I want to qualify this rating by stating I’m giving it 4.5-5 stars for the interesting story, but 3-3.5 stars for the writing—not the mechanics, which are fine, but the grammar is more YA than I expected and the prose a little lacking in descriptives, but that can simply be due to the closed-off senses of the girl in question.

I ran across this book on goodreads and, as I’m borderline Agoraphobic, my curiosity was piqued. The story is set on Earth after Humanity has been conquered by a race of
