Larissa Ione is by far, one of my favorite authors. In fact, I've not rated any of her books less than 5 stars. When I first rated books, I gave away 5 stars easily, but now- not even close. The fact that all her books still rate so highly just tells you how much I love her as an author.

Thanatos is mad as hell…and he wants to stomp around and shout a bit…
Lethal Rider is the third book of Larissa Ione’s Lords of Deliverance series. This series expands upon her earlier Demonica series. The author creates a rich, textured world, full of angels, demons, vampires, and the like. This world is on the cusp of an apocalypse of Biblical proportions brought about by one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse – Pestilence.

A great book. Fabulous addition to a Kick-Ass series!!
I think this series itself is better than any one book. Larissa Ione has woven an amazing tapestry full of depth, passion, peril and excitement with this series. Each book adds to the whole world she's created, making the series absolutely more addictive than any other series I've read lately, except for KMM's Fever books. I seriously give the books my highest recommendation.

Absolutely amazing. The outcome far outweighed the expectations I had for Lethal Rider.
Of course it had it's flaws, but the joy I felt at every page while reading and anticipating what was to come next left me with little to no argument for whether they should affect my love of the series. They did not. Though, I was torn throughout the story for about 65% of the book, I finally decided to just simply put my emotions out of the way, and accept what had to be done.. I tried anyways, Lol. Still,...more

Larissa Ione is back with her third Lords of Deliverance novel, Lethal Rider, and it's totally worth the wait!
Thanatos has been kept immobile for the past 8 months by his own siblings, Ares and Limos. Upon discovering Regan's horrible deception in Immortal Rider, he went nuclear and squashed a lot of lives. They feel it's for his own good and only intend to keep him in that state until his baby is born. Hades has his own agenda, and helps break him out of his hellhound saliva-induc...more

So naturally, it took me more than a week to get back to writing this review. It's the longest I've gone, but I think it has to do with writing a review that would do the book justice. I can't promise that even now, but I figure, I might as well try.

4.5 Stars. Very, very good read. Although it was really a continuation of the last book; this story did much more to move the general storyline of the series forward than Immortal Rider did. Why not 5 Stars? Well, the personal story between Thanatos and Regan left just a bit to be desired. They were mostly great together; and while their bantering was usually fun and sexy, there were a couple of times it degenerated into just a bit corny. Plus, I wish the reader had been shown a bit of preview o...more
Another 5 fabulous stars for the Lords of Deliverance! This book is definitely my favourite so far!
The end of the world is still underway. Evil Horseman Pestilence has - according to Hades - gone “serial-killer fucktwat insane”. And with the demons on the loose and the rest of the supernatural world starting to join in, there is chaos, devastation and MAJOR betrayal as everything starts to fall apart. The Horsemen, their partners, and the entire Demonica crew are all on board for the action, whi...more

LETHAL RIDER by Larissa Ione can be summed up in one word: wow.
Yes. Wow.
I had very high expectations for this installment of Ione's LORDS OF DELIVERANCE series, and I was not disappointed. Having read IMMORTAL RIDER, I knew Than and Regan were in for a bumpy ride on their way to their HEA, but what I did not expect was how much I enjoyed taking the ride with them.

We find out that Regan was tricked into drugging Thanatos and herself which helped her complete the plan of having sex with him and getting pregnant. Thanatos is beyond livid not only from losing his virginity but from being essentially raped. Ares and Limos felt it was best to keep him paralyzed with hellhound saliva so he doesn't kill anymore than he already has. The problem is Thanatos doesn't know Regan is pregnant and all hell is about to break loose!

This one starts right where Immortal Riders ended, with Thanatos (fourth horseman of the Apocalypse) in the induced comatose state. He is being kept there by his siblings, since his anger and its consequences are renowned. If you remember from the previous book, Thanatos had just discovered Regan’s duplicitous action and he was raging. Limos & Ares decided to buy time and figure out how to deal with Pestilence while hoping Thanatos’ wrath will subside.

Lethal Rider is the third book in Larissa Ione's fantastically sensual Lords of Deliverance series and is hands down the best book in both the Lords of Deliverance and Demonica series. Thanatos and Regan have come a long way and I thoroughly enjoyed going on that journey with them.

After the events of book 2 of the series I couldn't wait to dive into Lethal Rider. With the oncoming apocalypse and the Horseman Pestilence creating havoc all over the world, the remaining 3 Horseman have their hands full trying to protect mankind. Than, the Horseman of Death, is looking for someone who has betrayed him in the previous book. Regan thought that she was doing the right thing for the group that she works with Aegis, by getting pregnant with Than's baby. They believe that by doing...more

Ugh. I kind of hated this book. I loved the whole Demonica series so much, but Lords of Deliverance has been very meh, and each book has been less palatable.
I was very invested in the world and the apocalypse, which is basically what got me through a troubled, problematic love story between two characters who were terribly difficult to like, and even more difficult to like together.

The third installment of Ione's wonderful Lords of Deliverance series, a spin-off from her even more wonderful Demonica series, Lethal Rider is the story of Thanatos aka Death. Than's a great character, not my favorite of the guys, but maybe my second favorite, and I felt his pain when he discovered Regan Cooper had seduced him for the bad guys, aka The Aegis (who IMO are pretty much the bad guys much of the time!) Okay, so here’s the thing… Larissa Ione is the most amazing writer I’ve ever met. Why? Damn, she’s a genius! She’s very graphic, the way she tells her story! I mean, it’s normal for me to get too absorbed in a book. It almost felt like the book was taking me in it when I read. But with Ione’s book, the scenes are stronger. And the emotions… damn. I could really feel the way her characters felt.

(July) I really liked this book. I find LI imminently readable. When I finished Immortal Rider (book 2) I could not wait to read this one, to figure out how on earth she was going to make Than and Regan a workable couple. I should not have worried - if anyone could pull it off, it would be LI. But...while her world building is fantastic, it is getting (like so many PNR books these days) way convoluted - there are so many rules, so many details to remember, so many species - sometimes a little le...more
