Fantastic writing.woderful and interesting characters with lots of attitude. Fell in love a little bit with Sheffield, hope there is more in the series. A book I could not put down,at all! A really great style of writing too, a lot of historical bits that must have been researched. I come from a village which still celebrates may day, pole and everything. I really connected...just lovely x

By the end of the book I did not want them to end up together. They had nothing in common, I felt they had no connection.
She only hurt and humiliated him.

We all know how tender a 10 year old child's feelings are and we also know when they love; they love with all their heart.

This is a wonderful story in an era that mates were chosen to benefit the family and the family finances or businesses, which is the case for Robert who is much older than Georgiana.

Georgiana's feelings are hurt terribly when she see's Robert in the arms of another women, never telling anyone what she saw she is determined she will decide for herself who she will marry and it

Look I love strong woman in fact I insist on it but add flighty, stubborn and wilful and I'm not such a fan. Georgie was that. How many times I wanted to shout at her to 'get over it already,' her erratic behaviour stemming from an incident she witnessed between Robert and another woman when she was 13 (she's now 20) and Robert was around 20 himself. Fast forward: Robert's returned home from his father's Caribbean slave plantation a very different man to the one who left seven

Wow. This book left me speechless. Olivia Kingsley did such a great job at building suspense from beggining to end. This book kept me on my toes through out the whole book. I was rooting with everything I had for Gerogiana and Robert. This was the cutest story of love. This book had a unique plot and a lot of sexual tenstion. There was a lot of other tension also that almost made me cry several times. I just can't even begin to describe how well this book was written and what this book did to my ...more

I won this book through

Romance novels are not really my usual choice. However, I was totally enthralled by this book. It wasn't a cheesy romance novel. I loved the emotional turmoil both characters when through. I loved that the heroine was a stubborn, independent woman. The fact that she wanted things in life that were not the norm for the period made her interesting.

This book is exactly the kind of book I want to read when I want romance. I will definitly look for more from thi

This extremely entertaining and credible story will suit anyone who enjoys the likes of Jane Eyre. Ms. Kingsley is historically accurate, her characters are vibrant and real and the banter is fun. Even though you might know exactly how this tale will end after only the first 20 pages, you will be riveted by the manner in which it will switch directions and hurdle complications to get there. Well done Ms. Kingsley. Oh please do it again!

Very pretty

Recency genre.

I love the way Olivia Kinsley writes. She strings the words together like it's a song. The only thing I didn't like was the flightyness of the girl, but it wasnt so extreme to be annoying. I don't know if this book is part of a series, but the characters are interesting enough to have their own stories. I hope I can afford them.

Loved it; my only issue was that I got frustrated with Georgie. Her stubbornness and blindness made me a little impatient with her. Otherwise, the romance was shiver-inducing, the writing was gorgeous, the story was beautiful, and the ending was perfect. Brilliant book.

Average. A bit irritated with the heroine who I thought was a bit too stubborn. Not too fond of story lines where the heroine can't decide what she wants & who holds a grudge against the hero for years.

Got this through a first-reads giveaway, and was surprised as it didn't read how I expected it to. The twists and turns made it a pretty interesting read and I liked how it ended.
