Think you can trust your husband? Think again!

That's what the gossipy types at Erica Bentley's new job say. Even her (multi–divorced) mom agrees. But Erica's sure she knows her husband, Tom, better than that. He says he loves her, and shows it in a million ways. Except…he has been working extra–late these days. And he's been kinda quiet. Even secretive.

Happily married Tom

This is a book, I approached quite warily at first because it is just so different from what I usually read. The title first drew me in and because it sounded like fun I gave it a try. I'm really glad I did so.

The Bentleys buy a Buick is a sweet and funny contemporary romance about a married couple with everyday problems and a lot of love between them.
"Happily married Tom Bentley never thought his head could be turned—until he saw Clara. Her sleek body has him longing, and he can't get her 127

"For Tom Bentley it was love at first sight. She was beautiful, there was no denying that. She was graceful, sophisticated, enticing."

Tom Bentley, husband, father and business owner of Bentley's Classic Car Care is in love with Clara, a 1956 Buick Roadmaster convertible. For Erica, Tom's wife, going back to work now that six year-old Quint has started school is working out well. The young couple need the extra money. But when Erica's work colleagues start talking about the classic signs

What an unusual book!
Finally, FINALLY I have read a book about a married couple that has problems-but where there are no separations/cheating/stress/ugly drama/dead children.

If you want to read about a couple after they had their HEA and started real life then this is the one for you. It is a bit slow but nevertheless fun and even more importantly- funny.

Also, cudos for Pamela Morsi! I am a big fan of her older books but it seems this author know how to home in when it comes to new age contemp.

Recently I’ve been reading a few more novels more located in the contemporary romance genre (yeah, I know, there are so many genres to keep up on) and I’ve found them to be such pleasant, quick reads. The Bentleys Buy A Buick is my most recent read on my Kindle and although it wasn’t a very taxing read, it was a quite enjoyable one. There aren’t many novels that focus on cars, at least not many novels I read, so I found The Bentleys Buy A Buick to be a welcome change. It’s refreshing to learn a ...more

If you ever needed a clear cut case of how idle speculation and lunchroom gossip can spiral a situation out of control, this story proves that point.

Erica Bentley has gone back to work as a coder in the Medical Records department of the local hospital after spending the past six years at home raising her son. She enjoys being back in a work environment and tries to fit in with the rest of the staff in her office. The only trouble, they seem to gossip about everyone at the hospital. Erica never t

Tom Bentley has loved vintage cars since he was a boy, and in spite of his upbringing or lack of it he’s turned into a respectable husband, father and business owner and there’s nothing more important to him than his family especially knowing what it’s like not to have one. He’s now found a new love, a 56 Buick Roadmaster with a Continental Kit, and he’s determined to do right by her and her owner to find just the right home for her. Erica Bentley is a good mother and a good wife in spite of her ...more

Pamela Morsi is an author whose books I have really enjoyed. She initially started with historical romances and then branched into contemporary romance/women's fiction. She's been exceptionally good at both. This book is no exception.

Tom and Erica Bentley have been married for a decade, and have one son Quinton, also lovingly known as "Quint." Tom owns his own business a garage specializing in classic cars. Erica has just returned to work doing codes at a local hospital. They share everything w

The Bentleys Buy a Buick was a cute, refreshing book about a married couple who love one another dearly but whose marriage almost goes off track due to a lack of communication. Tom Bentley was a wonderful character, a man who truly loves his wife and knows that she is the best thing that has ever happened to him. Erica Bentley loves and trusts her husband, but when the signs start to point to his possible infidelity, she struggles with the idea of whether she will be able to forgive him or not. ...more

Tom is working later than ever at his auto repair shop. He has fallen in love with a classic Buick he is restoring. As he is not doing anything wrong he doesn’t see the need to give much explanations to his wife about his new longer hours.
After years as a stay-at-home mom, Erika has just returned to work in the medical records department of the local hospital. She is making new friends but the lunch gossip about cheating husbands and their “modus operandi” starts to sow doubts in Erika about To

So I enjoyed Morsi's The Cotton Queen and that's why I had this on my to-read list. But I did have my doubts when I read the premise b/c it did sound rather cheesy. Should've listened to my instincts! I got though about 100 pages before I gave up. It was boring and the writing almost seemed amateurish. Also, one of the secondary characters is a flagrant adulterer and infidelity always turns me off. Sure, that secondary storyline was a foil to the main characters' story but I just couldn't connec ...more

My grade for this one is actually 4.5. It doesn't quite reach the level of Morsi's best work, but I loved it nonetheless. It's just one more of Morsi's extraordinary treatment of ordinary lives.

I always enjoy Pamela Morsi's books. A very nice story of a couple working hard to build a normal life together, despite the upheaval of their past, and the things that can happen when trust briefly falters.

An easy quick read.....nice to finally read a story about a married couple still in love and happy......just a little lack of communication but nothing that love and committment can't fix!:)
Cindy
Cute, fun read, but typical chic-lit.

A bit of a disappointment, since I've really enjoyed other books by this author. This one just didn't grab me.

I really enjoyed this story - picture perfect for a Hallmark Family Movie (with some editing, of course)!
Kay
What a fun read. Ok, we knew at the onset that they buy the car. Loved the way this unfolded.

More of a 3.5. Not as emotional as "Red's Hot Honky Tonk". Nice slice of life story.
Regina
As usual, Morsi has written an engaging and enjoyable book.
Heidi
