Cat Colvin returns in Dark Days, Book 2 of The Childe series, by Carol and Adam Kunz. The story picks up just one day after the final events of The Childe. Cat's world has been completely shattered and nothing is as it seemed. Cat, at first, has a lot of trouble dealing with the new identity that she must assume, now that she knows what she is. She longs for her life to be the way it was, but the more she clings to normalcy the more abnormal her life becomes. With both the Werewolf Counsel tryin...more

I am loving this series because the mythology is really interesting and there are plenty of twists and turns. This book delved even deeper then the first and it answered a lot of my questions, but also brought on a whole new set of questions. I felt bad for poor Cat, she went through a lot in this book. She was a total trooper though and that's what I love about her. I also love how there were a few things that the reader gets to learn that Cat doesn't know about. I can't wait to learn more in t...more

Where do I start with how much I loved Dark Days! As soon as I got it I read the first 200 pages that night. I couldn't put it down. Credit has to be given to Adam and Carol for a great series. I really enjoyed The Childe (the first book in the series) and didn't think it could get any better as it was already so awesome but to my surprise and joy it got a million times more better and I feel the next book and the next book after that wi...more

OMG what an INCREDIBLE sequel to an incredible book. Dark Days makes you feel like you are right back in Cat's world. In Dark Days, book 2, Cat's crazy life begins to unravel as she learns secret after secret about herself and the world around her. I HONESTLY could not put this book down. I stayed up until 5:00am reading this book the first day I started it. SERIOUSLY could not wait to find out what happened next.

I received a copy of this book along with The Childe during the blog tour and I haven't gotten to read this book till now!

I was a big confused about who was who because it had been a while between the first book and this book. Plus, I'd read other books in between too, but I quickly caught on!

I really liked meeting the two newly discovered family members of Cat's. Her aunt and uncle. I really liked them. They seemed nice and...more

I bought the first book in the series on my Nook when it first came out...I am not sure why authors' don't take advantage of every single avenue of publication open to them. I know that if I come across a recommendation from goodreads or a friend I check the book out right away, if it is available and is interesting to me, I buy it. If it is not available for me to buy on the Nook, I don't and then...I forget about it. Essentially the author has lost the chance at a sale, because I am not going...more

What a fun read! Dark Days, book two in The Childe series by mother/son team CA Kunz, picks up where The Childe ends and takes off running.

Cat Colvin, dealing with the fallout of life-changing revelations, is understandably angry and confused, but knows she must quickly come around and come to terms with her new life. As usual, Cat is a charming main character. She feisty, brave and will do anything for her family and friends.

Speaking of family and friends, The Childe is filled with a large, i...more

Secrets, action and a lot more surprises unravel as Cat not only learns more about who she is, the power that lies within her, but she realizes that there's more to many of the town's people's and it's secrets than she first thought. What a fantastic sequel! I really enjoyed the fast paced storyline, getting to learn a lot more about Cat and the history of those around her as well as learning more about the series' mythology. I surprised with how wrapped up into the story I became. I couldn't tu...more

A great continuation of the first book, The Childe. This one starts off right after where the last one ended, making it really easy to stay in the story. Added benefit for not having to re-read anything about the first book at the beginning of the second. This one has a much darker feel (hence the title), with betrayal, mystery and more secrets being revealed. I AM a bit miffed that this one ends in a cliff hanger and I have to wait until WINTER to figure out what happens next, but I will be mak...more

C.A Kunz have done it again! Dark Days is an extremely formidable read, one which will have you pulling the pages for more. It is irresistibly sublime!

Dark Days starts of on the very same day The Childe finished so it leaves nothing out.

I thoroughly enjoy reading about all te characters in the novel and that's never happened before when I read a book. Each character b...more

I literally JUST finished this book a few hours ago and my jaw is still on the ground! I really liked The Childe. I loved the characters, the amount of mystery and action in it, and I was well prepared to enjoy Dark Days, however, I was not thinking it was going to be this good! It took it me on one wild ride of twists and turns that I never saw coming. It made me love characters I was previously annoyed with, it gave me insight to things I was confused about before, it answered ALL of the quest...more

I first read C.A. Kunz's book The Childe in May and I loved it. I loved the characters, the feel and the flow of the story. Dark Days takes up right where The Childe left off and it more than delivers. The characters are more enchanting than ever before and the story flow is so clean and crisp it draws you completely in. I liked everything about this book and cannot wait to get my hands on book 3. Kudos to C.A Kunz for giving me a world I absolutely adore.

Dark Days is another fantastic book in the series by the mother and son duo, C.A. Kunz. This book is non-stop action. There is always something going on. I love that there are so many characters involved in the story, yet we get to spend time with all of them. We see a softer side of Taylor (which I love), a protective side from Ryan, and even get to meet some new characters. Once again I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!

C.A. Kunz did an amazing job. They really did an excellent job with where the story was going to go next, and they didn't waste any time. Usually you have to get through the first 50 pages of a novel to get to the good stuff, but this was excellent from page one. I also loved that they didn't try to make their characters have a sudden personality change, but did it gradually where it just felt like growth of that character and that it still felt true to them. Dark Days is a thrilling, action pac...more

I am really liking this series a lot. Even if there is a cliff hanger, and I'm impatient when it comes to those. I hope book 3 is coming soon.

The characters are terrific, they really draw you in, and are believable.I like the way various supernaturals are being dealt with in these books. They're not the typical, accepted mythos, and I like that.
Matt
The series just gets better and better as you go along. The new book picks right up where the last one left off. There is teen angst, testing of friendships, mystery, secrets, revelations, more secrets and a little romance. Definitely worth adding to your collection. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I really like the sequel to this series. I love discovering Cat's world as she does, but there are some things that I would like further explanation on such as the hunter and seeker who show up and mysteriously help the town of Astoria, without anyone knowing!!

Dark Days is the continuation story of The Childe. Cat finds out that she is half vampire and that someone is trying to hunt her down. I really enjoyed this second book and can't wait for the third, (especially because it ends at a cliff hanger!). Great story!

Wow!!! What an amazing ride, my heart is still pounding. A lot is going on this book and many of my questions get answered but are now replaced with new ones. I cannot wait for the third book out!!

Wow! This story just keeps getting better and better! There's never a dull moment as Cat realized she's only begun to uncover the secrets surrounding her. Some of the surprises I kinda saw coming, while others caught me completely off guard! Cat is starting to get a better grasp on who she is & now it's time to decide who she can really trust with the truth. The loyalty from some of her friends is actually pretty amazing! Things really started getting shook up in the book, though, so I will...more

i enjoyed this book more than the first book. I felt that the story had an end but was still set up to continue into the next book. I look forward to reading the 3rd book in this series.

After getting The Childe free on Amazon, I checked it out and fell in love with it. I immediately bought Dark Days and found it even more amazing. The world in Dark Days is so interesting. The characters are smart and funny. The end of Dark Days will definitely leave you hanging on for more. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

A total love of story telling is what inspired this fifty-four year young mom and her twenty-six year old son to write together.

Carol Kunz was born in New Ferry, England. Her interest in the supernatural was first sparked upon meeting a ghost at the age of eight. As a teenager, she was always fascinated by the mythology behind vampires, werewolves and witches. Being an avid reader, Carol finds it...more
