Recommends it for: fans of Poe, Lovecraft, etc
Shelves: general-fiction
Will Kenyon knows a thing or two about monsters. As an avid board gamer he’s slain them by the hundreds; as the dungeon Overlord he’s employed them to slaughter many a would-be hero (your humble narrator not excepted). As a father of young children he’s exorcised them from under beds and behind bookshelves. Here, as an author, he invokes them, to delightful yet chilling effect.

Published last Hallow’s Eve, this collection of three stories offers more than cheap seasonal thrills. True, each one

Will Kenyon grew up in the "sticks" of South Georgia, and managed to work and think his way through college and grad school, finally settling with his family in a quaint, quiet suburb of Atlanta. He's been a freelancer for over decade, with a list of clients which includes Smithsonian magazine, Martha Stewart Omnimedia, ING, and Cisco. He's also published a handful of short stories and a decent nu ...more
