“Falling in love with you has changed my entire life. I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t come dancing into my world.”

Rocky Mountain Haven the second book in Vivian Arend’s Six Pack Ranch series and it is about one of the middle Coleman brothers, Daniel. This book packs an emotional punch as it is a poignant tale about the most serious and reserved Coleman brother and a widow who was abused by her husband.

what a great story this was! Beth is trying to get her life back after an abusive marriage and a bad car accident that left her walking with a brace on her leg. Trying to feel like an attractive woman again and get her libido going she goes to a bar and is determined to find a man to pick up. Well she sees Daniel and decides to take a chance. What i loved about this little scene is Daniel could tell right from the start that this was not the real Beth and called her on it. So begins the romance...more
Loved it! But then again, I've yet to read anything from Vivian I did not enjoy. Such a great, well written, complete, romantic and emotional read that I was sad to see come to an end.
Beth has been through hell and back. She's getting ready to start anew with her three boys in Alberta. Physically, emotionally and mentally scarred by her late husband. She is hesitant about all men. That is until she meets Daniel Coleman (what a hunk of a man!)

A fantastic second book in the 6 Pack Ranch series. I really enjoyed book 1, but think this one might have even been better. I'm disappointed book 3 won't be out for another few weeks and even more disappointed that I'll have to wait even longer for the rest.
This was a great story about Daniel and Beth and their relationship. Beth is very apprehensive about letting someone into her heart after a terrible relationship with her now deceased ex-husband. But, she has no problem allowing Daniel in he...more

Rocky Mountain Haven is an emotionally gripping story of fated lovers who heal one another as well as they set the sheets on fire! Vivian Arend’s Rocky Mountain Haven is the second in her Six Pack Ranch Series and it was a poignant tale that was heartwarming and thought-provoking. Oh My! I was hoping this book was every bit as good as the first one. I have to say that it was not, it was even better, This story absolutely WOWED me.
This of course was book 2 in the series and it revolves around Daniel. I LOVED everything about Daniel and the way he treated the heroine Beth and her children.

When Beth Danube packs up her family and moved to small town Rocky Haven the last person she expects to see there is Daniel, the man who made such an impact on her a few month ago in a nightclub.
Needless to say Beth was surprised but had no time to dwell on it, because Daniel Coleman is not a man to be thwarted twice and soon makes clear to Beth that he is interested in her and he is not willing to hide or be her dirty little secret.

Rocky Mountain Haven by Vivian Arend was another phenomenal story in the Six Pack Ranch companion series. I am in love with this series. A family full of six, sexy cowboys. Hot, erotic sex scenes. Passionate romance. What’s not to love?

Rocky Mountain Haven is a truly great addition to the 6 Pack Ranch series. The opening scene where Beth and Daniel meet in a bar and have instant chemistry was fabulous but I really liked how Vivian did not make it too easy for the relationship to start. Beth gave Daniel a disconnected number before leaving the bar.

I liked this even better than book 1. While we still get glimpses into the Coleman family life, I felt like more of the focus was on the hero and heroine here.
I really adored Daniel and Beth. Daniel was almost too good to be true - understanding, sweet, loving. But somehow, he wasn't boring because of that. He was interesting. And exciting. And sigh-worthy. And the way he handled Beth's kids? Full of win.

The first half of this book was hot. But then the last half sort of dragged for me - the pace of the story seemed slower as the hero and heroine settled into their relationship and became friends (as well as lovers).
I'm not sure if it was just the way the Kindle version was formatted, but the jumps in days/weeks was a little confusing since there was no distinguishing break between one paragraph and another that suddenly had you two weeks later in the story.

Finished last night and omg, I don't know where to start... I loved this book so hard!

I was given this book for my completely honest thoughts and words... So here goes!
This is not to be considered a short book by page numbers. Coming in around 250 pages... but when you start this book, you will want to finish it! I am a fan of Ms. Vivian's work and I did read book one and review it (here). And to say that I want more on those Coleman boys is an understatement.

Rocky Mountain Haven was a special, awesome read for me.
After the death of her husband in a car crash, Beth Danube, a 29-year-old mother of 3 young sons moves from Calgary, Alberta to small town Rocky Mountain House to start a new life. When the accommodation she has arranged doesn’t work out the building’s owner arranges for her and the children to move into a house next door to the Coleman’s Six Pack Ranch. Probably 3.5 stars but upped to 4 because Daniel is such a sexy, sweetheart.
What I liked about this book was the ongoing family that are the Coleman's, they're just so warm and all encompassing of others and one another. There are lots of sexy as hell men in the extended Coleman family, and I for one can't wait for Gabe and Matt (Helen is such a bitch) to get their respective stories. I found when they were in Rocky Mountain Haven the book lit up a bit more. I also really liked Daniel, although...more

This review is for the all three of the Six Pack Ranch novels.
First I need to ask, I’m Canadian and I’d like know where these Canadian cowboys are hiding? This book was recommended to me because I am a fan of Loralei James’ Rough Rider series. Although I didn’t like them quite as much as the Rough Riders, it was close.
I loved the heroes in this series. They come from an old fashioned ranching family and have the perfect blend of cowboy chivalry and sexy bad boy. The heroines are all spunky and...more

The story was alright until it got the the really sappy part(chapter 14). It fealt like a Hallmark movie story. Where the two main characters gush all over each other. Where they face her past problems and the guy is just nuts for the girl and everything is hunky dory. And she avoided him at start but quickly comes to get to close to him way to soon.
The author jumps from month to month to get the story out in the novella. I still may check out other stories in this series. If they are just like...more

I cleared some time and dove in to Rocky Mountain Haven. Yet again I haven't read the original and I don't need to. I loved this story how it is now.
The wounded and recovering Beth and her boys, who were not annoying or over shadowing anything. Daniel who is just so emotionally yummy, not to mention physically, but its how he is toward Beth that really pulled me in. He was soft and gooey inside but still a tower of strength. He had no problem falling in love, it even seemed he was looking forwar...more

Huh I've read two vivian Arends books before Turn It Up and Turn it On and I didn't like them all that much but I decided to give these a try...And I'm glad I did for this book was actually really good....
The sex was HOT but then again that was not the problem with the turner twins book I just felt like there was no feelings in those books but I don't feel like that about this one...
very sweet and hot book...

I loved this book! Rocky Mountain Haven is book #2 in the Six Pack Ranch series by Vivian Arend and boy was it a good one. Ms. Arend was not only able to write a great story around a very sensitive issue, but boy did she write some super hot sex scenes. Heck, I think the phone sex alone made me squirmy.

I read the re-release of this through Samhain, so thats what I'm reviewing.
My initial impression is awww! Beth and Daniel are so cute together and they're just aww.

Second book in this series and now we have Daniel Coleman story to follow and I loved how he dialed with her fears and helped her handle the new life and still raise her kids.
Daniel is not so happy with the farmers life as his brothers and uses more his time with the Colemans other business, build furniture and sell custom made pieces.
He’s trying to change and find a way to be happy fulfilling his dreams, but is also a bit afraid of this new project and how to handle everything by himself.

Another great addition to “The Six Pack Ranch” novels! This book takes place during and carries on after the end of the first novel. In this story we are introduced to Beth, a widowed mother of three young boys who comes to live in the spare house on the Coleman Ranch. Beth comes from an abusive past and is trying to start a new life for her and her boys. One of the main things she wants to focus on is regaining her faith in men. She meets Daniel Coleman in a bar and the two of them pretty much...more

Another great story. Boy, these Coleman men seem to have been raised right. I thought Daniel's side story was sad from the first one... he caught mumps, and he became sterile as a result. Once his long-time girlfriend found out, she left him. Biotch!
So in this story, we start off with Daniel meeting Beth in a bar during an odd trip away from the ranch. They had definite chemistry, but Beth was gun shy about men in general after her horrible, abusive, controlling marriage. Her husband had died,...more

Vivian Arend in one word: Adventurous. In a sentence: Willing to try just about anything once. That wide-eyed attitude has taken her around North America, through parts of Europe, and into Central and South America, often with no running water.
