Brian Lumley's Titus Crow series is one of the first novels I started reviewing here on the United Federation of Charles and with Elysia I finished up the Seventies fantasy/horror/sci-fi series. It was a genre-busting work for its time and managed to take the works of H.P. Lovecraft and put an entirely unique spin on them. Ehh, I slogged through this one to finish it. I guess it's partially my fault I didn't really get into the story because this copy of Elysia has been sitting around forever and I had never gotten around to reading it. I didn't realize it tied together a bunch of Lumley's other Cthulhu novels featuring Titus Crow and as part of Lovecraft's "Dream Cycle".
