal could be repaired, but only if Than stabbed him with a specific dagger at a specific time. Problem was that he hadn’t figured out the “time” detail.

“Criminy. Whatever. Just do something. My very life comes from those souls. I need them.”

“Criminy?” Than stared. “Seriously? Big, bad, Mohawk-haired demon says ‘criminy’?”

“Yes, criminy.” Hades rubbed his bare chest. “And, fuck off.”

There are many supporting storylines going on at the same time – the angels and watchers are falling apart. Reaver is left in a horrible place and position at books end and right now, his only hope is that the Horsemen come for him. The Aegis under goes a ton of changes and Kynan is left rebuilding and moving forward in very news ways. The connection between Than and the vampires is revealed and has a direct impact on not only Than but Regan. As with past books, the humor is there; I love the random one liners that all the characters toss out there, especially Wraith, who shows up a few times.

“You need to make time for this,” Than said. “The baby Regan carries could trigger the Apocalypse if he dies.”

“I know that. But I haven’t even been to my own home in two weeks.” Shade dropped the medic bag. “So fuck off. I got here as soon as I could.” He strode over to Regan. “The message I got was that we’re dealing with hypothermia?”

“Obviously,” Than said, “she’s better. No thanks to you. But she’s having…what are they called? Breaking Dicks?”

“Braxton Hicks,” Shade muttered.

What I wasn’t expecting at all was the storyline for Pestilence. The one question I’ve always had throughout the three books was how in the world was Reseph going to be able to come back? His set up occurs at the end and it was surprising to me that happened, but Ione has a way of building up the next book so well that I finished Than and Regan’s story and I immediately wanted to find out what’s going to happen to Reseph.

I loved this book. It’s fast paced, the action hits not only the Horsemen, but the demons at UG. My biggest concern going in was Regan, but I was satisfied with her and Than’s story. It’s emotional, and they really are the perfect match for each other. I was so happy for Than, finding happiness and a family that he’d always dreamed of. Of course, nothing is easy in these books, and he makes a sacrifice at the end that will impact their future, but it’s nothing that they won’t be able to handle together. I loved everything about this story and I’m SO anxious to find out what’s going to happen with Reseph. (less)

Thanatos is forced to reexamine his desire for revenge. Is it worth giving up the one thing he has always desired, a child and a family of his own? Is it even possible to form a family with a woman that he believes untrustworthy and loyal to the wrong people? Finally, how will he deal with Pestilence (Respesh), who wants to kill the baby as soon as it is born and the pending apocalypse?

This book was my favorite of the Lord of Deliverance series. It was packed with action, great dialogue, emotional highs and lows. It was wrought with sexual tension as well as romance. It was dark, yet full of humor. It was everything a great book ought to be. Ione did a great job fleshing out Regan’s character, her OCD behaviors and her private pain. It allowed us to understand Regan and her relationship with the Aegi. She also made Thanatos into one of my favorite heroes. He is so damaged, yet compassionate. As the Rider of Death, he seems so cold, deadly and lethal, but he actually is the most fragile of the horsemen. He was in so much pain, that it was hard not to sympathize with him. It was a joy to observe how he opened himself up to the possibility of having a family. I just couldn’t put this book down. I loved this book and I can’t wait for the next one.

At the end of this book was a preview for Rogue Rider, but I didn’t read it. I can’t take the teasing. I will wait until the entire novel is ready. Larissa Ione is definitely one of my favorite authors.

I strongly recommend, actually I insist that you must read the Demonica series, all five books in order before starting the Lord of Deliverance series. Eidolon, Shade, Wraith, Lore and Sin all make appearances with their mates. Their history will help you understand their talents and gifts.

In Immortal Rider, Regan tricked Than into giving up his virginity and getting pregnant in hopes that their child would save the world. Throughout his thousands of years, Than has thought that losing his virginity meant breaking his seal. Learning about Regan's betrayal upset Than so much that he wreaked all kinds of havoc on those around him and because of it, Ares and Limos thought it was best to keep him immobilized with hellhound venom. For the past several months Than has been paralyzed and had his siblings keeping watch over him. As soon as he was able to break free of the hellhound venom he planned to go after Regan and kill her. Let's just say he was quite shocked to find the girl he wanted to slaughter just happens to be the mother of his unborn child.

There is soooo much going on in Lethal Rider that it's hard to review. If I give a little here it will ruin other parts in the book so I have to be really vague. Because I don't feel I can do a proper review without giving spoilers I'll be very brief and tell you how much I liked the book. I lurved Than sooooooo very much. Not that it surprised me at all because it's been all about Than for me since the beginning. I was so excited to finally get past Limos so I could get to his book. I didn't want to like her cause she totally stole my man, but I really liked Regan.

As with all of Larissa Ione's books, Lethal Rider was intense, emotional, action packed, funny when it needed to be, and off the frakkin charts hot with the smexy time. I've never wanted to have children but Than can be my baby daddy any time! After the shocking ending, I can't wait to see what happens in Rogue Rider. I'm really curious how Ms. Ione plans to redeem Reseph.(less)

The only thing on Than's mind is getting to Regan and making her pay for her betrayal. But once he realizes that she's carrying his baby his intentions change as he does all he can to keep Regan and the baby safe. We get to see a whole new side to Than and it was wonderful getting to see him be tender and loving. His character is so interesting and you truly feel for him and his siblings as they try to do whatever they can to protect mankind.

Although I wasn't a huge fan of Regan's character, I do think that she felt what she was doing was the right thing. She believes in the Aegis strongly due to the fact that they are really the only family that she has ever known. She doesn't want to give into the hope that one day she can have a family with the baby that she is carrying as well as it's father. She does her best to fight it for as long as she can until she realizes just how much Than cares about her. I loved reading the touching scenes between the two of them and am happy with how it all played out.

Lethal Rider had so many exciting moments as the characters are in a race to save mankind. Characters from the authors Demonica series show up throughout the book and I enjoyed seeing them interact with the characters of this series. Since this series is a spin off of that one, it's great to see the storylines interwoven together. Lethal Rider was entertaining and because it's the 2nd to the last book, kicks the excitement level up a notch as the series will soon come to a close. (less)

Yeah, you may have wanted her before, but no is no. Regan...you raped yourself...Or allowed yourself to be raped... Still wrong! What in the world makes you think that was OK before you softened up? God this book was messed up!

There's so much wrong here. The humor fell flat. It wasn't witty or original. I don't know why I finished the novel, honestly. Regan was a weakling masquerading as an Amazon warrior. Than was weak! Wraith was more bad-ass: "And dude, I play with my food." Not that that fool Lance was sufficiently (if at all) scared. If was funny at least! Kill 'em! Kill 'em all! Everyone else died! Start with Lance! Shit!

Oh... And why was the book so slow to fill in the details about Than, for one. Yes, I get that they're in a series, but the books should be sufficiently self-reliant that they can be read with large gaps between picking them up. Ya dig? Independent but intertwined!

Who wants to have sex a WEEK after giving birth?! Even if you're healed. I'm not a mom, but I know enough of them that it seems as though you're still recovering emotionally! Not to mention you're probably tired as hell from, oh I dunno... A new born and an apocalypse? You know, it's similar to a Kresley Cole novel with the interplay between factions kinda and stuff and I liked that, but it feel short of the bill. (less)

Okay, so here’s the thing… Larissa Ione is the most amazing writer I’ve ever met. Why? Damn, she’s a genius! She’s very graphic, the way she tells her story!
