[Full disclosure: Matt Myklusch sent me a copy of The End of Infinity to review as I saw fit after he saw I loved The Accidental Hero. There was an understanding between us that sending me the next two books in his trilogy would not guarantee him a good review.]
Whoa.
I haven’t been speechless like this since I finished Mira Grant’s Blackout. And for those of you who know how much I loved the Newsflesh trilogy, you know that’s really saying something. Here’s why I’m lost for words:

Jack Blank was never like any other kid. When he lived at the orphanage weird things would happen when he got close to machines. He didn’t understand his powers until a representative from the Imagine Nation found him and took him back with him. The Imagine Nation is the place where superheros are trained. While in the Imagine Nation, Jack learned of the Rüstov aliens who can take over humans and machines...more

How do I even begin this review? I've got a huge smile on my face as I type this, and am still a bit teary eyed over it all. The End of Infinity wraps up Jack's story in a big way. We find Jack right after the end of the last book. For those of you who haven't started this series yet (shame on you) I won't spoil, but it felt good to have the mystery of what happened to Jack cleared up almost instantly. Or so I thought. What follows is a story that has so many twists and turns that it's hard not...more
What a fantastic series for young readers! As a parent, nothing is more satisfying than discovering a book you hope your child will pick up and enjoy every moment they spend reading it like you did. This is one series my son is anxious to start reading this year, and I can't wait for him to start it. Jack Blank's adventures span three books, The Accidental Hero, The Secret War (the links go to my reviews for each book) and the final book in the series, The End of Infinity. What an awesome series...more
Pretty good ending to the trilogy. A little on the short side, but I don't see how he could have made it any longer; there wasn't much story left to tell after the information that was packed into the first two volumes.
Only complaints are that the beginning and ending felt sort of . . . rushed. Felt like there should have been more explanation between the prologue and chapter 1. Also, Jack becomes sort . . . I dunno, invincible? towards the end. Seemed like he was becoming the typical Marvel su...more

After reading the first two books, this one blew me completely away. His use of voice and characterization keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. He implements many twists and turns you never expected especially at the end, my favorite part, where he finally gives you the information about Jack that's been held away for so long. It really causes anticipation and keeps the book right in front of your face. Everyday I would just be waiting for the chance to read and find out how the tr...more
Concluding volume in the "Imagine Nation" series pits Jack against both the alien resident in his body and the Borg-like invaders threatening Earth. It all turns out to be about fathers and sons. The author has gone to great lengths to create space and other battles choreographed without reference to physical laws or logic but what was amusing in volume one becomes tedious by volume three.
Oh my God. Last of the Jack Blank trilogy. The whole series is amazing and this one is even better than its predecessors. Jack Blank is a tween/ early teen who thinks he's an orphan who has the potential to be the greatest villain or hero of all time. The trilogy follows Jack on his journey of discovery. Highly suspenseful. Didn't put it down.
A very satisfying ending after an extremely tense book. I especially liked the author's note that explained that his choice to make Jack an orphan wasn't just a default author trick, but was actually based on some family history of his own. These characters are very fun to read about and I'd be happy to hear more of their story!
WOW! I'm so glad I finished this book. Yes it took me a while I had time between each book, I would recommend reading them together. I took a break because all the war stuff, however now that I've finished it I understand it. I was really good, a bit of reality in it as well. I was almost tearing by the end. The truth shall set you free is a good phrase for this book and the series. Well done! I really enjoyed it.
The end of this series is non-stop action. I loved every bit of it! The stakes are very high for Jack and his friends and the entire Imagine Nation throughout yhe entire book, so I honestly wasn't sure who would make it to the end.
A wonderful finale to an entertaining series. I'm adding it to my permanent collection, and I hope my daughters will enjoy it when they're older.

Matt has been drawing ever since he could first hold a pencil, and super heroes have always filled up the majority of the pages in his sketchbooks. That lifelong love of comic books spurred him to write the Jack Blank Adventure trilogy, published by Simon & Schuster's Aladdin imprint. All three books: THE ACCIDENTAL HERO (2010), THE SECRET WAR (2011), and THE END OF INFINITY (2012) are in stor...more
