This book was more of a novella, and because of that the storyline doesn’t hang around. The story is told from the point of view of Rebecca Walker, budding photographer and part time burger joint waitress with a dark secret in her past, and a bright future ahead of her.

I’m going to be honest, this was a nice change from reading full length novels for me, and the story was fairly real and touching. The main character, Rebecca, comes across as a normal person, and someone I felt I could relate to

The Life and Times of Rebecca Walker is a novella about a waitress aspiring to become a photographer. Her career starts to take off when she goes in a new direction with her photos and teams up with a confident model.

All in all this novella wasn't a bad read. If you're a fast reader like I am, it will take you less than 30 minutes so it's perfect for a waiting-room atmosphere. That being said, I was not drawn to the story at all. Rebecca Walker has the beginnings of a great character, but the st

I won this book on goodreads

I enjoyed this story about a young women who is just starting out and is a waitress and budding photographer. A dark secret about her past comes out in the end but I felt it was glossed over rather then letting us know what Rebbeca really went through. I just wish that it had gone into more detail about the characters and the novella was expanded more.

I enjoyed the book very much and gave it 4 stars only because it left me feeling like I wanted to know more about the

Lol, it's like once I started it and turned the page I was done! But anyway, nice clean read, I wanted to know the punishment of those guy's though and why they did what they did. It was weird reading about how cordial everyone was...besides a few people or so. I actually wouldn't mind seeing the legs showing and the kittens chewing grass one, I'd want to see how she did them. The book was an excellent idea but I don't know I got the feeling that at a certain age young women start valuing ...more

I am the author of the novella, "The Life and Times of Rebecca Walker." I am also an avid blogger, sharing bits and pieces of my stories on Six Sentence Sunday.

As a student at Metropolitan State University I do a lot of reading and writing, but not often of the kind that I would prefer. When I'm not reading about gender related issues I enjoy reading historical fiction, coming of age stories, and
