Often times, our greatest desires can ultimately be our downfall. Unfortunately, in Jez Alborough's "Ice Cream Bear", Ice Cream Bear was a victim of his own desire. Constant procrastination in favor of ice cream seem to be a daily occurance for Ice Cream Bear. He prioritizes ice cream above all else to the point where he slowly becomes more and more fixated on ice cream. Before he knows it, all he can think about is getting more. A fun book written in verse about a bear who thinks ice cream is falling like snowflakes from the sky. As a lover of ice cream, I could totally relate.

Just love this book, read it to my kids when they were little when it was called Cupboard Bear, a joy to read it now to my grandson!
