There’s a monster running around Dublin, and it’s up to Ava to catch it. The pressure’s on, and she’s becoming as cynical as Peter. But when a demon marks her friend, and a possible threat from England spells war, Ava’s left with a huge choice to make. The lives of one or many.

Tempt (Ava Delaney no 3) by Claire Farrell

Tempt is the third book in this series. I enjoyed reading this book as much as I did the previous ones.

Ava is still living a life that she doesn't really want. She is a human/angel/vampire hybrid. Many fear her and want her dead. Others want to use her, exploit her powers. Ava just wants a quiet, ordinary life. There seems little chance of that happening.

Ava is obviously depressed. The burden of trying to restrain the darkness within, the uncertainty of...more

The emotional involvement is improving over the course of the series, which made me enjoy this one more than the first two installments. Characters are developing nicely. The heroine has the potential for being way overpowered, but so far the author has restrained herself on that front and kept her powers within reasonable boundaries. Interesting complications are developing between the heroine and the cast of secondary characters.

I don't like much romance in my UF, and thankfully the author has...more

I love this series. Tempt felt more like a full novel not a novella. Ava is still growing in her powers and understanding of what she is. She doesn't know who to trust and for certain, I couldn't tell her if she jumps form the pages to ask. The woman is surrounded by people and people-ish persons that can't be trusted to pour a glass of water without exacting a price. I won't lie, Ava's temper got on my nerves but after awhile Ms. Farrell provided a legit explanation of why Ava was so moody. It...more

(tiny spoilers in this review)

She’s back. Ava is back. She’s chasing Becca down and nothing is going to stop her. She’ll go to the ends of the Earth if need be. Liverpool to be exact.

It’s good to see that the sixteen-year-old Ava is in the closet and the ass-kicking Ava is back in the forefront. She’s still vulnerable and she still cares about humans to a fault. She also cares about her friends. I like that about her though.

Her relationship with Peter gets leveled up a notch thanks to some super...more

Ava is still sorting through all the issues in her life and Becca is running rampant through the city. Becca turned into some grotesque beast and it looks like Ava might be the only one to stop her. She is doing her best, but things are rough. Carl is acting weird and who knows if she can trust Peter or Eddie or anyone else for that matter.

I'm looking forward to continuing this series. It's been fun.

This series started out slow, but it has grown on me. This book left small unresolved issues that will allow for another book to be written but nothing that leaves me hanging. As much as I love a great cliff hanger it does also leave me frustrated at the same time. Lol. I like that there were a few moments between peter and ava. I think there is so much more to gabe. Can't wait for book 4.

I still love this series and the characters but was disappointed in this book because all Ava seemed to do in this book was continually running around. That being said, I liked the little clue from Lucia about Ava holding hands with a little boy.... Might be Peter's? I can't wait to read the next chapter in her life and helping children with mixed blood!

I liked this book better than book 2. Ava starts to make decisions and step up rather than push people away. It makes the story much more interesting when the characters interact more and we get less of Ava's internal battles. But again I was pretty enthrall and quickly started the next book.

I almost can't take these books. There has to be a point where there is a break! Even a tiny one but still! Other then the constant constant constant, dare I say, never ending tension, I find myself quite intertained!

This one was the best of the 3. I definitely want to see it wrapped up but I can already see how the author is just stretching things along to make more and more books.

This story continues to get better with each new book in the series. I enjoyed this book just as much as the first two. Can not wait to read the next one.

This book was kinda slow but it had it's moment where the action in the book picked up. I'm pretty happy that Ava and Peter finally got together. Overall it was a good read.
