It feels somewhat wrong to give a star rating to a book which is basically one man's description of his spiritual experience - so I want to make it very clear that I'm not making any attempt to judge Meyer's spiritual path here. All I can do is reflect back my experience in reading this book as it is presented.

I won this book in a drawing at Namaste Bookstore in Manhattan, so I didn't expect much (I assumed they were giving away books that didn't sell). But I found the book to be quite inspiring and simply written.

Dr. Meyer presents a series of mini chapters, digestible for daily meditation, on a variety of topics related to buddhism, mindfulness, enlightment, etc. He presents them in the context of his own self-discoveries. I especially liked the chapter on the emotional life of horses. I knew that...more
